Iphone 4 cannot upgrade 4.3.5 version

My iPhone 4 cannot update software 4.3.5 version, message shows " disconnected", and that seems it takes over 90 minutes for download, anything wrong or solution?

I had the same problem back in March of this year with my 3GS but with an earlier version of the iOS 4.  I connected it and hit "Download & Update".  After 30 minutes or so I came back and noticed my phone was in recovery mode!!!!  Tried everything but nothing worked despite what I was advised online through forums.  So I thought I was screwed... No phone... so I went ahead and renewed with AT&T and got an iphone 4.  Came home and plugged it in to load up all my music and stuff.  The same download and update message popped up and of course I couldn't resist... had to have it "Up to date".  The EXACT same thing happened this time to my IPHONE 4!!!  So again I had no phone.  FML.
So I called and set up a genious bar appointment at the nearest apple store and brought my laptop and both phones in.  After about an hour or so they came back out to the floor and had both phones up and running with the latest software.  Ever since then it's worked fine.  So I got an Iphone 4 for no reason... Now I've got a good 32GB 3GS backup phone lol.
IN A NUT SHELL:  Take it in to the apple store BEFORE you freak out and buy another one or put your fist through your computer screen like I wanted to!  They fixed both of mine in under an hour and it was FREE!!!
Inconvenient that it messed up but worth the trouble now that it's fixed and been 6 months.
Hope this helps.

I have a Mac OSX version 10.4.11 and iphoto 6. I can no longer order cards, prints etc. and cannot upgrade to a newer version of iphoto because I don't meet the system requirements of 10.5.6 or later. What can I do?

Unless you upgrade the OS and then iPhoto, not a lot, I'm afraid.

  • Cannot upgrade or delete existing versions of iTunes and apple software

I keep getting an error message:
    Error getting file security:
    C:\ProgramData\3BE82C4-E596-4e99-A191-52C6199EBF69\GetLastError:5
I cannot upgrade or delete existing versions - the Apple software installer seems to be the problem, but I can't find the file above and delete or uninstall it. I've tried uninstaller programs.
    Can anyone help?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
I would try manually deleting the folder: C:\ProgramData\34BE82C4-E596-4e99-A191-52C6199EBF69

  • Cannot upgrade iPhoto to latest version (iCloud)

cannot upgrade iPhoto to latest version (iCloud). Won't accept my apple id. Asks for user name used at the first download. Never downloaded. iPhoto was already installed with Lion on my new iMac. Any suggestion?

Go to the Purchases List in the App Store and accept iPhoto. Then you'll be able to update it.

  • IPhone 4, cannot upgrade Windows 7 - need 64-bit installer ??

I got an iPhone 4 (not 4s) and cannot get linked to my iTunes.  Says I need latest version (10+) of iTunes.  Will not install after downloading - get error message indicating I need the iTunes 64-bit installer for Windows 7.  Have been unable to find a way to fix this - any ideas will be welcome!  Thanks

Johnathan - thanks for the note - I have tried downloading the 64-bit version (or the 64-bit installer link) from apple.com several times.  It always pops up this message:  "This installer is intended for 32-bit versions of Windows.  Please obtain the 64-bit installer from:  http;//www.apple.com/support/downloads/bonjourforwindows.html "
This link is not valid, and, I just loop back to the apple page to download the 64-bit version and get the same error message every time.   I tried also to de-install the current version of iTunes, bonjour, etc from my computer, and, I get the same type message.

If your Mac is an Intel CPU model then you can purchase a OS X 10.6.3 Snow Leopard upgrade disc from Apple for$20 and then update to OS X 10.6.8.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
If your Mac is an older PowerPC style Mac, then OS X 10.5.8 is as high an OS as your Mac will go.
If your Mac is a much older PowerPC Mac, you could try TenFourFox which is more up to date web browser, based on Mozilla Firefox, for older PowerPC Macs run OS X 10.4 Tiger or OS X 10.5 Leopard.

If your Mac can be upgraded to Snow Leopard, then
Backup your important data and/or your entire Mac OS system before doing a major systems upgrade.

  • Cannot upgrade to the latest version.

rying to run an automatic update and the message that an older version (5.5) cannot be removed and to contact your technical support group. The error message then generated is that installing Skype failed – error code 1603. A fatal error occurred during installation. According to the ‘control panel – add/remove programs’ the Skype version running on this PC is version 4.2.

If you opened your iPhoto Library with Yosemite and iPhoto 9.6, it can no longer be opened with iPhoto 9.5.1 under Mavericks.
Restore the version of your iPhoto Library that you used with MacOS X 10.9.5 from your backup.
If you cannot restore a compatible version, you need to downgrade the library. This can be done with iPhoto Library Manager. You can download it here:
    http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/
The only problem is, that iPhoto Library Manager cannot preserve the products like books, cards, calendars.

    Glenn,
I tried upgrading to leopard, even bought the software and brought it home but it wouldn't let me. So i went back to apple, gave them the specifications of the machine and been told my machine is simply too old for leopard. This is incredible to me because it really isn't THAT old (i think just a little over 6 years maybe) and yet i'm left out on the curb when it comes to using newer apple products. I understand technology moves on but the mindset that i am supposed to dump a perfectly working machine after a couple of years or face not being able to use any other apple product is counter to what thought apple was about.

I cannot sync my iphone to my macbook since the highest software upgrade on it is 10.5.8.  I cannot upgrade to the min. software necessary to upgrade to the itunes version that I need for the iphone 5!  Please help!

The iPhone 5 requires iTunes 10.7 or later and iTunes 10.7 requires OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8). If your profile is correct it looks like you need to update your OS X on you Mac. You can contact Apple and purchase the software from them.

  • Cannot upgrade to OS4 for my iPhone 3G

    Hi,
I cannot upgrade to the new OS4. In my itunes it says
"a newer version of the iPhone software is available (version 4.0)to update your iPhone with the latest software, click Update"
So i click on update and the following message comes up
"this version of iTunes (9.1.1) is the current version"
It only gives me the option to click ok and thats it. Ive uplugged my phone and restarted the comp but it still says the same.
Any help would be much appreciated!! Has anyone else had this problem?

    Heres what I did:
    Have Windows 7 PC:
    1) plugges laptop into wall outlet and turned all powersaving options off except dim screen
    2) Just let update run over night
Even though it appears nothing is happening, its just REAL SLOW (Hours long slow for both back up and installation)
    3) The next morning, after update, I synched iphone 3G one more time (if you don't it runs very slow until you do)
I have 8 gb 3G iphone and with update it runs a little slow but nothing to get too exited about. Update was ridiculously long but pretty satisfied with upgrade overall. Just hang in there and have some patience, turn off your hard drive going into sleep mode and you should be OK
    Hope this helps!
