Iphone 4 App Store and Apps
hi everyone,
I am iphone 4 16bg white color (ios 4.3.5 (8L1)) user. Recently, i experience that my apps updates does not download when I update it. Usually, when I go to app store and see some updates for my apps, i only need to choose "update all" option and input my password. i will be automatically sent out back to the background window and see my iphone downloading the updates for the apps. however, this time when choose to update my apps, i was sent out automatically back to the background window and see that the download bar under the apps not working at all. the bar will not full and just remain empty under the apps icon unless I go back to app store and choose update all once again. This happens quite often to me. Does anybody ever come across this too? Please help me on this. Sorry for my English. Thank you guys.
If the open button actually opens the app, but you do not see that app on any of the home screens, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.
If it does not open the App or if you still cannot find the app, go to Settings > General > Usage. Locate the App on the list and delete the app. Then you can re-download it from the App Store.

Argh! iPhone 2.0 App Store and Apps are $%#'ed
So I was at one point, able to log into the App Store, and "purchase" free apps... now I cannot hit the "OK" button when it prompts me for my password... or cancel for that matter, have to hit the home button, goto iTunes, get the App, then sync it back.
That worked until 2 days ago, now I cannot even run ANY apps! I have unsync'ed them (effectively deleting them), re-sync'ed them (re-installing) and every app will show me the title screen for about .5 seconds, then back to the home screen... Aren't I glad I got the 2.0...
Anybody have any ideas or seen this yet?ok. So after unsynching apps, re-authorizing iTunes, re-synching... The iPhone now can use the apps, but the store on the iPhone still will not let me hit the Ok button... So no updates for me

App store and apps problem when migrated
I am going to ask this here because Apple support has not been able to fix this.
Old computer = iMac core 2 duo 2.4GHz 10.6.7
OK so I just bought a new iMac quad core i7 2.93GHz (2010 model on closeout) and from the start I selected to migrate from a time machine backup. Took a long time but worked (well execpt for this problem).
So one thing I noticed after the backup was that there was no app store program installed. I then noticed the OS that was on the machine was 10.6.4 (pre app store). So I did the upgrade and and it's now at 10.6.8.
Problem is the apps won't load (click and nothing happens, click on ones in dock and it bounces once then nothing). So I load up the app store and log in, seems to take my login OK but won't let me do anything like make a purchase or do an update to an older app. It tells me they were purchased with a different account when I try to update and tells me I don't have a valid account when I try to purchase.
Well it's a good account and I went back to the old computer signed out and back in with the 'exact' same info and it works fine on that computer, even did the update to the program that was older"
Called Apple support, ran me through a dozen things (I could tell he was running out of ideas) and he finally said it must be a problem with your account (I seriously doubt it as I use the same account on the old computer, a laptop and 2 'i' devices with no issue).
I think it has something to do with the fact that the migration happened when the OS was older than the app store.
Not sure what to do but I would like to be able to use the apps I purchased and be able to purchase more in the future.
Any ideas?Well looks like the fix was to download the stand alone 10.6.8 updater and re update the OS.

If you mean that you can't find the App Store app on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ? If it is hidden then unhide it and the app should then appear on your iPad's homescreen, and you can then re-download your apps via the Purchased tab in it.

App Store and apps can't verify account on Mavericks

I can not open any purchased apps or log on to the app store on my macbook only. I am able to log into iTunes just fine. And am able to use my account for the app store on my iPhone. When I try to use the App Store it tells me that my device needs to be verify. But it refuses to accept the password that I enter. I have tried to turn off wi-fi to test that and I have also restarted a couple times. Any help is appreciated.called apple. they helped me solve the problem. We dumped the plist and it was fixed.

Cannot buy from app store and app store images missing
Hi Everyone,
I have a 1st gen iPod touch running iOS 3.1.3 which is the latest version I can install. Everything was fine until yesterday morning when out of the blue, I could no longer download anything from the app store. The buy / download button does not work. Also, many of the app store images are missing.
I have restored the iPod to a clean install but the problem remains.
Any ideas?

RichardIn case you haven't run across it yet, there seem to be a bunch of threads in this forum with lots of people having the same issue. My original iPhone running iOS 3.1.3 is having the same problems you describe. (Plus, my old laptop died, so I can't download apps through a computer until I get a new one.) My personal opinion is that it's a problem on the server side of things. Not sure whether Apple has decided to quit supporting these earlier iOSes or if it's a problem they're trying to fix. Keeping my fingers crossed that Apple is planning to fix it, and it will be done soon.

Having problems with App Store and apps won't show on desktop or don't open
When I go to the App Store I download a application it downloads all the way the download is finish now it says open but when you tap open it don't open anything it don't even show on the home screen
Could it be on a different screen?
Swipe down and type the app name in the search field.
Anyway, try a quick reset:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. -
Does the App Store use push notifications to let you know that one of your apps has an update available? Or do you still have to manually check? I could have swore that my phone showed an update was available that wasn't there last time I opened up the App Store. I could have just missed it though. Anyone know for sure?
Is iTunes endlessly saying "Accessing iTunes Store"? Or is something a bit different going on?

Yes. Delete the Apps that were not Purchased using Your Apple ID.
But a Restore as New is the way to go. -

My app store and itunes apps have disappeared from my iphone.
I suspect Apple is responsible and is trying to force an upgrade. Does anyone know if this is true? because if it is we should object to this.
The upgrade on my ipad was such a horrible experience, I don't want to do it to upgrade my iphone. (Upgrades have been a nightmare every since the itunes interface was changed. In my view, iTunes is the now one of the most unintuitive interface imaginable - [bar windows 8]. Prior to that it was generally easy to do upgrades and backups without hiccups and the interface was great. Now its too obscure to find what you need to do.)
I have been an Apple fan since the original Apple computer - but am not very happy with recent changes that affect use-ability and reliability.
General grumbling aside - every time you upgrade, you have to reload all of your apps; and a lot of favorite apps won't work with the new system. That's another reason I don't want to upgrade.
Without the App and iTunes application - you can't selectively update the apps you want to update or even access your music.
Questions:
1. Does anyone know why the Apps and iTunes apps disappeared? (I'm not the only one complaining about this.)
2. Does anyone know how to get them back without having to effectively erase your phone and start over?
3. Does anyone know how to get iTunes on the computer to recognize your iiphone when the itunes app disappeared off it?

Thank you again for the advice. But, rebooting did not help.
In the end I was forced to upgrade.
I am relieved to say that this upgrade went very smoothly compared to other upgrades.
I did not have to re-download apps and they appear to be in their normal folders - except a new app page 2 (after the primary page) appeared containing only the missing apps. This was not there before.
Answer to the disappearing Apple App Store and iTunes Dilemma:
The answer to this problem unfortunately appears to be to upgrade the system.
In my experience the Apps (which presumably are removed to force the user into an upgrade) then re-appear.
On the positive side, at least on this occasion, it did not turn out to be a nightmare make work project. -
After moving from Canada to the US, getting a new iPhone 5C, and restoring my backup from iCloud, I can't update my apps. I get an error message that my account is not valid in the Canadian App store and I must change to the US store. How do I do that?
Change here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use. -
HELP! while in France i downloaded the new iPhone iOS 6. When asked to choose a location ( for maps to know what to do) i made the wrong choice and clicked on local, hence France. This scewed up my US iTunes account as well as apps store. . . so ican no longer acces it or download updates. . . it crerated more havoc that ican bare as in iTunes being located in France and in Euros. OUCH. i thought to restore iPhone to factory default. Will that do it or create more problem. (don't want to wtach US movies in French!!!)
My question reall is how can i swithed back my location to USA. . .

my iphone 6 plus after updating to IOS 8.2 seems to have a problem with the touch id witch doesn't work neither in home unlock nor in app store and when i'm trying to add a new fingerprint it says ''failed unable to complete touch id setup.Please go back and try again'' . I have multiple fingerprints and none of them appear to work.

If you are having an issue with Touch ID not functioning as expected, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
