Iphone 4 Bricked (DFU doesn't work)
Okay so I decided to update my Iphone 4 and for some reason it failed and I got an error. Now my Iphone doesn't go on at all unless plugged into a PC. So I've done a number of things to try and fix the issues of my Iphone with extensive research, i've tried the TinyUmbrella thing and it comes up with an unidentified phone. When I try to restore the phone from Itunes I dont see any information besides "Iphone" everything else like Serial, Capacity and Serial number say "N/A". When I restore the phone, Itunes download OS 5 and it failed the first time, SO i downloaded version 4.5 which also failed. I played around with it for a while and got a bit further. Now when I try to restore the phone itunes actually gets pass the verifying process and into the restoring process, while in DFU mode (BLACK SCREEN) and then the moment it changes to "restoring Iphone" the phone restarts and goes into a boot loop. the phone by itself goes into a boot loop the moment I plug it in. So far I cant find a way to get around this. I've tried 4 different OS's with 2 different PC's both 32 and 64 bits non work.
Any suggestions to how I can sort this out?
Take it to an Apple Store and have them try to upgrade it.

As you know, your iPhone 5 is not compatible with our iBook G4. To get your music in iTunes from your iBook to your iPhone you would need to migrate the music files to a newer intel based Mac. A Mac which has Mac OS X 10.6 or higher installed. Then sync your iPhone 5. -

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps, like resetting you iPhone, for example? Or restoring it?
If not by all means do so because your problem could be caused by software glitches that could be solved resetting or restoring.
Warranty is for one year from date of purchase and two years if you bought Apple Care at the time of purchase. If your iPhone has a hardware issue within warranty, it would be replaced by Apple. If it is already out of warranty, you might be eligible for an out of warranty replacement where you pay a much lower amount but this varies according to the country and currency, so it is better to check with Apple or with an authorized reseller.

I already restored and turned off and turned on and checked rotation option in portrate oriention by double clicking but it didn't work .
Please Help me .oops my bad, you did say exactly that you had tried that. Sorry. Also you already Restored too. Only thing I could add, is to Restore as New iPhone, at end of Restore when prompted Set Up as New iPhone. And then see if better. Anyway, iPhone 4S has full Warranty, make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

I have just created this account to tell you that nothing would change if you restored your phone.
The first NO SIM nuisance happened just a week ago. Nothing had been done to the phone before that. I pressed HOME + POWER buttons to restart the phone and SIM card was successfully recognized as if nothing had happened. Then I had a lucky week, not reminded of this issue at all.
Today, however, the same problem keeps annoying me. I've used the same method to heal the phone but all I have done seems more like a placebo. So I tried the ultimate solution, restroing it in iTunes.
Ridicuously, the moment I finished basic setup on the newly restored phone, the same NO SIM CARD INSTALLED message poped up.
So IMO, it's not what you should do to erase and restore your phone.
Plus, I called my native carrier and they said no such problems have been submitted. And since my nano SIM card is quite new (three months old), I'm not going to replace it.
I googled this problem and found something on a Hong Kong webpage. The author of that thread points out that there is a flaw in the SIM card tray that prevents the phone from successfully recognizing SIM cards.
And I really hope Apple could probe into this issue and give official solutions other than restarting / restoring the phone like an idiot. -

IPhone/iTunes Wifi sync doesn't work

I don't even have hope to solve this problem anymore but I guess I should post this anyway and show apple the crap software they're giving us.
I'm on Lion 10.7.4 (iTunes 10.6.1) and, after upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1, my Wifi sync with iTunes stopped working. Out of nowhere. Looking for an answer I started digging on apple foruns and found out there are dozens of threads discussing the problem and literally hundreds of possible solutions. I've tried the following:
- Restart iTunes and iPhone (full power cycle).
- Check the "Sync over Wifi" option on iTunes when iPhone is connected using cable
- Uncheck the "Block iPhone, iPod and iPad from automatically sync" on iTunes > preferences > devices.
- Restart Router
- Reinstalling iTunes
- Restore iPhone
- Move to trash "com.apple.iTunes" and "MobileDevices.framework" files. Restart Mac after.
- Make Airport on Mac and iPhone forget the saved networks and reconfig them
- Open ports on router 123 (all), 3689 (TCP) and 5353 (UDP)
- Disable and enable uPnP on router
- Install Remote app
- Use "Release Liase" option on iPhone under Settings > General > Network > Wifi > Blue Arrow
NONE solved it. I gave up. Apple *****.
Interesting behaviours:
- Remote app doesn't work at all. I can't use it under Home Sharing or that code thing. My phone and Mac simple can't see each other anymore.
- iPhone conects fine using cable. Everything is working and, when I pull out the cable, iPhone vanish from the list. Even with the Wifi option enabled.
So, if any of you can solve it, you will have a place in heaven. And in Apple developing team, probably.

As I suspected, none of the previous solutions worked. I strongly believe this is some crap in iOS 5.1.1 OR iTunes 10.6.1. More precisely: this is APPLE fault, not something we did wrong or didn't do.
My Wifi sync worked great before this updates (Lion 10.7.2 and iOS 5.0). I can't isolate the problem because I did both updates in less than 24h from one another. Now I'm back to cable and I think I'll still be until Mountain Lion is out.
@rodrigonewtonI sent apple my feedback. Basically everything I wrote here. And I can't connect bluetooth either. Luckily I barely use bluetooth on my Mac.

@joejohns90 Doesn't work here, the option is ALWAYS greyed, waiting for my Mac to do something. The only way the "sync over Wifi" button work is pluging the cable. Ironic, isn't it?
