Iphone 4 calendar problem

hi! its my first day using my iphone4, and i have a little problem, please help me. i ve written some events in my calendar, and they have been deleted, just after i stepped to another month.so for example i wrote an event to dec 24th, and it stayed there, no matter what. but i ve also written another event to nov 18th, stepped back to october and after that back again to november, and my previous event from nov 18th was dissapeared. can anybody help me??? thx a lot

Thanks! I found that the option for time zone support was ON on the phone and for some reason it thought I was in London. I turned OFF time zone support and re-synced the calendar with the iTunes setting set for overwriting the phone calendar. All is good now!

I know I must have done something wrong - I finally synced my iPhone to my iCal on my MacBook and now I can't go back into my iPhone calendar and delete or edit any existing appointments on my iPhone. What gives? Is there a quick fix to this? I am new to this whole experience so be easy on me...

After reading a few others post on the same subject, what worked for them was rebooting your PC or Mac, doing a RESET on your iPhone and try again. You may wish to add a new note to both the computer and iPhone before syncing and see if that helps.

IPhone Calendar Problem and Phone Number Problem

I bought the iPod 16 GB on Friday. I immediately upgraded the O/S.
I tried synching with my Outlook 2003. Here are the issues:
1. Not all phone numbers came over - I have friends with a Work Phone, Work Fax, Work Mobile, Personal Mobile, Home. It didn't bring over their Personal Mobile.
2. Phone Numbers that were formated like this (416) 555-1212 - ext. 8040 got changed on the iPhone like this 4165551212ext8040
3. Calendar entries were off despite I had the correct date/time. For example I had an appointment from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm (EST) and it changed it to 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Any ideas?

#2, check Settings > General > International > Region Format and make sure it's set the the US (I'm making that assumption based on your preferred phone number format).
#3, check Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Time Zone Support and make sure that's set correctly.
Not sure on #1.

IPhone Calendars Office 365

Hi there,
Does anyone know about iPhone calendars and linking them with Office 365 ProPlus?
My Managing Director's Wife had been told to delete her MS Office programme and replaced it with this 365 programme from her new employer.
The problem is that she can’t now sync her calendars. She’s got 4 different calendars to use – 3 work and her personal one and now her iPhone only shows one of the work ones, she’s lost all her personal diary even though it’s still on her computer (or it shows in Office 365 at least so not sure if it’s actually on her laptop).
They’ve tried everything they can think of but nothing seems to work and the guy at her Office doesn't seem to know what he is doing, not to say I know anything about Office 365.
He seems to think that they need to set up the settings on her iPhone so that the phone links to the Exchange server whereas the guy at her office is trying to suggest that she can sync everything by plugging in her iPhone.
Do you know exactly what info she needs from her employer in order to set up her iPhone? Once she’s got it would you know what to do?
Your help would be much appreciated.

I'm having problems with syncing my iphone calendar to my ipad, but not the other way around

My iPhone 5 will not sync with my iPad calendar. If I make any changes or add an appointment on my iPhone it will not sync to either iCloud or my iPad, however if I add or change an appointment on my iPad or iCloud it will update my iPhone calendar. I've read where other's are having the same problems but haven't read anyone's post of where a solution has helped. Anyone??

There is no 8/9 pin to 30-pin to adopters that support audio. There are such adopters but they only support charging and syncing, not audio

We run Windows 7 here at work and when she goes to sync her iphone calendar to her laptop calendar some of the information is not transferring over. Yesterday we synced and everything was correct on both calendars but when we went back in today there were missing appts on the laptop calendar that were synced yesterday.

Problem - I input a new event into my iPhone calendar and it does not update on my iMac or iPad. I have loaded the latest software on all devices and have switched over to iCloud. Suggestions?

On the iMac open System Prerferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Calendars then reselect then restart the iMac.
On the iPad, tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Calendars off then back on then reset the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Hopefully the event synced over all the devices.

Iphone and Ical on mac do not sync anymore. All my events are in the iphone calendar! How do I backup iphone calendar, and how do I fix the syncronizing problem?

After getting iCloud the iCal on my mac does not sync with my iPhone calendar. All of my calendar notes are in my iPhone (while the mac's Ical remains empty) so I need to backup the iphone version. How?
Itunes says that "your calendars are being syncronized with iphone using icloud" - but the mac's ical does not show any of the new events I have added on my iphone.
I would like to install the new update on my iphone, but I am afraid to do it without knowing that I will be able to restore my iphone calendar. I have made calendar events for many years to come, I and will not risk losing them!
I have been looking for tips online, but the solutions usually suggest that I backup the ical on the mac and start fresh using this version. In other words overwrite iphone calendar with the ical from the mac. Which is not an option. What can I do?

Moments in Photos are the new Events, i.e. groupings of photos sorted by date taken.
When the iPhoto Library was first migrated to Photos there was a folder created in the sidebar titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events (which are now Moments) are represented by an album in that folder. To open the sidebar if it's not already open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
There's a way to simulate events in Photos.
When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N. Name it as desired. It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window.
The downside to the simulation is that the Albums/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title. But they can also be sorted manually, either in the sidebar or in the folder's window at the right.

Problems with iPhone calendar sync and Gmail calendar.

Ive been trying to sync my iPhone calendar with the Gmail calendar on my iPhone but i cannot get this to work. neither way. ive been searching the web for hours now, been to many google websites which are suppose to help with this but it wont work.

Edit: the iPhone calendar works perfect with my MobileMe account, but I want it on Gmail as well ( if not both is possible I would prefer Gmail )

I tryed to add my gmail account to the microsoft exchange as it says in on of the links above, but the only thing that happend was that i got all of the email contact on gmail addon on my iPhone, which was really annoying since i cant call an email adress.
Anothing thing I would like to add is that i also would like to sync my contacts to Gmail.
I am fully aware that I have MobileMe, but I would like to have it synced to Gmail because thats what I use each day and I have 2-step-authentication.

Two problems: iPhone Calendar is not sync w/ MacBookPro. Not receiving iCloud mail on Mac but am receiving it on iPhone.

Thanks. There is another thread that shares a solution that involves deleting ical Library cache files and Preference files. I"ll see if that works. ICloud shouldn't be a factor in my case since I don't use it and it's "off" in Preferences. I am encouraged that I don't need to use it to fix this issue based on other's experiences, but we'll see!

Calendar problem on iPhone

I have an iMac and MacBook. The calendars work great on both. My iPhone calendar shows a subscribed calendar as a MobileMe calendar. I have this subscribed calendar on the iMac and MacBook and the info is correct - I've checked, it's my daughters calendar.
If I add her calendar as a subscription on my iPhone, it shows both as a subscription and as a MobileMe calendar. Plus, the information on my iPhone is not always correct. One item she added as a recurring event on Saturdays and then changed each individual event time and place. This changed information shows on the iMac and MacBook but not on my iPhone.
Almost seems like a bug to me but I will appreciate any and all suggestions.

Based on your response it sounds like this particular featureset is a bit more capable and complex than I'd originally hoped.
I didn't recall choosing any city while in Spain, as the time on the phone updated on its own, and I hadn't started sync'ing the calendar with Outlook yet at that point.
When I returned home, I did my first calendar sync, and again hadn't chosen any city upon return, then after choosing a local city, the time corrected.
Everything is working fine now (as it wasn't posted as a question) but this is a discussion I hadn't found on here and thought it was a worthwhile discussion to have since I surely can't be the only person whose run into the misunderstanding in functionality.

How can i get my ipad and iphone calendars to sync?

my ipad and iphone calendars used to sync fine but recently they stopped syncing. i haven't changed a thing so i don't even know how to begin fixing the problem.
everything gets backed up into icloud and connecting the ipad and iphone to my laptop for sycing hasn't resolved the issue.
my default email is a gmail account (calendar), which has been from the beginning; however, i have an icloud account on both devices, and i use the same apple id on all devices and itunes. in the past anything i would input into my gmail calendar on any computer would sync with my ipad and iphone, but no longer!! what happened????? right now all calendars are independent of one another; anything i input into my gmail calendar doesn't show on my ipad or iphone calendar or vice versa.
i have checked my ipad and iphone section by section to ensure everything is the same, and it is.
i am sooo frustrated right now somebody please help me to resolve this problem.

The first step in troubleshooting this is to determine which of your devices are not syncing with iCloud. To do this, add a new event on your iPad calendar and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com. Do the same thing on your iPhone and in Outlook. When you do this, which device is not syncing new events to the calendar on icloud.com?

How can I get the iPhone Calendar to update reminders from Outlook?

I have an iPhone 2g v2.0.2 with an Exchange account through work. Everything works flawlessly except one annoying problem: The iPhone calendar does not seem to recognize that I have dismissed or changed a reminder time in Outlook.
Example: A reminder alert appears on my computer (Windows XP/Outlook 2007/Kerio mail server). I will "Dismiss" the alert only to have it pop up again 10 seconds later presumably because my iPhone didn't get the dismissed reminder message, then syncs back to Outlook that the reminder is still active. I have even opened the item in Outlook, changed or canceled the reminder, saved the item, only to have it pop up again seconds later after the iphone reverts to the original reminder.
The only way I have found to stop this cycle is to open the item on the iPhone calendar and cancel the reminder.
Any ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated.

Just so that you know you're not alone, I have a couple clients experiencing the same problem. Have yet to come up with a solution outside of what you've mentioned. Wish I had more to add to the topic.

IPhone Calendar List View Extends Back Only One Year

My iPhone calendar List view extends back approximately one year despite the fact that I have calendar entries extending back to 1999 and that older data is visible under the Day and Month views. This is a problem because the only search mechanism in iPhone calendar is through the List view. Therefore, any search I conduct extends back only to the data in the List view ... which means back only one year.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how I could change this such that the List view extends to include ALL of my calendar entries and is in conformity with the Day and Month views? (I wanted to ask if anyone knows how to "correct" this, but perhaps Apple has designed it this way to speed-up the searching in List view ... I'm not certain.)
I am currently running the most recent iOS update, am syncing my iPhone calendar via MobileMe, have upgraded to the new version of the MobileMe calendar, and have ALREADY reset my sync. history, deleted my iPhone calendar and re-synced it, etc. These don't resolve the problem.

I've noticed that the date to which the List View will "look back" will change depending on software updates or syncs.
For instance, a few weeks ago my List View went back to December 2009 ... now it goes back to Jan. 2010 (i.e. I lost a month of "look back"). I do not specifically recall what triggered this change, but I reset my sync. log during this period.
If you make no changes to the sync. log or update the software, the List View start date will stay constant I believe. For instance, if the List View goes back to Jan. 1, 2010 right now it should stay that way until you reset the sync. log or update the iPhone software. Theoretically then the List View can "look back" much longer than 12 months assuming you make no changes to the sync. log or update the software. Of course, this doesn't address our issue here, but I thought I would point out that there seems to be a consistent pattern here and not some random bug screwing things up.
I'm still thinking that this is the way Apple intended it to work. In other words, that Apple felt it necessary to limit the calendar search feature to approximately 12 months worth of calendars. I hope I'm wrong.

IPhone Calendar does not show all outlook events

I have an iPhone 4. On my iPhone calendar, random events will be missing. My Outlook, ipad, and even iPod will all show the events. I have deleted and recreated the exchange mail & calendar. There is even other iphones on my same server who do NOT have this issue. I can organize an event and it will show on their iPhone, however it will randomly choose not to show on mine. Out of 100 events a month, about 2-3 do not show. Please help!!

This is exactly what's happening to me. I've been able to recreate this on a Touch also with OS4. It's not occuring on OS3. I've only been able to recreate the problem on July 30th and August 1st calendar dates for some reason. It may be happening on other dates also but I havn't been able to find any.
To recreate the problem go into day view on the calendar. Go to August 1st and create a calendar entry. Then touch the left arrow to go back a day then touch the right arrow to return to august 1st and your entry is invisible. It's still there because if you go forward a day then go back a day it shows.
I've been using list view only now to avoid missing these invisible entries.

Please always post your System details when you have a query. The upgrade to the new MobileMe calendar produces different results, and different problems, with different versions of OSX.
Snow Leopard: during the upgrade process your iCal calendars should be moved to MobileMe (this can take some time and you have to wait for it to happen). Once done, your iCal reads the calendars from MobileMe so any changes made in either place will be visible immediately. If this has not happened then this Apple Tech Note provides instructions:

Leopard: when the upgrade is completed iCal on Leopard will not be able to see the MobileMe calendars until an additional process is carried out, detailed in this Apple Tech Note:

Tiger: iCal on Tiger cannot read the MobileMe calendars, period. The only workaround is to upgrade to Leopard, or Snow Leopard if possible (Intel Mac required).
