IPhone 4 camera problem

Hello, I have a serious problem with my iPhone 4 camera. See the linked picture.
What's wrong with it? Can I fix it myself?

Looks like that's a "rweturn to store" fault I'm afraid.
Best bet is go through the restore as a new phone procedure, re-sync your files and see what happens but looks like a hardware fault.
Read the Restore procedure to make sure you understand what's involved

  • Iphone 6 camera problem?

    Hi guys,
i got my iphone 6 Yesterday afternoon from the apple online store.
I don't know if this is a real problem or if it is how the camera works but...i tried to take some pics and sometimes when i open the camera app the screen is like this.
and when i try to take pics of a computer screen it goes even worse.
I took pics of computer screens whit my iphone 5 but i didn't have this problem...and i don't even have an apple store near here to get it checked!
Is it normal or should i get it changed?
    Thanks in advance!

I am having exactly the same problem. Took pictures using side buttons rather than screen. 3 separate images, cant be seen from anywhere other than bottom left of the camera screen. Checked iPad for sync to see if they appeared on there. Nothing.
    They must be somewhere?!

  • IPhone 5 camera problems

My built in camera is not working properly. At first it showed up with pink purple and all sorts of different pink and purple lines on the screen, it would also go in and out to different types of shapes. And now the shutter won't open and I can not switch from front facing camera to the rear camera. The buttons (auto, options) do not work either. I tried resetting the settings, restarting my phone, nothing has changed... I am thinking it's a hardware problem, and I do have apple care. Has this happened to anyone else? What is the solution to this problem, and how much would I pay? Please help, thanks!

If you buy at apple online stock, the apple care still can't help much on the replacement because their local service provider dun care what apple care agree and confirm what is the problem! They still wanna to you to turn in your iphone to them and wait a week for them to check your iphone after that if they think is hardware issue than they will order the replacement for Singapore! End up u dun have phone to use for two weeks. But every time you go there they will tell you to call apple care because they are the one can help you! If apple care get you a case number confirm or agree what the problem is, they will follow what apple care confirm and fix the issue.  My local service provider is switch! How you solve your problem? And how long you wait for the replacement?

  • IPhone Photos & Camera Problem

I just restored my iPhone from backup, and i have deleted all the photos from both my iPhone and iPhoto.
When i go to my iPhone>Settings>General>About, it's showing 0 photo but when i go to Settings>General>Usage>PHotos & Camera, it's showing Camera Roll 93.7MB, Photo Library 3.2MB. Why is it so

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • Iphone 6 camera problems cannot change front to back

i can only get the rear facing pictures onthe camera application and when hit the rotating camera it only shows  blrruy image and not the forward facing lens

Has the photo you linked to been enlarged or is that the complete photo at actual size? The dot looks like an out of focus spec of dust.
If you feel your camera on the iPhone is not performing correctly make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • My pictures are good quality when I take them with my iPhone 4 camera bit when I send them via mms or post on Facebook they loose a lot of quality. How can I fix this problem?

When I take photos whit my IPhone 4 camera the pictures look great but recently when I send pictures to friends or try posting them on Facebook the photos loose their quality dramatically and the ones that I sent all look blurry and bad compared tothe original. Please somebody help! I always take pictures with my iPhone and send or post them and this problem is restricting me a lit. Thanks for your help :)

when I could open iPhoto the library had tripled... photos from years ago from my iPhone and iPhoto had somehow come back onto it (even though I deleted them), the "faces" files had turned into their own photos, photos tripled (some smaller versions some bigger), and loads of random clip art and images I had never seen was on it. There was over 40,000 photos. It was so weird
Nothing weird. That happens when you import one iPhoto Library into another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
    As for deletions:
Drag the image from the Event to the iPhoto Trash. Empty it. Then Empty the System Trash. That removes it from the hard disk.
If that has failed in the past it was due to the Library being corrupted.

But only in back camera this happens

Not sure what your warranty status is, or if you have already seen the other threads that talk about these purple spots, but this is beginning to look like a widespread problem that Apple is probably refusing to acknowledge. For instance:

    Hi teejayfs,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you've noticed unexpected behavior with your iPhone camera, start with these steps to isolate or resolve the issue:
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Hardware problem with my iPhone 4s camera! HELP!!!

i have a hardware problem with my iPhone 4s camera, will apple replace it for free?

If the problem is within the terms of the warranty, i.e. it's a manufacturing fault, certainly.
