Iphone 4 and Itunes Library
i have a iphone 4 Whenever i sync it or buy something from the itunes store i would use my desktop pc. i recently purchased a mac pro laptop and whenever i connect my iphone 4 to the new laptop and i go to my itunes library the purchases are not in my library and therefore i cant get them on my iphone. i'm certain its something simple that i need to do but i don't know what.that is. I appreciate anyones help.

Move everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old computer, to the new one.

I just purchased a new Iphone. I have it connected with my computer at the office. I just bought three songs from ITunes last night using the AT & T wireless interface. I then brought the Iphone to my office and inserted it in its port next to my computer. ITunes asked me if I wanted to add my office computer to have my song library. I said yes. It then exported all three songs from my Iphone Ipod library onto the comoputer, and they are no longer on my Iphone! How do I reverse this? I don't want to pay twice for the same music! When you play one of the purchased songs on your office computer, itunes will check to see if the computer is authorized to play music from your itunes store account. If not, itunes will ask you to authorize it. Once this is done, you need to check the settings in the music tab when your iphone is connected to the computer. See if you have anything checked to sync music to your iphone. If it is not set to all songs and playlists, make sure the music is in the particular playlist you are syncing.
Once the music is back on your iphone, you can move it to your home computer by click on file and transfer purchases when you have the iphone connected to your home computer.

Curious... Syncing Issues Between iPhone and iTunes?
Just curious... the past several months I have noted various concerns around "syncing" between iPhone and iTunes... yet don't recall any mention of whether it occurs between MAC OS or WIN hardware (desktops and or laptops). Furthermore, I am interested if anyone can comment whether these sync issues occurs mostly on TIGER or LEOPARD OS when accessing iTUNES. (Guess I should pay more attention to the noted OS field.
I ask because I am considering an upgrade to LEOPARD by end of month and don't want to jeopardize my syncing to my iPhone if it is a LEOPARD related issue. Thank youI'm running Leopard and I've never experienced any sync issues.

Before installing a major OS X upgrade such as Leopard over a previous OS X version, it is a good idea to create or update your existing backup of important data stored on your computer's hard drive - including your iTunes library, photos, contact info, calendar events, documents, etc. I've never experienced any problems installing a major OS X upgrade over a previous OS X version, but I always update my computer's backup immediately beforehand to be on the safe side. -

The easiest thing to do would be to sign into your iTunes account on your computer, connect your phone and sync. iTunes should copy anything from your phone that isn't already in your library on the computer. -

I noticed my options for syncing my music between my iPhone and iTunes is limited to iTunes purchases. I can transfer purchases from my phone to my library, but what do I do about my music from CDs? How do I transfer my songs and playlists from my iPhone to my libary? I used a different computer to get my songs from the CDs to my iPhone, and I am not about to go hunting down those disks deep in the storage closet in my basement when I have them right here on my iPhone. If I have to transfer the songs as files into a folder to then transfer back into Itunes, what audio format do I use? How can I see what format my existing songs are?

i purchased a song on my Ipod Touch 4 GEN. and i listened to it not 5 mins before i synced it with Itunes...then i looked in my Ipod music library and itunes library...GONE. but when i go to download it, like with Apps when if you have purchased an app and it get's deleted...you can have it back for FREE

As it should have been transferred to your computer when you synced, you can contact itunes support and ask for an exception.

If the Migration Assistant won't do it, move them over as you would any other folder; they're located in the Pictures and Music folders of your home folder by default. The iPhoto library needs to be transferred via a drive, partition, or disk image formatted as Mac OS Extended or through an AFP network share.

I have forgotten my appleID password and the email it is linked to is deactivated, security questions aren't working. This is on my iPhone and iTunes acs so I can't sync with my new computer. How do I merge AppleID accounts and shut down the old one (when I have no password and the security questions aren't working?)
You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.
You can contact the Apple ID Security folks per the listing in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 and they can help reset security questions and get the account working. -

Sign her out of the iTunes copy that's on the machine, then you can sign in with your account credentials.

To give other users read-only access to your library, use the Sharing features of iTunes. Sharing works over the local network as well as on the same computer. See the built-in help for details.

I am getting the error "We're sorry we cannot complete your request on the iTunes store at this time. Please try again later." on both my iPhone and iTunes on my computer. What is wrong with iTunes? Is the server down or what? I need to download some things and update some apps...
I've been getting the same message for like an hour now. Since everything was working fine a few hours ago, and nothing changed on my end before it stopped working, I'm guessing it's something on Apple's end. They probably already know about it by now, and are hopefully working on fixing it, so there's probably not much we can do but wait for them to fix it.

I am trying to activate a second iphone, and itunes doesnt recognize that it is plugged in. This is also the case with my other iphone and my itouch. Tried restarting everything and also tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling it, nothing has worked. Is there a way to fix this or another way to activate the phone?
Try activating it on a different computer, and using a different dock connector to USB cable if possible.
If that doesn't work, it may be a hardware problem. Take it to your Apple Store for testing. -
