IPhone 4 accidentally restored to old phone -HELP!

the other night i connected my iphone to my mac to upload pictures, as I always do with no problem. however i accidentally pressed something that made my entire phone revert to my OLD iPhone. I still have iphone 4 capabilities (video, facetime, etc.) but all of my contacts, photos, email account set-ups, keychain items are now from my previous iphone. ??? I'm not sure what i've done, but it seems i've lost all the photos/video that i even tried to upload in the first place. Is all of that gone forever?! All of my voice notes, notepad notes, text messages - EVERYTHING- is back to 7 months ago when i had completely different hardware. ??
ANY help or advice on how to UNDO what I've done and get my old data back would be GREATLY appreciated. This is confusing for me to explain so if you have any questions please just let me know.
THANKS!!

Unless you have a recent backup there is no way to change it back.

99% because your iPhone was hacked/jailbroken. We cannot help you, see terms of use.
Error 1015: This error is typically caused by attempts to downgrade the software for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version isn't supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple. This error can also occur when an unauthorized modification of the iOS has occurred and you're now trying to restore to an authorized, default state.

  • HT4859 I have 2 phones saved on iCloud, one is old phone and other is new. How do I restore my old phone data from iCloud to my new one?

I have 2 phones saved on iCloud storage, one is old phone and other is my new one. How do I restore my old phone data from iCloud storage to my new one?
It shows like 4.3GB is stored on my old and 105.9MB on my new. I want to restore the 4.3 to my new, how do I do that please?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
You will need to restore your phone and when prompted use the backup that you made yesterday.
Before you do so, you may wish to change your wife's iCloud login details, otherwise you may find that you then overwrite her data. She should have her own iCloud account to avoid this.

  • Cannot sync my iPhone 4S after I restored my old phone's content

I purchaced a new (slightly used) iPhone yesterday and I had a back up on my computer from about a month ago. My old iPhone broke so I had to buy a new one. I set it up and restored my old data onto my phone, I have all of the old notes, all of the old pictures but my iPhone will not let me sync my music because "it is not authorized on this computer" which it is. I cannot restore it again, because iTunes "Does not recognize the iPhone" What can I do to fix this?

I had the same problem, after a long discussion with Apple one of their engineers came up with the bright idea of restoring from the original backup via WiFi rather than connecting to iTunes by USB. This should give you a pretty good idea as to whether the photos are there in your backup file, as for instance it said uploading 22 of 863 photos for me, left it overnight to restore from backup via WiFi, restarted the iPhone in the morning and all of my photos had been restored. I have since backed up all photos to a very helpful Dropbox "Camera Uploads" update.
To restore from iCloud via WiFi, on your device:
Open Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
Wait for the device to restart, input Time and Date Settings and Connect to WiFi.
Log in using your Apple ID and select Restore from iCloud Backup. (Ensure it is the iCloud backup with all relevant photos).
Leave device to Restore overnight and restart in the morning!

  • Upgraded from Iphone 4 to 4s.  old phone backed up to iCloud.  How do I restore that data to my new iphone?

I just upgraded from the iPhone 4 to 4s.  I had backed up the old phone backed up to iCloud.  How do I restore that data to my new iphone?  Even though I had photostream on, it never synched.  I installed iCloud for the pc and can see the backup up in the cloud.  I just want to get all the data to the new phone.

When you go through the new phone setup, it should ask if you want to setup as new or restore from iCloud. If you have already setup as new, you will have to reset the 4S to factory settings, and go through setup again.

  • IPhone 6 -restoring from old phone on iOS7

Do i need to update my old iPhone 5 (on iOS 7) before i restore my new iPhone 6 (which is already on iOS8) from the iphone5 backup ?

I have just recently backed up the iPhone 5 16GB (iOS 7.1.2) and am now restoring the new iPhone 6 16GB (already on iOS8) from that backup. This is my third attempt, and each time it tells me the estimated time remaining is over 10 hours and just keeps getting longer. This does not seem right. All i am trying to do is grab the data, setup, notes, etc. from my old phone....why would this take so long? There is some music and a few apps, but its only a few gigs...maybe a couple hours tops.

  • No service on new iphone after restore from old phone

I bought a new 5 and tried to set it up using itunes that I've always used with my old 3GS.  Has the latest OS, but it still isn't transferring the service to the new phone.  It has all the apps, but it has no phone service, which is still on my old phone.
    Thanks!
    Kelly

I would hope that the phone isn't stolen. The seller had over 700 feedback points on eBay with 100% positive feedback. I'll contact Three.
Edit: I checked the serial number on the Service & Repair section of the Apple website and it is covered by warranty until April 20 2013 (like the seller said). Wouldn't it be marked as blacklisted or similar if it was a stolen product?

  • New iPhone 5s backed up from old phone cant get KEYNOTE etc

I bought the new iphone 5s and backed it up from my old phone. I went to itunes excited about getting the free apps that they were offering such as keynote and pages etc. Its not recognizing that I purchased the new phone. Help... what do I need to do?

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, try temporarily recreating the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  Now try using your current password even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.  If successful, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

  • Moving iphone 4 content to an iphone 6, while keeping the old phone

I currently use an iPhone 4.  I am getting an iPhone 6, and plan to bring all my apps and settings from the old phone to the new one.
I expect that the process is simply doing a backup of the old, and then choosing to use the backup as for a "restore" on the new phone when i first activate it through iTunes. That doesn't worry me and is not my question.
My concern is that I plan to keep the old phone also.  So my plan is to give the new iPhone 6 a different name before doing the restore from the iPhone 4 backup.  Will that work?
Also - as I go forward will it be a problem to keep synching both phones using the same instance of iTunes and the same Apple ID?  I am guessing that I may run into some app updating issues with updates that can't run on the old iOS in the iPhone 4 (it cannot be updated to iOS 8).  I suspect I'll just need to delete such apps when the time comes.
Can anyone give some insights on how this will work?  I am guessing a lot here - and I'd rather know before I charge forward.
    Thanks.

Your expectations are correct. You certainly can give the iPhone 6 a different name. iTunes will keep the two phones distinct. Apps which will not run on the iPhone 4 iOS level will not be loaded to it.

  • Can't activate a old phone, help!

My aunt was on my plan but she switched to Cox yesterday. She gave me her old phone because mine barely works. I tried to activate it yesterday, online and by phone, and they both told me it couldn't be done because the phone must be deactivated first. But the problem is, it is deactivated. You can't call or text with it. We even got a message saying it was deactivated. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Please help! I'm tired of having a phone that dies after one phone call.

It is suspending pending disconnection... the disconnect will not be processed until the end of the current bill cycle.

  • IPhone won´t restore! *URGENT PLS HELP*

    Hi!
I really need your help guys. I am abroad and can not get my iPhone to repair for a long time, so I am hoping you can help me solving this problem here! My iPhone started acting up this morning: when I turned it on, it showed me the connect to iTunes screen and the emergency only calls slide. I restarted it a few times, took the sim card in and out to no avail. I then connected it to iTunes and forced a restore, also in DUF mode. The restore never completes as I get the 1013 error. I followed all steps on article TS1275 , again to no avail. I don´t know what else to do! The iPhone is now stuck in restore mode. Please help if you can!

I activated and bought the iPhone in Italy. I am italian and have now moved to Denmark. I had a previous iPhone 3G, also bought and activated in Italy last year and have never had a problem with restores. And yes the computer I use is the one authorized to the iPhone. The error I get is 1013, which I understand happens when you are trying to downgrade the iphone firmware, but it is certainly not my case as I am trying to restore it with the latest firmware.

  • HELP! i was trying to get pics from my newer phone onto my computer for a project. i accidentally restored my old iphone and lost all the pictures, texts, from my newer one. can this be fixed? please say yes :(

    please someone help me!

You need to check if a back up was made of your new phone when the content that has now gone missing was on their.
Also if you used iCloud you could check if there was a back up made on there and it should have pictures from camera roll if they were on there when the back up was made. Also you could check photostream if you used it and see if the photos are on there aswel.
    hope this helps

  • I lost all of the contacts and photos on my iPhone after accidentally restoring it to my iPod's data, is there a way to get back that info?

I just got a new iPhone and it had not been backed up on my computer until now.  Are the contacts saved elsewhere?  It seems as though all of the stuff saved on my iPhone has been replaced with all of the stuff saved on my iPad touch, even the tabs I had open in Safari!  I can't find the back up of the stuff originally on my iPhone.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am in tears right now because I entered all my 11month old sons milestones into my phone and now I have nothing I'm so upset and am hoping there is a way to get this information back.
Most intelligent people would not store such sensitive data on a device that could so easily be lost, stolen, or damaged.  Even if they chose to do so, they would use the device as designed and regularly sync and backup that device as described in the User's Guide.
Have you done so?  If you have, all of the data is either in iCloud or iTunes on your computer.  Replace the device and restore the new iDevice with the backup of the old one.

  • Accidentally restored to old back up now I can't log in

I restored to an old back up from jan 13 by mistake, problem being my email address has changed since then and I now can't log in to iTunes because it thinks my Apple ID is my old email address. Therefore I can't switch find my iPhone off in order to restore to the newer iCloud back up.....
I am going round in circles trying to fix this and any help would be greatly appreciated.
