Hi guys,
Maybe it's not the best to bring to life such old discussions, but I had the same problem with my iPad 2 and my iPhone 5, using a Linksys WRT54G.
The problem was completly solved by changing the SSID from "linksys" to anything more "unique".
Hope this help you in case you're still facing this issue.
Regards.

Why My iPhone 4 doesn't have sound after I upgrade it to IOS 7.0.2?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

  • My macbook pro doesn't wake up after sleep

my macbook pro doesn't wake up after sleep

I'm having the same issue. I've had my logic board replaced twice now, which I did last week and then Monday I had to take it to a Genius Bar again because my hard drive cable was malfunctioning. I don't know why it's happening but I'm really starting to get frustrated with my machine. I bought my MacBook Pro brand new last year in September and ever since I've dropped it in November, it's been really glitchy. After I dropped it, I had to replace my Logic board, graphics card, and hard drive and they covered it.

  • Wifi doesn't wake up after sleep

Every time I wake up my iMac, there is no internet connection.  The wifi signal symbol in the upper right has full bars, and there's every indication that it is indeed connected to the wifi network and the internet - but it's not.  Even if I wait for several minutes, it doesn't come back on, so every time I wake my computer up, I have to disable and then reenable wifi, and it starts working within seconds.  This isn't too hard to do, but it is an annoyance, and I'd expect better from Mac OS.  When I'm running Windows 7 on bootcamp on the same machine, there is never any problem with the wifi after waking up, so I assume it must be a problem with Mac OS rather than it being a hardware issue.  I've got a 2011 21.5" iMac running Mac OS X Lion, although I was having similar problems when I was running Snow Leopard too.  I've tried removing all the pre saved wifi accounts through the network preferences and keychain, but it hasn't helped.   Any ideas?

It's definitely become more of a problem since I installed Lion, it was more of an intermittent problem on Snow Leopard.  My wifi router's a brand new Netgear DGN2200, and it works perfectly with all my other devices, including this iMac when it's running Windows 7.

  • Losing wifi after sleep mode.

Since upgrading to ios 8 my iPad 3 never reconnects to wifi after it enters sleep mode. I have to do a restart each time to reconnect.
    Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

When that happens to me I switch to the neighbors wifi then right back to my own and I'm good to go. Next comes turning off your wifi router for 30 seconds.

  • Original Macbook Pro Retina 15 not connecting to wifi after sleep

When Waking from sleep, it searches for wifi and finds it but doesn't connect most of the time. i click/select the network manually & sometimes it connects but iv ended up resorted to turning wifi off, then turn back on & it finds the network (it found earlier) AND connects to it automatically. this problem happens on other wifi's aswell, not just my home wifi.
Wondering why it can find the network after sleep, but doesn't want to connect to it. All my ios devices, my sisters MBP retina 13 connects perfectly. I've come to conclusion it must be my computer....

I to have this problem. I have a late 2013 Macbook Pro 13inch with Retina display. I soon discovered on my machine that if you disable Bluetooth then the macbook connects to the wi-fi as it should. I dont have a problem on my home network with any other apple devices and the connectivity issue is the same on what ever network I try. I soon realised that if I disabled Bluetooth the machine connects perfectly everytime. There is clearly a bug or some technical issue that occurs preventing wi-fi connection when you have Bluetooth enabled. Try it and see if it is teh same with yours?
I was hopeing that the fault or issue would be fixed with the latest OX update but alas it is still an issue for me on my machine. I have just taken to switching Bluetooth to off until I am connected and then just turn Bluetooth on if I need it.
Hopeing that some kind of fix will be issued soon.
Let me know if this Bluetooth issue is the cause of the issue as I woudl be interested.
    Best wishes.

  • My iphone 4 doesn't catch wifi

my iphone doesn't catch wifi. wat should i do now?

This is a recent problem, my iphone 4 used to recognize my WiFi.
Also, I tried rebooting the iphone which did not help.
When I go to settings, Wi-Fi it shows "Not Connected", when I go to the Wi-Fi screen it shows my next store neighbors home Wi-Fi but not mine.
Re-booteding the router did not help.

  • Reconnecting to WiFi after sleep

    Hello All,
When my iMac is put to sleep, the WiFi connection is broken.  Fair enough, but the problem is that when the machine is woken, the connection doesn't re-establish itself.  The only way round this I've yet found is to go into System Preferences->Network, turn off WiFi and then turn it on again, whereupon the connection is re-established.  I can't help feeling that I shouldn't have to do this; is there a setting somwhere that I need to change?  I may be wrong, but this seems to have started happening since I took an upgrade to OS X 10.7.3.
    Many thanks,
    Mark

If not, found the following in another thread once:
This is what solved my problems with WiFi disconnecting randomly, not appearing after awakening, etc.
    1.  Open network preferences from your WiFi icon in the menu bar.  Then click advanced.  Delete the network that is giving you problems.
    2.  Open Keychain in the utilities folder of your hard drive.  Find the passwords that are stored for your particular network and delete them. There may be multiple passwords for your network, so search carefully.
    3.  Repair permissions using the disk utility.
    4.  Reboot the computer.
    5.  Reenter your network data to log into the network.
This worked fixing my two computers and my parent's computer.  All have been working well for a few weeks now thanks to this.  I think the passwords somehow become corrupt with keychain because analyzing the logs of my AEBS, I could see that the computer was registering but the AEBS wasn't giving it access (I'm using WPA2 encryption)."
    Good luck.

  • If iPhone 6+ doesn't see WiFi network after iOS 8.3 upgrade, restart router and iPhone

PROBLEM: After upgrading my iPhone 6+ to iOS 8.3, the iPhone initially would not "see" the presence of my Apple Airport WiFi network.
This was bizarre because the credentials were saved on the iPhone, the WiFi network had been continuously up, my Mac Air remained continuously logged in to the Airport WiFi, and the iPhone was able to see other WiFi networks I didn't wish to connect to such as xfinity's and the neighbor's. Just not mine.
Manually entering the network name and password had no effect.
SOLUTION: Restart the Airport WiFi router. Then restart the iPhone 6+. Now the iPhone 6+ sees and connects to the WiFi network automatically as usual.
    Hope this helps some folks!

I Apologize for the long overdue reply. If your using a pc with your iPhone it is a common problem i noticed since i had iPhone 3GS, although it can occasionally happen with mac but you if backed the phone with the issue will get the same issue you had since it will be in the backup it backups software on phone as well you see.

  • ITunes doesn't play music after sleeping mode.

iTunes doesn't play music. I try to start any song by remote app in iPhone from sleeping mode of mac mini.
I can see all my music library, choose any artist and any albom.
But when I try to start the music nothing is happen.
The button Play/pause doesn't work and the play-bar is not moving.
This issue have appeared after upgrade to iTunes 11 and new remote app.
After reboot iTunes everything is ok, but in a sleep mode I have the same problem.
    Please help!

okay. i solved the problem. After reading a few other posts on related topics, it appears that using either the Setup Assistant(instead of the Airport Admin program) or if you are using the new version called 'Airport Utility' to use the option to 'Assist Me'. After going through the setup in this way it worked!

  • My iPhone 4 doesn't reconnect once it says 'No Sevice' and should I update my phone to iOS 6.1.2?

This has happened before, my iphone will not connect to any network once I go out places with wifi, so I went to the Apple Store and they gave me a new one.
Now I have had this one since June and it started not reconnecting to any network and I have to switch on and off the airplane mode in order to get the network back. Do people in Apple Store know how to fix this or is there actually any way to fix it?
I am using 3 so I don't know if they could be the problem.
Also, will updating it to iOS 6.1.2 help with this problem? However, I have seen a lot of posts saying their battery die really quickly after updating it , so I don't know if I should update it. My phone is not insuranced anymore so I don't want to risk.

If it really is an iPhone 3Gs and not an iPhone 3G...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
If an Update Appears Install it... if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...

  • My Iphone 4S doesn't turn on after IOS 7 updates

    Hei guys,
I have an iphone 4S. Few days before the release of IOS7 I managed to download the beta version to my iphone. Everything was going fine until the first update of IOS7. It shuted up completelly. I manage to make it alive again, but today, it got ran out of battery and now I can't turn it on any more. I tried quite a few things. My Itunes recognizes the iphone when I plug it onto my computer, however, everytime I press the hold buttom, it doens't turn on. I've tried holding home and hold buttom as well, but everything I have is a weird screen with a big sort of finger print white in the middle of a black screen.
Do you guys know what I can do in order to solve the problem? I've restored and resetted the iphone as well, but it insists in not turning on.
Thank you guys for your attention
    Leandro

    Hi Enriquedelgado35,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  This article has steps you can take if your iPhone won't turn on without being connected to power:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • Please help! My iphone 3g wont connect to wifi after password change.

    Hello Guru's,
I have the iPhone 3g and just love it. I am able to connect yo my wifi connection at home. However, recently, I had changed my wifi security password. After that, My iphone 3g does not connect. It used to automatically connect. I selected the "Forget this network" option, then reset the phone and started it again. But, it detects my wifi, asks me to enter password which i do(the new one) , it shows checked meaning connected. But nothing works, safari, apps store, just says not connected, please check your network. MY laptop works fine. IS there something I need to do! It works fine in other wifi spots.
    Please help!
    thanks

    Hello applefan,
Check my post in this thread for information on troubleshooting your WiFi connection:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1914161
    Also, see this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
Special characters other than letters and numbers in your password can cause issues connecting as well.
    Hope that helps,

  • IPHONE 4 DOESN'T ACCEPT WIFI PASSWORDS ANYMORE - PLEASE HELP!

    Hi all,
My iPhone 4 out of blue decided not to accept the wifi password- it says "wrong password for xxx network" - it's my home one it always worked-
I was away and worked fine for a week in others houses (where the password was stored already) went to other house, tried to connect with passwprd and started saying the pw was wrong - got home last night and didn't connect right away as usual(maybe because I've reset the network when away) so I've put the pw in and again says it's wrong - Of course the password is correct - laptop works fine and iPod touch as well - At work there is a non protected wifi and it connects fine - So looks like the iPhone doesn't accept passwprds for the wifi
I've tryed to reset the network few times, reboot it few times, reset all settings and update the sofware (version 5.0.1) - nothing worked - aw also unpluged and re-pluged the router at home (knowiing wouldn't' help)
PLEASE help, very frustrating - I've seen few people had the same issue but nothing worked.
    Thanks

    You're welcome.
Incorrect. The passcode lock is not included with the backup. The restrictions passcode is, but not the passcode lock. If it were included with the backup, you would need to restore as a new device or not from the backup. Either way, you must restore with iTunes which is the only way around a forgotten passcode.
