IPhone 4 crashed and will not restart

So tonight my iPhone crashed without reason, I wasn't running any apps. I had just finished showing off how co the face time chatting is when it crashed. Now I'm trying to reboot it by holding the sleep and home button for like 10 sec and getting no change in screen. The only thing I'm noticing is that the back of my phone is heating up!
Anyone have any thoughts or siggestions? I'm thinking about taking it back to the apple store when I get home.

Same problem here. Random crashes and turning off unexpectedly. Difficult to restart. Have to hold down power and home buttons in varying order until finally it decides restart. Can take up to 10 mins. Have done two restores from backup and then one clean restore as some have had success with this. Still no change for me. The essential thing a mobile phone should do is stay on. I suspect updated apps using background services may be the cause (or the way iOS 4 interactions with these apps). Guess a call to Apple it will have to be then.

My Ipad Mini with retina display has crashed and will not restart.Only the white screen with the apple logo will appear. This comes and goes randomly. I've tried resetting by holding the front and top buttons. I've also tried resetting using itunes. Neither had any effect, The Ipad was a christmas present and only worked for several hours, the apple store can not look at it for another week. Is this a common occurance? I thought apple products were expensive because they never had problems.

Call Apple and explain as it is new. They will go over things to try and fix over the iPad over the phone. If they need to fix it they should send you a new one and you put the old one in thePrepaid return box they send you and send back the defective iPad for no cost. This is what they did with my first iPad 1st gen. I had. Unless they changed their policy you will get the box within a day or two and have your replacement for it the same day.

Z10 crashed and will not restart: manual security swipe

The other day my Z10 simply crashed (was not being used at the time). Since then the phone will not restart. The boot process gets to 99% and then stops (waited over 36 hours for something to happen). I have removed the battery, waited a couple of minutes and reinstalled the battery, but no luck. The phone does not restart.
I have to send the phone to my provider and will get a replacment. However I would like to do a security swipe to remove all personal data. Is there a "button", which would allow me to manually swipe the phone's memory/reset the phone to factory settings (OS will not boot, so the standard procedure using Settings/Security... will not work)?

I backed up my device a few hours before my phone crashed.
I cannot connect my phone to BB Link on my computer, because my phone will not boot. As my computer cannot recognize my phone when connected, a software wipe (via BB Link desktop or Settings/Security & Privacy) will not work.

Iphone 5C Crashed and Will Not Turn On For Anything

The screen on my Iphone 5c turned green yesterday while I was taking a picture and my phone cut off. It then went through a phase where the Apple logo would appear and fade out. Sometimes the logo would turn red or a different color while it did this over and over again. Eventually, it turned back on and everything was cool until the next morning. I woke up late for work because my Iphone had crashed while I was sleeping and the alarm on the phone never went off. The phone had been plugged in to a wall charger so I was surprised to see my phone "dead" when I finally got up. The phone worked fine during the day but later that night it turned green and crashed again. This time it never turned back on. The logo repeatedly fades in and out. Hard resets do nothing and I can't even get it to enter recovery mode with Itunes to do a factory reset. I have an appointment with the Apple store on Tuesday so we shall see how that goes... I've only had my phone since August and it is not damaged in ANYWAY. I also don't have many apps, just one for the campus bus tracker. I never had any problems with my Iphone 4. However, my new phone is running on iOS 8 or 8.1. I can't remember. But I do know that I haven't done the most recent update yet.

Go into an Apple Retail Store have them look at it.
Bring in the lightening cable as well. If they find its dead they will warrant it on the spot.
Don't use Verizon for warranty on any iPhone.

I just re-installed the old harddrive, and it is still dead (and I checked the new drive and it loads).

ITunes crashed and will not restart

I just syncd my iphone and everything went well. I eject the iphone and while it was unplugged from my mac I reset the entire phone. I loaded my sim card in a replacement phone from apple (3gs) and plugged plugeed it into my mac. itunes did not load as usual (nor did iphoto). I clciked itunes to start it and I get an error message saying "the file ituneslibrary itl can not be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes. would you like to download itunes now?"
When I hit yes it runs the update and says that there is nothing to update and stops, leaving me with no itunes to run, no working phone and starnded in limbo.

If so, I would suggest removing iTunes and reinstalling it.

Firefox crashed and will not restart (get "Crash Reporter only), what do I do?

When attempting to launch Firefox I get this Crash Reporter prompt (http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr307/rgf/MozillaCrashReporter.jpg). Clicking "Restart Firefox" does not work. I tried downloading Firefox again but it did not resolve the problem.

Any suggestions?
Tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Tried opening in safe mode. Tried creating a new profile. The only progress is that a window now opens for a split second before the Crash reporter.

K8N Neo2 Platinum Crash and Will Not ReStart

I built my current system in Feb 2005 and it has been rock solid ever since. Then this evening I was working on my budget when all of a sudden I lost the video signal to my monitor. I shut down the computer. I tried pressing the power button and nothing. I unplugged the P/S, waited a couple of minutes, plugged it back in and pressed the power button. System came back on but still no video signal and system is not posting. All fans, including cpu fan come on but I do show the following LED's illuminated on the D-Bracket 2: Upper left is yellow, upper right is red, lower left is red and lower right is yellow. When I try to restart, the LED's do not recycle back to 4 reds, they remain Y- R - R - Y. I tried replacing the video card no effect. I also reseated my 4 sticks of ram, no change. After many attempts at trying to restart, now I'm getting an unending beep, actually more like an alarm when I attempt to power on the system. The alarm may be coming from the P/S I can't really tell. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The possibility for suddenly a cpu is dead is pretty low .
This code may still mean mobo is borked , like it's not giving CPU 1.45v feed , i.e like a cap or a VRM responisible for cpu voltage on the mobo is kaputt.It can also be a creack on the PCB level on the motherboard if it had warped itself during mounting (or later) ,this is pretty common.
I set my money on that the mobo is failing .

CS4 in Windows, Crashed and will not restart

Was working this morning when an error occured, sent the report, went back after a reboot to find I can not reopen InDesign, crashes while loading:

I deleted the lock page thinking I could access without trying to salvage the page in progress, smae error.
Can Not get the program to open?

Are you trying to open a file by double-clicking, or are you launching the application?
It might help to replace the preferences. Take a look at Adobe InDesign CS4 * Setting preferences, particualrly my comments at the end regarding manual replacement.

HP desktop crashed and will not start

My HP computer (P7-1268C) crashed and will not restart. After trying everything I can think of, I pressed the start button once more and the color went from blue to orange and then blank again. The computer did not overheat as it is not even warm. Please help.

hello. I am not an expert but i will still try to help. first thing i would try is checking with a different monitor. If that does not work than i would create an ubuntu flashdrive. ubuntu is and free and open sorce os and is a good tempary fix if you need a computer fast. It is very easy to install onto a flash drive. ubuntu.com
it also sounds like if it isnt the monitor than its a virus.
