Iphone 4 does not receive calls after iOS 6 update

Hi
can anyone help me?
Since the iOS 6 update my wife's phone has not been working properly, every so often calls are diverted to answer phone and only register to advise of a missed call, I have tried the following:
restarted the phone, taken the sim card out and then back in again, reset the settings and logged in to a different apple ID. The only thing I haven't done is to restore back to factory settings and start again.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so were you able to correct it.

Well, i don't see an another solution possible; you should try again and again to restore. Btw, my phone seemed to operate strange (even the stock mail app began to crash) so i tried hard reset (home button + sleep/wake button until seeing the apple logo). After that i found my phone again in dfu mode this night so began restoring again now.
It seems that apple didn't tested ios6 enough with the 3GS. I have a 32 GB phone so this will be near 60 gb download from the icloud over my broadband connection.

Hey, so recently I've got my iphone (4) and I have updated to ios 5.0.1 the next day I got it. The problem is that my phone sometimes doesn't make phone calls, receive ones or send message( imessage and text message) properly. And when I try to call someone when my phone is acting that way and then say 'end' it just gets locked. But after waiting SO long it starts working but I never could understand the problem. I too have experienced the Logitech s715i error message stating something like, the accessory is not a supported device of the iPhone. The speakers will charge my phone but will not "connect" to play music. I have an iPhone 4S running version 6.1 (10B142).
I too have contacted Logitech for support and am awaiting a reply.

Something has become corrupted hold down the Home and Power Button whilst plugged into Computer and with iTunes open it should then find a iPhone in recovery mode reinstall the software and the back up it sounds like the back up had something wrong and has put this on to the new install.

Iphone 3gs does not turn on after ios 6 update

After the ios6 update, my iphone 3gs does not turn on. I see the apple logo, after a minute, it boots again and i see the logo again. This process seems to continue like a circle. After a search the net, i see that i am not the only one. A quick fix and suggestions please, as i need my phone of course.
Btw, Apple, i know that this is an old hardware and i will buy the new iphone 5 when it is available here in my country in December. But of course, you claşmed this update supports my 3gs, you should immediately find a fix

Not receiving iMessages after i updated my iphone 4 to iOS 7

Once i updated my iphone to the new ios 7 update, i haven't been able to receieve any imessages after i updated it. But I was able to read them on my ipad, but i couldn't recieve them on my iphone.

Most likely the iphone was hacked to unlock it from the original carrier
updating the iOS will relock a hacked iPhone to that Carrier

Text and Data services still work fine. All other features of my phone seem unaffected. I have tried rebooting and resetting my network setting with no luck. Any other recommendations on how to restore the ability to use my phone as a phone? This is a strange side affect for a software update (iOS 6.1)

The problem is more than likely being cause by corruption that occured during the iOS install or in the backup that was used to restore the phone after the update.
Standard troubleshooting is:
Re-boot the phone
Restore the phone from your backup
Restore the phone as a new device.
One of the 3 should fix the problem.

My iphone 6 stopped receiving calls after upgrading to ios 8.2

I have a new iPhone 6, 64 GB. I tried upgrading it 2 days ago to iOS 8.2.
The first time it froze for a long time and when it started, everything seemed
to be ok until I opened my messages, the screen froze then my messages opened a
blank page, then went opened a new message window, and I couldn't do anything
after, except close the messages. then I found out that my phone does not ring
when someone is trying to call me, so I tried calling my phone from a land line
and it shows it is ringing, but my iPhone 6 is not and does not show any
activity. it like its ringing somewhere else. I tried restoring it, and again
it did the same thing, the minute I open my messages. its like it triggers a
malfunction that crashes the hand set.
Has anyone experienced this, and is there a solution other than waiting for
the next update that will hopefully fix this problem?

If you're still not seeing any indication of incoming calls and Messages isnot functioning as expected, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes.
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

IPhone 4S not recognized/charging after iOS 6.0.1 update

I've upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 6.0.1 when the updates became available on my handset and everything seems to work fine until I plugged it into my iMac for some late-night development with XCode. It wasn't recognized/charging at all. At first, I thought the connector cable was faulty, but using the provided Apple charger and the same cable, charging was working....
This morning, when arriving at work, I upgraded an iPhone 4 (the previous generation) to iOS 6.0.1 and plugged it into my work iMac: Same issue.
It seems that upgrading the iOS version to 6.0.1 disable synching/charging on my iMac.
Verified on:
- iPhone 4 + iMac 27in Mid-2010 running Mountain Lion 10.8.2
- iPhone 4S + iMac 27in Mid-2010 running Mountain Lion 10.8.2
I have no iPhone 5 available yet, so I cannot verify it, but it seems that something is amiss.
Beware of iOS 6.0.1!

Let's do a little recap:
- Do not detect in iTunes/XCode on my iMac Mid-2010 running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 (Both 4 and 4S)
- Do not charge when plugged-in on my iMac Mid-2010 running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 (Both 4 and 4S)
- Soft Reset from the phone does not work (Only tried on iPhone 4)
- Hard-Reset from the phone does not work (Only tried on iPhone 4)
- DFU Mode will not trigger the iTunes. (Only tried on iPhone 4)
Perhaps it is not widespread, but it is annoying. Especially when the iPhone 4 is my work phone and I need it to deploy/test my App before submitting to the App Store!

IPhone 5s not receiving iMessages after upgrading to iOS 8

After upgrading to iOS 8 my iPhone 5s is not receiving iMessages from the rest of the family. My phone shows up green instead of blue on the other phones. I have tried all kinds of resets, turning off/on iMessages, etc. Nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I upgraded both of my iPhone4 to the new ios7, and then 7.0.2 and mine will not send or receive calls inside my apartment but the otherone will. I tried everything but VooDoo. Reset all date, reinstalled the software in iTunes, and set-up as a new iPhone but nothing. Freaky thing is the replacement Verizon sent today has the same issues. Anyone know why?

Hi folks, I updated my iphone 4 with the ios5 or 6 update, and when it powercycled it would not turn back on.
when I try to turn it on, i get the standard apple icon, then a usb symbol will appear with an arrow above it, and the i tunes symbol above that.
Its obviously telling me to connect to itunes, but when i do, the device registers, but only prompts me to reset the phone. After doing that, same prob...HELP

If connecting in recovery mode, as explained in this article did not help to restore the phone again, you'll have to get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place or by contacting Apple Support.
