IPhone 4 apps not updating that require wifi. They get only so far and then start over again. Now they won't even attempt to update. Given the 'done' or 'retry' option and they're still unusable. I've tried logging out of app store, rebooting, and reset.

Perhaps its the wifi I'm using (cruise ship worker here), and will try again on a land wifi signal before worrying a lot. any help would be great.
In-store helper had me double click home and clear out all opened apps and that worked then , but not now.

Also, just as a note, I restored my iphone last night, and it has made no difference.
One last thing... On itunes, when i click 'info' on apps that are said to be under my friends account (ie they will only update when he is logged in), it says that i purchased them under my account, yet it won't let me update them.

Then use multipel 99 picture slideshows.
You can have up to 8 or 9 slideshows per menu. If you add a sub menu reduce that by 1 and add 8 more to the sub menu. The top menu can have links to up to 8 or so submenus (depends on the theme) and each submenu can have up to 8 or so slideshows.
However, converting a very large slideshow to a QT movie as Terence suggested does not envoke the 99 slide limit in iDVD. It just becomes a single video/movie file. So you should not have a problem with exporting at the large size, 720 x 540,
and dragging the resulting file into the iDVD menu being sure to avoid any drop zones.

My first thought was that maybe when you imported you chose to leave the files in place rather than copy then to the iMovie library..but I can't see where that option is now.
I too have created a short movie from load f clips..but can't export or share either..the 'Share 'menu is empty..you go to it and no sub menu appears.

Updating error 49. recommended solution was to retry...have tried and retried ... now system won't even attempt. any HELP out there ???

TS1389 One of my purchased songs won't play. Every time I try to play the song it says to authorize my computer. I have repeatedly tried logging in to authorize this song and it isn't working. The problem is only happening with one song.

I purchased a bunch of songs last month and one song won't play. Every time I try to play it the window pops up to authorize my computer to play that particular purchase. If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, there is a hardware problem.

Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! Since you have already isolated it down to your home network, if following Steve's instructions do not fix your issue, contact your Internet Service Provider or Router Manufacturer and make sure your network is set up according to this information: iOS and OS X: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

I've been having the same problem for days and just solved it. Tried going to Apple ID and had all the same problems you did in the second paragraph. I signed out with my current username on the ipad under settings--->store and signed back in with my oldest apple id and password. Now the apps don't ask for a password to upgrade. I too had a username that wasn't an email address and had to change to one that was at some point. That's what caused the problems. Hope this can work for you.
