IPhone 4 Bumper issue in Turkey

iPhone 4 had been puted on the market officially on the 24th of september. But none of the customers was able to get a "Bumper" neither free nor by paying. There is not even a single "bumper" on the market including the Apple Premium Resellers. Also we cannot buy "Apple Case Program" from iTunes. We could not even see that application. So how and when would we be able to achieve a "bumper" either it's free or not?

The temporary promotion from Apple for the free iPhone 4 bumper case program was only open to select countries. This was to appease early buyers due to reports of reception issues. There isn't any need for a case other than to protect your iPhone from damage. The so called "antenna issue" is a non-issue that has been blown way out of proportion due to users who either received a defective iPhone that should be swapped or don't understand how cellphones work on cellular networks. I have no issue with my iPhone 4 and my friends, family and colleagues have also confirmed they have no issues. Like any cellphone if you were to hold it outside and the signal bars dropped from 5 to none then your phone is defective and should be repaired or swapped. If you experience issues indoors with reception that isn't an issue with the iPhone and is an issue with the signal gain you're getting from your local carrier tower. I have used the iPhone 4 both with and with out a case and it performs the same. Outdoors I get 4-5 bars holding the iPhone and indoors 3 to 4 bars depending on where I am and how much physical obstruction is between me and the local tower. Anyone that lives in an already poor reception area should get a GSM signal booster for indoor use to improve their reception and not blame Apple for their reception which is due to living/working in heavily concrete buildings or using the iPhone in fringe areas of their carrier network.

I have noticed damage caused by the bumper.
It is NOT foreign object but caused by the hard plastic on the inside of the bumper
(plese do not come out with rubbish like steel is harder than plastic) I am not stupid and I know that the damage matches the pattern of the bumper skeleton.
What I want to know is when are Apple going to deal with this and replace my phone?
I dare not go to the so called Genius bar in Milton Keynes as they have adopted a Dixons style "fob off" attitude and I will become rather angry with them.

Finally I am a consumer who has paid for a product that is not living up to expectations. The plastic skelton is hard and abrasive (I know what that means as I went to School) Abrasion's are marking the product.
This is not the only time this has been reported and as such I have no issue with particles entering the bumber. This has happened from the start (when I used Apples stupid bumber case)
Please don't patronise or TROLL others threads.

Damaged iPhone 4 Bumper

Hi,
I bought my green iPhone 4 Bumper around end of December/beginning of January and the rubber is starting to peel off.
Is there a way to fix this or get it exchanged?

I've a similar issue. I bought my bumper in June online from Apple. The rubber has seperated at the base as well as badly cracked there too. I'm based in the Republic of Ireland and we don't have an Apple Store here. What's my recourse in that situation. Can I make a complaint online and hope Apple send me a new bumper or send my current one back and request a replacement???
Anyone have a link to where I can start this process???

IPhone 5 Calendar Issue: January 1, 1995

I flew from the Eastern Time Zone into Central Time Zone, which is my home time zone, this afternoon, and tonight my iPhone 5 is telling me the date is January 1, 1995. Can anyone help explain why this is happening, and/or how to fix it? It sometimes switches back to the correct date, but only for a minute or less. I have restarted my phone twice and it has not worked, even when I kept my phone off for over an hour. When the date is January 1st, 1995, I cannot send texts, or go onto the internet, or use any apps using data. PLEASE HELP!!

IPhone 4 bumper doesn't fit 4S

So I don't see many articles or blurbs about the bumper cases not fitting, but they don't. The volume slider is about half way down into the case on mine. Are they going to fix this?

Are we talking about the official Apple bumpers?
The packaging is different if you are comparing:
The iPhone 4 Bumper text on the inside of the packaging is moved down on the older model.
You can also check the UPC on the back of the box: Older bumpers have IPHONE 4 BUMPER in all caps on the UPC, the newer ones do not.

For other cases, you want the ones that say either Universal or fit CDMA iPhone 4 for all models of the 4S. Case makers should state if their case is only compatible with the AT& i4.

Changed Apple ID password and now Iphone 6 having issues

I had to reset my password when signing into my apple ID and now my Iphone is having issues. I can not use imessage. Under settings, It will not allow me to turn it on. Also under settings my facetime and iCloud are greyed out. I can using os8.1.2 What am I missing?

I had the exact same problem and this solution from another thread worked for me:
"I was able to fix it by entering another email address even though it was wrong/invalid. Once I got the "incorrect email/password" message I then re-entered my actual apple ID and it finally took it. Make sure FaceTime is enabled and working first."
In the FaceTime App, I entered a fictitious Apple ID and password. Then it actually signed me out. After that, I entered my AppleID and my new password and it did verify my email address.

IPhone 4 + Bumper - A stand?

Hi,
I'm getting my iPhone 4 from Apple on tuesday, and will get the black bumper from the case program. I want to know though, are there any docks/cases out there that will house an iPhone with a bumper attached. Will the Just Mobile Xtand Pro do it for example? (I like that stand, and it would go well with my cinema display and Rain Design mStand.

That is actually the correct model # of the revised bumper. For the record, I got my information backwards. I apologize for the confusion. OLD model # should read all caps IPHONE 4 BUMPER. NEW model should read iPhone 4 Bumpers /color. I found the packaging for my bumper, so that's how I can verify.
I would go back to Apple and swap it out. Very strange.
The CDMA (Verizon) iPhone has physical changes to the device, so new cases needed to be made to accomodate the change in the mute switch location. The iPhone 4S uses the same antenna design as the revised (CDMA) iPhone 4.

IPhone 4 Bumper necessary?

Hi guys, just curious whether I should get an iPhone 4 bumper? Found some sources online which proves how tough the iphone 4 is... Just wondering if I still need an additional bumper for protection

When I had the original iPhone I got a leather sleeve for it as I keep it in my pocket with keys and loose change.
I got a plastic shell case and a screen protector when I got the iPhone 4 as I didn't like having to pull the sleeve off to use the iPhone. I didn't like it. It was ugly and it added bulk. I ditched that for a belt clip leather case, to keep it away from the metal objects in my pocket.
It was a cheap case from a street vendor and broke afyer a while. I decided to chance it and go caseless.
My iPhone lives in my pocket with keys and change. It's been a couple of months and not a mark on it.
Now it is true that it has no protection if I drop it. But I never dropped the original iPhone and it was a more slippery shape. I just cant see putting a case on a sleek piece of technology– it would be like putting plastic slip covers on a couch.
I have not noticed reception problems without a case, as some have reported.

IPhone 4 bumper delivery

I ordered my free iPhone 4 bumper on thursday (August 12). As of today it it prepared for shipment. I live in New York and how long will it take for it to deliver? By the way it's being delivered by U.S. Postal.

That often happens with cameras when you take pictures of a computer screen. LCD screens "flicker" and the camera will often catch the flicker.

When you synch your Windows XP Pro PC with your iPhone (3G) device & instruct the software to synchronize your iPhone Safari "Bookmarks" with your PC's Internet Explorer "Favorites," should there not be a bi-directional transfer of the information?
(from iPhone to PC and also from PC to iPhone?)
I synched my phone yesterday & it appears that there was a successful transfer of Internet Explorer "Favorites" into the iPhone. However, neither were my iPhone Safari "Bookmarks" retained on the iPhone nor were they transferred over to the PC (& into Internet Explorer).
Do I need to also install Safari on the PC to get a successful bi-directional transfer? OR am I simply not looking in the correct place on the computer to retrieve all the Bookmarks that were apparently removed from the iPhone?
Furthermore, I've been experiencing difficulty with getting PodCasts that are already sitting in my iTunes account to transfer over to the iPhone 3G.
When I launch the synch operation, commonly the iTunes progress meter will seemingly go to completion. However, the iPhone will ultimately disappear from the left-side iTunes windowpane & the actual iPhone screen will continue to state: "Sync in Progress." The iPhone will remain in this state for HOURS & HOURS, until I ultimately slide the button to cancel the operation. I have literally left the iPhone connected to the synch computer while the iPhone's "Sync in Progress" status message remained the same for *17+ HOURS. This can not be normal*.
Any insight would be helpful.

Note: I resolved the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling itunes with this procedure;-)

For the same reason my car hasn't got in-dash satnav, leather upholstery or a six litre engine. Because that's how the manufacturer chose to make it. If you are unhappy with the specs, don't buy one.
