IPhone 4 battery duration (iOS 6.0.1)
In my daily use, the iPhone 4 only lasts for 6 hours and a half of usage time, until it reaches 0%. Should I buy a new battery?
There are loads of posts about this all over forums. It's an ios6 issue. If your battery was fine before ios6 then I doubt you need to replace it.

Iphone 6 battery drain ios 8.1.2
Tormented by Battery Life
IOS 8.1.2 upgrade caused it
iPhone 6 64GB Grey battery constantly drains now, from full charge at 7 am it will die around 2 pm with minimum or no use.
It even drains while on standby, no serious culprits the phone was setup as new and all apps are upto date downloads form app store
The phone and apps worked fine before it,
Post update did the following so far
Soft Reset
Hard Reset with Restore all backup from cloud
Hard Reset with Restore all backup from pc
Restore again from pc with and without the restore backup
currently using a new setup with data synced once with icloud login
I have following tweaks already from various battery performance tweaks
Location Services to minimum (Google maps), no system services enabled
Background app refresh disabled
Reduce Motion is on (parallax effect disabled)
Notifications to minimum
Auto Brightness off and brightness is 25-30% from manual selection
Wifi and Bluetooth is usually off
Carrier Phone signal is usually ok but shows low signal in small percentages across email, phone but not too much its like 5%, 6% variants
iCloud is off
Autoupdate of apps is off
mail is on manual sync every 30 mins (4 accounts)
Can't see any obvious app which will cause this
Generally the drain increases if I use a heavy app like Google Navigation, or Marvel Content of Champions, gets hot too when using a heavy data app and battery can run flat in plain 1 hour of use
The full charge of the phone also takes longer and then discharges (with some emails (not on auto fetch), small use of whats app and 1 phone call) within 4-5 hours with tweaks 1-11 in place
Can anyone help, I have booked an appointment with genius but what if they say its just software even though I tried everything

Last night charging for around 3-4 hours only charged a dead phone by 55% then left it to charge overnight
Today the battery dropped from 6:15 am full charge to 53% at 10:38 am at time of writing this with
1 phone call out for 30 secs
1 incoming missed call,
Whatsapp fetched around 10 msgs
Email fetched around 20 ermail from 4 accounts but not viewed yet on phone -
My iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3 keeps crashing at 45%!when my iPhone nears 45% from a full charge it suddenly says the phone is 20% then 10% then 1% and then it goes dead.when I plug in the charger instead of waitin a few minutes for it to turn on,it instantly turns on and says the battery is 45%!this is OK at home where I can keep the charger plugged in but what about when im on the go?PLEASE HELP!!!
This is most likely faulty battery. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

Battery life issues on iphone 5 with ios 6.1.4
I had upgraded the OS on my iphone 5 to iOS 6.1.4 and now I am facing extraordinary battery drain. I left my phone at 35% battery life while going to sleep and when i wake up, after 8 hours, it has gone down to 8% and less. This was not the case before with the earlier version of iOS or my iphone 3gs. I have tried some tips and suggestions but I dont think those are really helping. Could someone please help me out as to what should be done in this case.
Hope Apple is listening and intend to do something. My phone is brand new and not even a month old.No i do not have LTE network access at home.
My cellular reception is quite good at home as well as work.
Yes i am using an exchange account, gmail.
This is what i have tried..
turning off SIRI, auto adjust brightness, push messages, notifications, blah blah blah...
Seeems like deleting and adding the mail account once again helped, as i am experiencing a better battery life today. I had read about this somewhere but weired that this could be a solution to a battery drain issue.
But still I am planning to take the phone to a store to get its battery checked. -
After upgrade IPHONE 4 to IOS 7 , it work 2days, and now it is off, not recognized on the pc and no battery logo when connecting to the sector
I'm happy to say that I solved the problem, and for the community (for the "next generation" that will search a solution for this problem) - I will publish the solution for this problem : I defined as new iphone, and then the restore showed up!

Over heating and battery drain on iPhone 4 after iOS 7.1 update
I am facing heavy battery drain and overheating after updating my iPhone 4 to IOS 7.1
The battery discharges @ 1% for every minute - when not in use / idle. The handset stays uncomfortably warm. The background app refresh, location services, screen brightness etc have been switched off/kept to the minimum. Though there is significant improvement in responsiveness. There were no battery/overheating issues with iOS 7.0.6.
Have reset all settings, switched on/off, given a hard boot (power button + home button) but no use.
Suggestions to resolve this are welcome.This is not a software issue!!!. Yes, it may cause by the software update.. I had the same issue with my Iphone5 after 7.1.. I went crazy .. seeing my battery draining 1% a minute without using it.. and it took more than 7 hours to charge completely. Worst my IPhone was out of warranty cant take it back to Apple to have it fixed.
Things already did -
I changed the battery
Restored the phone
Switched to setting basically nothing
Waited for 7.1.1 to come out and then update the phone
But none of these helped at all
So i rolled the last dice.. took my phone to a local technician (in Philippines). They said none of the above will resolve the issue.
What exactly went wrong was the - USB POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROLLER IC U2 was busted. Once this was replaced my phone worked just fine. in fact I was amazed with the results.
My phone charged 100% from 20% in less than 60 minutes.
Now my battery lasts for more than 15 hours ( i do not use mobile data only Wi-Fi)
So if your phone is out of warranty no harm in getting this part replaced. If within warranty you may get a replacement handset.
Now to what causes this as per the technician " Every update from apple tries to exclude accessories that are not certified, and you do get the pop up that this accessory may not be supported" continue to use the charger will fry the IC U2 .

I've tried all tuning tricks - nothing changed.This is not a current feature of any iphone, it never has been! I've heard that there are apps in the app store that allow you to transfer contacts but i'm not sure about anything else! Again you would need to look in the appstore, but again it will be very specific to that app if there are any at all!

iOS 7 has many multiple tasks. You can save battery life to some extent by few steps. First go to location services and bettr 'Off' them which are not needed. (Ex. Notes.. Reminders.. Etc). Also you can off few apps in 'get notifications' centre. Also usage of 3g by any mobile consumes much battery life. Better to connect any Wi-fi

I have the same issue w/ my 4s. My battery life was more than acceptable running iOS 6. I updated to iOS 6.0.1 & now my battery life is HORRIBLE!!! I just charged my phone & according to the usage, ie. Time Since Last Full Charge, was fully charged, yet it only said 94%. I shut my phone off after unplugging it & when I turned it back on, the battery read 97%... ?????
There is definitely something that needs to be addressed w/ the 6.0.1 update!! Really wish I hadn't gotten it! -

I bought an iphone 4 with ios 5.11 on ebay, there are few pixels do not working, the speaker is faulty and the power button is not working. Yesterday I updated to iOS 6.0.1, and now the battery is defective.
