IPhone 4 bluetooth and Windows 7

I am trying to connect my iPhone 4 to my windows 7 laptop.  Windows 7 is saying that it cannot find a device driver for the iPhone and the iPhone says that it is not connected to the laptop.
Can anyone help?

this is probably the most common question asked here, which I found the hard way -
answer: you can't do file transfer or syncing on a PC or Mac with bluetooth, even if you install the device driver (available from broadcom.com). only tethering and audio controls via BT

you can tell me how to set iphone 5 bluetooth on windows 7 64 bit in notebook toshiba qosmio f750

Unless you're trying to tether your Internet connection from the phone to the computer, you don't. That is not a feature of the iPhone.

I recently purchased a Phoenix 810 with Integrated Bluetooth 4.0 and Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac featuring Dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) 2 x 2 MIMO technology.  when I purchased the system I used the Bluetooth to connect to external bluetooth speakers with windows 8.1.  I could easily see this menu option in my network option in the control panel.  Recently I tried to use the speakers but could not however they show in my system devices.  I also tried to add new and discovered thar Windows is not longer showing anything with Bluetooth in the control panel.
I have downloaded latest drivers but Windows still does not recognize bluetooth in the control panel anywhere.  Any idea why I could setup and pare bluetooth deviced and now I can't?

    Hi,
I am running Windows 8.1 with Bluetooth and Bluetooth does not show in the Control Panel.  Look for the Bluetooth icon on the task bar.  See the below image.
Once you pair up and acknowledge the passcode on both devices this the following screen should appear (example).

  • PC Suite, Bluetooth and Windows 7 - Cannot autheni...

I had real problems getting PC Suite to connect via bluetooth to my 6300 phone.  I'm using a CSR type dongle which installed via plug and play using the Microsoft drivers.
I installed PC suite and followed the instruction to "connect a phone".   The phone was discovered and pairing attempted using the default 123 passkey.  I entered the passkey into the phone.  PC suite sat there for about 5 minutes, then came back with "Cannot authenicate phone".  This was tiresomely repeatable!
After much messing about I finally got the PC suite to authenticate the phone and its all working finel.  Here is what I did in case this helps anyone with the same problem:
    Install PC Suite.
From the Windows Start Menu In "Devices and Printers" the bluetooth device should be visible - Mine shows "CSR Bluetooth Radio"
Check the Bluetooth settings of the device "Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" should checked
Still in" Devices and Printers", click on "Add Device", if the Bluetooth is working correctly, this should scan bluetooth and discover the phone (make sure the phone is set to visible or discoverable).
(An alternative method is to open Control Panel, under the "Hardware and Sound, there should be "Add Bluetooth device" option under "Devices and Printers". )
Select the phone and follow the instructions and pair the PC with phone.  This will involve entering the passkey generated by Windows
If successful the phone should now appear in the Devices list.  I now see "Nokia 6300" as a device.
The next steps are the ones I was missing: right click on the phone device and select Properties and then the "Services" tab
Windows should access the phone device for the services offered by the bluetooth phone.
    Check mark the following services:
    Dial-up Networking [DUN]
    Serial Port (SPP) 'COM1'
Serial Port (SPP) 'Nokia PC Suite'
    and click ok
Start up PC Suite and go through the "connect phone" procedure again and it should now connect successfully.
    Hope this works for you

    I do not have
    Dial up Networking (DUN)

Instead, I have the following listed in the service tab

  • Iphone 6 bluetooth and my nissan rogue 2014 not working

I've been trying to make calls using my nissan rogue bluetooth and my iphone 6. The device is paired but when I try to make a call it won't work. Do you guys know if this is something apple will fix with the next update? Has this issue been reported?

Hey.  I am having this problem on my 2014 Jeep Willys.  I corrected it last night by resetting all settings(after chatting with an Apple tech online), but this morning it did not work again.  SMH!  I decided to reset network settings only and it worked.  I even turned off my Jeep and then back on.  The phone reconnected and worked.  Mine always connects, but no phone calls are able to be made or received.  So far this worked for me.

  • IPhone Bluetooth and Windows 7 Pairing

I have a 3G iPhone. I could pair it with my Dell Windows XP laptop, using Motorola H350 plugged into one of the USB ports (my laptop did not have Bluetooth capability). I still have that laptop and it still works.
Now I am also trying to pair my iPhone with a Toshiba laptop (Windows 7 64bit). They recognize each other, I am assigned a pairing code (same number shows both on the laptop Bluetooth screen and iPhone). I click the Pair option on the iPhone and the two devices are paired. However, when trying to connect the two devices, iPhone gives "..... "my computer's name" not supported" error message.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, BluePhoneElite is the software I use to control the handsfree service on OSX: http://mirasoftware.com/BPE2/. If you pair with OSX look under Blue Tooth Preferences and you can see Handsfree Gateway listed under services.

  • I cannot pair iPhone 4 bluetooth to Windows 7

I am having windows 7 and i cannot pair the bluetooth. someone help me please....

That's correct. The iPhone does not support the file transfer protocol. The only supported option with a computer is tethering using BlueTooth. The only other supported connections are for hands-free and A2DP devices.

  • Missing TCP/IP settings for iPhone tethering (Bluetooth and USB)

Is it just me or Apple has completely disabled the TCP/IP settings for BT and USB connections for iPhone tethering (and possibly any other mobile devices)?
I can now only set the IP addresses and DNS server. No Proxies or WINS settings tabs.
I have also noticed that if you setup a USB tethering connection in Leopard and upgrade to Snow Leopard, the settings are still available, but NOT if you make a clean install of Snow Leopard and create a new iPhone USB tethering connection.
I always use a SOCKS5 when I'm using my tethering connection for security and better/faster connection with my manual proxy server setup. I find the new "options" in SL very limited, not only for my usage.

I got this to work again (in fact, I'm tethered right now
Here are the steps I followed:
    1) Upgraded to iTunes 9
    2) Upgraded iPhone to OS 3.1
    3) Removed device from Bluetooth Devices list on my MBP
    4) Removed Bluetooth PAN from Network preferences
    5) Restarted iPhone and MBP
    6) Set-up iPhone as a Bluetooth Device on MBP
    7) Enabled tethering on iPhone
    8) Connected to iPhone network via the Bluetooth icon on my MBP menu bar
    9) Verified that the blue "Internet Tethering" bar was on the iPhone
    10) Manually added Bluetooth PAN to my MBP network preferences (connect show as yellow, "IP cannot be assigned" message)
    11) Opened the Advanced pane and clicked the "Renew DHCP Lease" button
    12) IP was assigned!
I'm not sure if the first two steps contributed to the solution or not, but these are the steps that worked for me.
    Good luck to you all...

  • Single app for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and windows

    Hi,
    will there be single
SharePoint  app common to all type of phone (iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, windows)
    or unique for each.
    Thanks in advance

As this is a browser app and accessed using Crome, Firefox, Internet explorer, etc
You need to make sure you have tested your app on all such browser and then it can be same.
Normally the features and functionality on all browser are different so some people  keep different apps.

  • Storm 2 9550 Bluetooth and Windows 7

I am having an issue with my new Storm 2 9550. I can get it to pair with my computer and synchronize wirelessly, but I cannot transfer anything such a pictures to my computer via bluetooth. If I look in devices and printers it shows my blackberry, but it has a large yellow exclamation point on it. When I tell it to troubleshoot, it tells me there is no driver installed for "bluetooth peripheral device." There are three instances of this in the device manager. Where can I find drivers for this? I installed the desktop manager and that did not solve the problem. I let it search for drivers and it comes up empty. Can anybody help me with this?

Many (including me) were stumped by the appearance of two bluetooth devices missing drivers in Windows 7 64-bit build 7100 following the installation of Blackberry Desktop Manager Software version 4.6 or higher.
These exclamation ! marked bluetooth peripheral devices are merely two more ports that Windows 7 can't find the drivers for (there should be FOUR total after you follow my suggestions).
Lucky for YOU, these port drivers are already present on your system (assuming you installed RIM Blackberry Desktop Manager software 4.6 or higher).
The 'trick' is to manually load the extra two PORTS by choosing from a list of drivers.
Find the 2 problem drivers-missing entries in your Bluetooth devices list, right click on the first one, choose UPDATE DRIVER SOFTWARE. Then choose Browse My Computer, then Let Me Pick From a List of Device Drivers. Scroll down till you see PORTS, then choose Rim Virtual Serial Port v2 and click Apply.
You'll get a warning message from windows 7, ignore this choose OK or apply and load the driver. It will report the device is set up correctly.
REPEAT this process 1 more time for the 2nd problem child bluetooth device that is missing the driver.
Then pair up your Blackberry with your laptop. Don't forget to REMOVE your laptop or PC from the blackberry list of paired bluetooth devices and then pair it all over again now that you've fixed the drivers on the pc/laptop side of things in Windows 7 by adding those two ports that were missing (assuming you're upgrading to Windows 7 and having problems where you can't sync with Outlook and your Blackberry using BLUETOOTH.
Once you've paired your Blackberry successfully, you'll need to configure Bluetooth in your connections options in Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.6 or higher.
You can then forget about plugging in the USB micro-cable and happily SYNC it with your bluetooth

  • IPhone 4 bluetooth and headphones won't work.

When I connect to bluetooth or headphone jack. The music/sound plays through my iPhone speakers. I've tried with Bluetooth headsets and speakers. Also with an aux cord and headphones. It just started recently with the latest iOS 7.1.2 update. I will be downgrading my software to see if that works. Couldn't figure out what what going wrong.

Figured out that, with the update, the new pull up menu has a place to change where the sound plays through. It loaded it as default to the phone. All I had to do was change it. Whoops.

  • Syncing iphone to OSX and windows

    Hello everyone,
I'm typing this for a friend. He's running windows XP and has downloaded the newest version of iTunes. For some odd reason, he cannot download the iphone update (it's stop about halfway through). The question I would like to ask..is...
Would he be able to sync his phone to my computer?
ps. my computer is already authorized to my iphone.

what your experiencing, with the merge info, sounds correct.
The iphone can sync calendars and contacts from multiple computers, but when itunes syncs the iphone, it performs a 2 way sync.
So any contacts or calendars on the iphone get moved to the computer, and any contacts or calendars on the computer are moved to the iphone.
So, in essence, if you continue syncing between 2 computers, you end up with exact copies on both computers.
if you would like to leave feedback about the iphone, this link might help.

    Hope this helps.

  • Contact groups don't appear on iPhone, just iMac and Windows machines - is this expected?

Does IOS 5.0.1 not support groups in Contacts?  I went through all 250+ contacts in my icloud.com account and organized them into groups (work, family, past-work, ...) that type of thing.  On the iPhone only, the Contacts application only shows "All Contacts" - the groups have all disappeared.  Is this expected / normal?  The groups are all properly maintained on the iMac (Lion) and my Windows 7 PC, so my guess was something didn't sync right with the iPhone.  I tried this on my wife's iPhone as well, same result (no groups show up).
