Iphone 4 didn't sync

Hello, I already (well about 2 weeks ago) updated to the iOS5 and all my apps sync but not a single song did it! I don't know what to do! Please somebody help me!, am I the only one? I don't know what to do! I want my music on my iPhone

If you still have your 3G - Right click and select transfer Purchases on your 3G.
You can't just get it from a backup file, as this is only a reference to the files.

This means that only 10 of your Notes appear on your "iCloud" account. The rest appear on your "On My iPhone" account. IPhone didn't sync correctly, lost pictures and videos

Today I sync'd my phone before doing a restore. The sync went fine as well as the restore. When I attempted to restore my phone from the back up, it showed that it was last sync'd at 12:54PM which sounds about right when I sync'd it last. Well the issue is that when I restored it from that file, none of the stuff I backed up was there. The most recent texts in that backup were from July 17th, but some of the camera roll photos were from two weeks ago. My dilemma? I had been on vacation the last few days and took some photos and videos, which are now lost. I went into username/roaming/apple computer/mobilesync/backup (i'm using vista) and it looks like a backup was created today but the data in the backup has a creation data of July 17th which coincides with the text messages in that backup. I wanted to know if there is anyone who knows of a method to retrieve my lost files. I used a friends Mac to open the .mddata files in where the backups are located but there are probably 400 files to go through. I called Apple and they really didn't help other than "compensating" me for my lost files. That does not get the files back though. I would really appreciate any help towards getting these files back. If you guys need any more of an explanation let me know. Thank you.

HT4623 My iphone didn't sync with my ipad or ipod via icloud.

I just bought an iphone 4s but my music didn't move over from my ipad or ipod. All of the settings look correct. I bought an itune the other day on my iphone and it transfered over to my ipod just fine. But I wanted all of the music that is copied on my ipod to move over.

What you will need to do is go into settings>itunes and app store, and turn on auto downloading for music and apps and that will make anything you purchase on one device download on the other one.

If the basics (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) don't work, you'll need to bring the phone to Apple for evaluation

Right click in windows. Control click on Mac. On the phone in iTunes. Choose "transfer purchases"

did you ever do a backup. cause if you did say like a year ago. it should still be there and you could at least get the info back until that date.

I didn't sync my new iPhone 5 to a computer before using it, now that I want to it says I have to delete everything, does it mean just my music or apps and photos too?

After using my new iPhone 5 for a few months I tried to sync it to my computer but it said I had to wipe it first, I don't know if it means everything or just the music. Half of my music transferred to my iTunes library and the other half I can get through iCloud so it's the apps and photos I'm worried about. Will they be wiped too? If so, how do I transfer the photos I took before activating photo stream onto my photo stream? I'm going away on vacation tonight so please answer ASAP! Any help appreciated, thank you!!

The iPhone will only sync potentially copyrighted information from one computer, music, movies, and photos (synced to the iPhone from a computer). It will not delete the photos you have taken on the iPhone, which are in the Camera Roll.

New iPhone, first sync on PC, calender and notepad didn't sync

When I plugged in the iPhone my PC updated iTunes first. Then it performed a sync. I wasn't sure where to look for the calendar but I found programs called Windows Calendar, Contacts and Journal. I found that my iPhone Contacts did sync up but the other two did not. Am I looking in the right places for the data?
I gave up a Palm T/X for this so I am hoping the iPhone exceeds the Palm.
Is it possible to transfer or copy and paste my Palm data into the iPhone data on the PC? The same is true for my Journal and Calendar.

The manual doesn't give much info on setting up the calendar, just the email. Do you use a PC? If so which program do you use for the calendar?
I also use Firefox instead of Explorer. Is this a problem?
I am surprised that Apple doesn't have one program which will sync all the programs and make accessibility simple. Palm does this and it is very simple to see everything on the screen in one program.
My calendar is very important for me and it is used daily. Preservation is vital.

If she cannot remember the passcode, then she has to restore the device. If she did not backup the phone before this, she will lose all of her content. The only chance would have been if she had synced to a computer, but you say she did not.

IPhone 5S Music syncing issues after 8.0.2

I have been having irritating issues getting my iPhone 5S to sync my music library over after updating to 8.0.2.
I did a backup onto my laptop prior to updating, and went ahead with the new update. The first thing I noticed was after updating to 8.0.2 in order to sync again, iTunes prompted me that I was lacking 6GB of data on my phone to sync my library. I did not use my phone at all during the updating process so there's no way 6GB of data was magically written on it's storage drive. I could not figure out why in the world iTunes would tell me I needed to free up 6GB to sync the exact same music that was already there prior to. I went ahead and completely deleted my entire Music library from the phone, and tried to resync fresh. I still got the same message from iTunes. Believing in the program and going ahead and doing some spring cleaning, I ended up freeing a good amount of things off of my phone, applications, photos, messages, etc. to drop 6GB from the storage. I went ahead and synchronized my iPhone 5S with iTunes so I could get my music on my phone. It proceeded to go ahead and sync my roughly 1400 songs onto the iPhone. After it was complete, it showed I had an astounding 12GB of free space on my phone... I said to **** with it and just wanted to play my music. The phone seems to have all of my library that I chose to sync on my Music app. The problem is, when I go to play songs the music app will Skip over certain songs. I have not found any commonality between which songs it chooses to skip. It skips newly added songs, it skips old songs, it skips purchased songs, it skips songs downloaded from other sites. There seems to be no structure to which songs it's skipping. Another thing to note, whenever I connect my iPhone 5S to my iTunes and sync, I am Always able to sync something new onto the phone (around step 5 or 6 when it is completing the sync, it will mysteriously add some songs to the phone). Those songs are playable. Then I shuffle through my playlist, and Still the same problem remains, it has removed some songs and skips over them. It seems to Sync songs, and Delete songs... completely at random. This is bothering me and I'm not sure what to do, and am Very unsatisfied with the amount of bugs still left in the software. I wonder if others are having similar issues and maybe we can bring some light to this.

Similar issue Andrew. After installing 8.0, the IOS deleted 225 songs from one of my playlists, and I'm still "recalling" songs that are no longer in my Music Library. Fortunately, although the playlist of 235 had only 6 songs left on it ( on my Mac), the Playlist was not erased from my I -Phone. I was able to recreate the Playlist on my Mac, using the intact playlist on my phone. When I synched however, I was back to square one. I went to the Apple store, and I had to reset the phone . We also downloaded IOS 8.02. They saved my playlist in the Cloud, deleted it from my Mac, then synched it. Lo and behold, the playlist I recreated on my Mac, synched to my I Phone. After the reset, I had like 11GB of free space. (Its been 5 days since the "reset" and the number of GBs fluctuates from day to day !!)
When I got home from the Apple store I spent after hours reinstalling all the apps, synchng the phone to the Bluetooth in my car ( you know the rest of the saga) , I purchased a song from I Tunes. I "drag and dropped" it into a Playlist, and synched. Didn't work. Song shows in "Recently Added", but the drag and drop feature doesn't work. Bottom line, I'm not willing to "reset" my phone every time I add a song ! I've tried any number of fixes posted to this support community, but none have worked for me.
Furthermore, it took me 3 hours to get the phone re-synched to the Bluetooth system in my car. However every time I connect to "Bluetooth Audio", the system needs to "find" and "reconnect to" my phone. If you ( or anyone else ) finds something that might work for both the music synch and /or the Bluetooth, I'd appreciate your input.

Hi I updated my iTunes last month and ever since then my iPhone 5s wont sync to my iTunes, I've tried my aunts phone which is the same as mine and it didn't sync either and then I tried my boyfriends iPhone 4 and it connected and synced. I have deleted iTunes and downloaded it again and still nothing. Please help me I want to add my new songs on my phone.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
There are a couple of different steps I would suggest in your case. When you deleted iTunes did you delete all of its components in the correct order as well? If not, I would suggest deleting iTunes again along with the components and install fresh and test. When I connect my iPhone to my computer iTunes open and it syncs stuff automaticly, but it didn't sync the programs I recently installed and I don't know why. So I'm wondering how I can do that?
