IPhone 4.1 lost my calendar

About the time iPhone 4.1 became available, my iPhone calendar went blank. Figuring that I needed the new operating system, I upgraded. Still no calendar. I can see the calendar on Outlook and MobileMe, but my iPhone Calendar is blank. Any ideas? I've tried turning it off and then back on using 'settings' - no luck.

This is a 4.1 issue with the iPod Touch and the iPhone. My Calendar has had issues with the last three upgrades. 4.1 however is the worst. If you set your iPhone\iPod Touch to List view then close and re-open the screen is blank. If you hit the Calendar button on the top left of the phone or Touch then toggle the Hide-View and return everything is again visible. Leaving the device in Day or Month view, going in and out of the program, you will see the event(s) refresh then display. In List mode it tries to display but it gets stuck in a blank screen.
Hours on the phone with Apple support then an appointment with the Genius bar and a new replacement same issue. The way I discovered it was 4.1 related vs. anything else was after I performed a Restore as New on the device, did not sync, then entered one calendar entry on the device went in an out of the Calendar in "List" mode to see the issue.
I called a Senior Care rep yesterday and asked that they start checking their own devices loaded with 4.1 to establish this as a possible issue with all 4.1 Touches and iPhones. I have spoke with several Sen Reps and none know this as a known issue yet.

Were you syncing calendar events over the air with your iCloud account or syncing calendar events direct with a supported calendar app on your computer via the iTunes sync process?
If your planner is your life, not a good idea to depend on one device for your calendar events. They should be available on your computer as well along with the data included with your computer's backup.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

HI, what exactly makes you think it's a Virus?
Where did you download them from?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

It would default to whatever account you have set for default. If you were using Exchange, it would sync to that. However, the settings for syncing are set up in iTunes. You would need to check to see what settings were in iTunes for syncing the information. It could be a supported application on the computer, or a cloud service as I said earlier.
On my personal phone, it will default to my iPhone calendar which I sync with Outlook on my computer. I can select the Exchange account if I want, but my default is what I sync with Outlook.

If you removed the device from your iCloud account rather than using the "Stop Lost Mode" option, then you will most certainly need to restore the iPhone, and that will require a computer running iTunes.

You can use iCloud to share the Calendar, that way she will always be up to date on that particular section of your work calendar. If you want to use iCloud, I would recommend backing up so you have a safe copy of your data.

Sort of if you can get hold of the iPod before it is erased, turn wifi off, then backup the iPod, turn wifi on and let it erase. Then restore from backup.

Pressing "Today" on iPhone no longer working in Calendar List view...?!

Using iPhone 3GS v3.1.2 with MobileMe.
Up until a couple of days ago, the iPhone Calendar was working fine.
Now, however, when I press Today in >list< view it takes me to >yesterday's< calendar items. (Today button works fine in Day and Month views)
Erasing the iPhone's calendars and re-syncing to MobileMe has not helped... Neither has rebooting or force-resetting the iPhone.
Anyone else had this problem?? It's really annoying.

It seems to have resolved (for now). Not sure which step fixed the problem...
Contacted MobileMe support about Calendar sync'ing not working reliably between iPhone and iMac, and the Calendar not appearing on me.com ("Calendar currently not available").
It appears that they then reset the MobileMe syncing for my account at their end. Logged out of me.com, logged back in, and the problems were solved.
At least this is something that others can try if they have this same problem--can't guarantee that this particular step is the one that fixed it because I was trying lots of things in succession.
