  • IPhone 5 Boot Loop

I got my iPhone 5 on launch day.  This issue just started arising this past Thursday (9/27/12). I was at work and went to go check my phone, and it was stuck at a boot loop.  This went on for about 15 minutes and then the phone went back to normal.  It happened about twice afterwards but just a random reboot. Yesterday (9/28/12), I had the same problem again, only it went into about a 3 boot loop during work.  About 3 hours later it went to infinite boot loop from about 7:45pm to 11:30pm.  I held the home and power buttons for around 30 seconds, and everything was okay. Now I'm stuck in another boot loop for the last 90 minutes and I've tried my previous method, I've tried rebooting from DFU mode, and I've tried letting it sit there.  It has been stuck at a steady Apple logo (no reboots) but it's getting me nowhere.  If there is anything other than a restore that I can do, any advice would be appreciated because my phone hasn't been backed up since I got it.

    I got the same problem..
for me it helps to press the power button to turn off the iphone, then wait a few minutes and start the iphone again..

  • Iphone 4 - Boot loop cannot restore

I plugged my Iphone 4 GSM into imac to charge over night (I always use wall socket but was leaving computer on to download something) when I woke up the phone was boot looping to apple logo. Tried restore and am being given errors -1 (mainly), 2001, 2006, 2009. Was suggested to try to see if I can get my shsh blobs off to down grade from ios5.1.1 and it cannot communicate with phone. I can put it into recovery mode or dfu mode once plugged into computer but as soon as phone reboots doing the restore or whatever its doing it just starts boot looping again. I should mention when its not plugged into computer it does nothing, completely dead. Phone is out of warranty by 3 months. Any help would be appreciated!

  • Iphone 4 & 3gs on ios5.01 in a boot loop

Having both an iphone 4 and 3GS (neither are jail broken) in the same fault being stuck in a boot loop following nothing in common with either phone in relation to an application causing the issue.
I commenced in removing some application to see if that would make a difference, as the loop cycle was too fast t back the device up but that made no difference.
I then removed some pictures from both devices and well what do you know they have stopped looping and are back up and running correctly.

    Hi,
The state of the computer/s memory is irrelevant to this issue even though there is no shortage on either memory or disk capacity.
How-ever the issue was resolved by removing a number of images/photos and videos from the iphone 4 & 3GS.
I do hope that this resolution can help others, and that the possible limitation issue of the devices for the storage of images and videos can be looked into as it clearly did cause an issue for the users, and I am a strong believer in finding the cause rather than re-building devices; as that does not give an answer in removing the issue in the future.
    I hope this heps.

  • Iphone 3gs ios 6.1 stuck in boot loop even after restore

What happen was it froze so I did a hard rest after that it stayed on a boot loop. Done restored it several times stayed the same after I do a restore itunes does recognize the iphone but it stays on the Apple logo can anyone help

Something does not sound right with your story. An iPhone 3g is only capable of running iOS4.2.1 and not 6.1.6. Since the iPhone now appears to have relocked itself to the original carrier, it sounds like that iPhone is jailbroken to allow it to run a version of iOS that it not supposed to and to unlock illegal from the original carrier. Either get you details straight or we can't help you.

  • My iPhone 5s suddenly has boot loop and shows blue screen.

My iPhone 5s suddenly has boot loop and shows blue screen. I tried to restore it with iTunes but it says that I have to enter my password on my phone first, which I can't technically do. What to do?
Also, I've read that I could get a replacement phone from apple but it was bought for me in CA, and I'm in the Philippines. Can I get a replacement still?

  • Iphone 5 in boot loop and isn't being recognized by my computer.

Hey, I'm having a serious problem with my Iphone 5 right now. A few days ago my Iphone began having problems. I clicked on an app then i received multi colored vertical lines across my screen then i experienced the boot loop. Every time i turn on my Iphone it is stuck in the boot loop with the apple logo fading out every 3-5 seconds then it will flash with a white horizontal line across the top quickly and the boot loop will restart itself. I tried connecting my Iphone to my computer but it isn't being recognized. Also i tried various other computers but yet none of them recognized the phone. Also, previously i had some minor problems with the battery it would sometimes die with about 15-20 percent battery still left maybe this may contribute to this continuous boot loop i am not sure. Can anyone please help me i just got this phone not too long ago. Thank you in advanced

also i have tried a hard restore but i still experience the flashing apple logo after i attempt it

  • Imac is stuck in a boot loop and wont go into safe mode and has a yellow tint.

I wanted to play Sim 3 on my mac and 2 times it wouldnt load and the 3rd time it crashed and thats when the boot loop started. The startup screen has like a yellow tint to it and when I try to use safe mode the bar doesnt fill and it just restarts again. My mac is connected to another screen but I don't think that affects it. This is what my screen looks like.

Depending on the age and use of the phone, this could be a defective battery. You should get ti checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place.

  • My iPad is in a boot loop. Can't use itunes.

Today my iPad went into a boot loop. I don't know the cause as I wasn't in at the time but it's possible one of the kids tried to update or something, however I just don't know.
The screen blinks from the apple logo to the lockscreen and is totally unresponsive. The only time it is in any way responsive is immediately after a reset after which I can swipe to unlock, enter my pin, and see the home screen for about 1 second, then the boot loop begins and it is unresponsive.
I can't use itunes to restore. When I connect to iTunes it asks if I want to use the computer to manage the iPad (it's never asked me this before). After I click continue I get a message telling me to respond on the iPad. I can't because it's in a boot loop and unresponsive. Even if I try connecting to itunes after a reset I can only get as far as the homescreen, where I can see the option to "trust" my computer but cannot actually press it. Then the boot loop begins.
I've tried connecting to itunes while pressing the home button but that doesn't work either.
What other options do I have?

    Hi J_Constantine,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your iPad is restarting and not responding sporadically. You have already attempted some great troubleshooting steps and I think you are on the right track. Holding the home button is one step that you take while placing your device in recovery mode to restore. This is the method that I would suggest to restore. For complete information on how to place your device into recovery mode, please reference the attached article.

  • Boot loop and power button broken

    Hi,
I have a new problem with my iPhone 4 8go
Tonight the battery died so when I woke up I plugged it in like I normally do, but after the usual white apple when the phone turns on, I see my lock screen for 2 seconds before the phone shuts down automatically.
If I keep it plugged it stays in a boot loop and just stay off if I unplug it.
I've done my research about that issue, which seems common, and it looks like going in DFSU mode and restore from backup might work.
Problem is, my power button is broken and doesn't work anymore, so I can't do the manipulation with home and power button.
I have downloaded redsnow to try to go in DFSU mode without button but due to the boot loop, the phone is not detected in iTunes...
Is there any way to force the phone in DFSU mode or anything else I can do?
