IPhone 4 doesn't turn on. Reset doesn't work.

For the past year, my iPhone 4 locks up every now and then (it does not let me slide to unlock) but it always began to work again after 4 or 5 force restarts. A couple days ago, this happened, but it did not work after many force restarts. I restored it to factory settings, and I got to the part where it says to let your phone restart, but after it did, the iPhone turned off and now it will not turn back on. iTunes cannot see it and I have tried charging it and it does not work. It had iOS 5.1.
Also the phone has not been severly damaged or dropped in water or anything like that. Thanks!

what fixed it?

  • My Macbook Pro Retina doesn't turn on but charger led works

I haven't used my mac for a month but it use to work perfectly fine. I tried to use it but it wouldn't turn on. When i plug the magsafe connecter the led goes orange. But when i press the power button it doesn't turn on. i tried smc reset using left shift, control and option (and power button) while charging and not charging but it doesn't work. Please help.

IF the battery was completely discharged, give it some time on the charger before trying to start up.  The amber LED means it is charging, give it an hour or so before trying again.

  • IdeaPad U160 doesn't turn on, support doesn't work either

My IdeaPad U160 just stopped working from one day to the other. Nothing special happened, I turned it off one day and in the morning there was no energy in the computer. I took the battery off and checked if the charger was working, but everything was fine. I followed the instructions that I found here on the Lenovo website to press the switch for some seconds without charger or battery and nothing happened. I did that more than 10 times.
So finally now after almost one week I contacted the support center in Germany, since there is no other way of contacting Lenovo when you have an IdeaPad. Some very missinformed person answered the phone and was of no help since he didn't tell me how to proceed with repairing the computer. He just told me that I should press the switch again for 20sec and wait for 30min, even though I told him that I had already done that. Note that my computer is still in the warranty period, but actually not for long anymore.
So now I want to know how do I proceed with the warranty service in Germany? Who can I contact?

Iphone 4 is stuck.  I have tried a master reset and it didn't work.  it won't slide to unlock or power off.  I did somehow get to the passcode screen but it didn't let me enter anything.  I have also tried on a pc through itunes but since I can't unlock it, it won't let me do that either.

  • My iphone 3gs is frozen and reset does not work.  What can I do?

Apple logo won't go away.  I have tried a reset (holding both buttons and restarting the phone) several times.  I don't get the screen to connect to itunes.  Just keeps going to the apple logo and won't go past that.

Steve, have you tried just going through the unlock form here?
    http://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/unlock-code-request/
That's what the moderator in several older threads in Vodaphone's forum said was all that is necessary. Carriers often won't unlock for anyone but the original account holder, so if you don't have the details of the company's account, that might be the barrier in which case there will not be any way to get the iPad officially unlocked.
    Good luck.

  • My iPhone 4S keeps turning itself off when I still have battery life and then it doesn't charge?

It's only just started doing this and it's really annoying me now!! Ha
I'll charge my phone up overnight then a couple of hours into the next day the battery wil be down to about 20% then it will say I only have 10% left even though I will have 20% if you see what I mean? And then to top it off it turns itself off and won't let me recharge!!
It did happen to my iPad the other week but that seems to be fine now.
I've tried changing and checking chargers etc but they seem to work it other people's and my iPad seems fine now

  • My Iphone 4S doesn't turn on after IOS 7 updates

    Hei guys,
I have an iphone 4S. Few days before the release of IOS7 I managed to download the beta version to my iphone. Everything was going fine until the first update of IOS7. It shuted up completelly. I manage to make it alive again, but today, it got ran out of battery and now I can't turn it on any more. I tried quite a few things. My Itunes recognizes the iphone when I plug it onto my computer, however, everytime I press the hold buttom, it doens't turn on. I've tried holding home and hold buttom as well, but everything I have is a weird screen with a big sort of finger print white in the middle of a black screen.
Do you guys know what I can do in order to solve the problem? I've restored and resetted the iphone as well, but it insists in not turning on.
Thank you guys for your attention

  • Iphone 5 keeps turning off and having to be reset to turn on!

Hi I have a 7 month old iphone 5 that started to turn itself off, it did it once on one day and all I did was hold power and home button to reset it. After that it worked for a full 24 hours without turning off then I started doing it again. Now I cant leave it 2 mins without it turning off by itself and now when I reset it it sometimes gets stuck on the apple logo so sometimes it takes me 3 attempts to turn it on for it to turn off again in 2 mins!!
I have plugged into my computer and it has lasted longer but then after I've unplugged it again same thing happens. I haven't dropped it or anything like that it just started acting up - is this something I can resolve or is it a replacement?

  • My iPhone 4S just turned off for no reason and won't turn back on?

My iPhone 4S just died for no apparent reason and now it will not turn back on. It was at about 90% battery at the time because I had just recently charged it so I don't think it died because of low battery. I have tried plugging it into outlets and computers/iTunes and nothing seems to work. I also can't do the trick involving holding down the power and home button because my power button has been jammed for over a year now. My iPhone is about 2 years old and I have never had this problem before. Earlier today it died for no reason but when I plugged it in, it turned on with no problem.
Is there anything I can do about this? Also, I am due for a phone upgrade in about 3 weeks. I was planning on getting the 5S. Is there any way that I would be able to get the upgrade several weeks early if my phone is broken?

  • Iphone 5 wont turn on, charge or connect to itunes

My daughters iphone 5 is about 18 months old, she's recently had problems with the battery draining from 100% - 0% in a matter of a couple of hours even when not in use. Last week the battery drained and wouldn't charge, i tried everything i could think of and some things i found on the net. Yesterday i took it to a repair shop and they tested the battery, the battery was dead and he couldn't get it to charge. I decided to buy a new battery and hoped this fixed the problem. The phone charged as normal and everything was fine but today the phone died in a few hours and now wont charge again.
I've tried holding the home and power buttons for different amounts of time.
    I've toggled the volume buttons,
left on charge for over an hour in the wall
I've cleaned all the conections and found no dust or anything.
I just can't get it to do anything.
I've connected it to my laptop but i can't even get itunes to recognise the phone, it's now been conected for a couple of hours and nothing is happening.
I've tried different chargers but as the chargers work with my own phone it can't be a faulty cable.
Is therre anything else i can try?
