hi. i turn on my bluetooth on my iphone and the mac at school, but it never really finds my iphone, but it finds my friends regular phone that is a voyager.
is there anything wrong with my iphone's bluetooth?There is at least 1 app that uses bluetooth to transfer files between the iPhone and the Mac. It is Reunion, which is a genealogy program.
I am having the same difficulty in getting my 3GS to connect to my MacBookPro. I have updated software on the Mac, turned the phone, bluetooth off and back on, also have the the home buttton/lock switch cycle to no avail. The Mac sees the iPhone but the iPhone doesn't see the Mac. Worked fine with my original iPhone. -

KenOf course, as anyone who has needed to Restore their iPhone, discovered that their backup was corrupt (happens quite often), and thus lost the pics they snapped with the iPhone, can tell you - you may be better off letting iPhoto launch, importing then deleting the pics from the iPhone, and syncing them back via iTunes so they're not lost for good. Just my 2¢.

I have a used mac computer. I want to sync and update my iphone. Currently itunes tells me that my iphone is connected to a different itunes account and will sync, but delete everything from my phone. How do I make itunes sync and update my phone without deleting all the current information on my phone?
Iphone will sync with one and only one cpomptuer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer. This is the design of the iphone.
It will erase the content when you sync.
Why not update from the comptuer with which you normally sync? -
I can listen to the Music Library in my Ipad through home sharing, but I can't do it in my Iphone. When Iphone managed to connect my Mac, I can see how a watch turns clockwise but it stops when it arrives at a half of the watch. What can I do?

Hi my iPhone 4 won't turn on . When plugged in on several different chargers the following happens . Blank screen then apple sign for a short period then it buzzes and goes blank. Have tried power button and home button but no change ,When connected to mac get message that phone is in recovery mode and that i must restore this phone before it can be used with iTunes . Is this my last resort as I have some photoessays I don't want to loose.

Need help switching my iPhone from connecting to old PC to new Mac.
Just bought a new Mac laptop today, and would like to connect my iPhone to this new Mac instead of the old PC I have been using for forever. However, I can't seem to figure out just how to do that. Trying to avoid restoring at all costs.

Right now i connected my iPhone 5s to my mac in iTunes it said that i should do a Restore Factory Settings, i wanted to know that if i do this will it delete my applications and Games from my iPhone or not.The Problem is that i cant get backup from itunes either,
because as i connect my iphone the page of tunes popups with the message "Restore to factory Settings" And when clicking on ok it will go directly to the restore iphone page . there will be no option to backup -
Actually I want to restore my iphone from my mac but I can't because it says "go to icloud settings on your iphone and turn off find my iphone before restore your iphone". Then, I go to icloud.com and erase find my iphone. But I still can't restore my iphone because it says pending to erase your iphone until your iphone connected to the internet. My iphone wont connect to itunes on my macbook after I have already synced it. I am running the lastest itunes 10.4 and I have tried restarting both phone and mac. Can anyone suggest what I can do?
You will have to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the phone as new. Since you don't have a back up, you will lose all the data on your phone but you will be able to use it again.

Is it possible to use a mac as wireless"base-station" for a iPhone by using an airport extreme card , if the mac is connected only by wire?

Make sure Sync Apps is checked on the Apps tab of your iTunes sync settings and that all the apps are checked that you want on your phone. Also be sure that your computer is authorized for all Apple IDs used to purchase your apps (and other media) in Store>Authorize this Computer.
