IPhone 4 doesn't wake up from the Sleep Mode

iPhone 4 32Gb doesn't wake up from the sleep mode. When the iPhone goes into the sleep mode, I can't wake it up with the 'Power' button, neither with the 'Home' button. The phone is working, I even can hear the sound of 'unblock' slider if u touch and slide the screen at the place where the 'unblock' slider suppose to be, but the screen remains black. I have to push the 'Home' or 'Power' buttons MAAAANY TIMES to make the screen appear finally. Sometimes I need to push it 30 or 40 times!!! Or I just have to reboot the phone to make it work. But right after it goes into the sleep mode, I can't wake it again But when the phone is connected to iTunes, the sleep mode is working good (one push on the button and the phone is awaken). I tried to upgrade to 5.01 but nothing have changed. Also I've tried to synchronize the phone as 'New', but no luck again, the problem is still on the case. What I have to do? Do someone have the same problem? In Russia we have no official Apple Stores and my iPhone 4 is from Malaysia. So I can't just go to the Apple office and replace the phone. What can I do?

No, I don't have a case only a protective membrane on the screen... and I've tried to reset the iPhone by holding the 'Power' and 'Home' buttons with no result. After this reset the phone is working normally sometimes for about ten minutes (wakes up after one push), but then it's all repeats. And I repeat, that if I connect the iPhone to the PC with the USB-cable, the sleep mode is working fine, just like it should (I can wake the phone with one button push).

  • HP laptop does not wake up from the sleep mode! Urgent help needed!

    Hi everyone,
I have purchased HP Pavilion DM4 laptop 3 months ago, for the past month when the laptop goes in the sleep mode ( after being idle for several minutes) and I then try to wake up by hitting any key, even power button, nothing happens. Power light keeps beeping but nothing happens. I have to pull battery and restart the laptop, this is extremly painful as I keep loosing my unsaved documents all the time.
This happens once in every 2 tries. I would really appreciate a help!

Would like to use an alarm clock.  I need the alarm clock to function from the sleep mode.  A review said that MAC products will not allow a program to wake up a Mac.  Is this correct ?  Are there any products in the Mac store what will function from the sleep mode ?  How do I check this out ?

You can set times for your computer to turn on or wake from sleep in the Energy Saver system preference pane using the Schedule... button.

  • My imac takes about eight minutes to be fully functional after a cold start or from the sleep mode. The hard drive sounds like it has to go through a number of gyrations before being fully loaded. When I first bought the imac start up was much faster

My Imac takes about 8 minutes to be fully functional after a restart or awakened from the sleep mode. I can hear the hard drive making a number of gyrations before it's ready to let me do stuff. This is a 5 year old machine and was much faster in the beginning. Any suggestions?

Impossible to say however it may need more RAM, or if you have been turning it off every day it isn't given the opportunity to run it's daily, weekly and monthly maintenance. This is all done in the background in the middle of the night. I would recommend following the steps in 25 Ways to Speed Up Your Mac until you find the cause of your slowdown.

  • Nano 6G does not wake up from the sleep timer in the same audiobook/track

My Nano 5G sleep timer will shutdown at the specified time and when I wake it, the Nano will be at the same track and position of my audiobook.
However, my Nano 6G will wake up in a random song as if it shuffled after the shutdown. I test by setting the sleep timer to one minute and play a book.
Is there a setting I have missed? I use ITunes to set the option to remember the position. This happens to my Audible.com books and my MP3 books.
I have Shake to Shuffle OFF. I have done a full firmware restore.

  • IMac doesn't wake up from screensaver/sleep...

For some reason, after a recent HDD replacement and reinstall, my iMac won't give me my password prompt when I try to wake it from sleep (after it shows the screensaver, and then powersaver turns the display off).
So the display is off, I hit the keyboard, and all I can see is my mouse cursor, and after about 5 seconds, a spinning beach ball....it NEVER brings me to my password dialogue box, and I have to turn it off and on again...
Any ideas? My screensaver is the word/dictionary one built into Leopard...

Maybe something in this article will help.

  • C310 Does not wake up from Energy Sleep mode

Printer wont wake up from Sleep mode. I have to unplug the printer from the electrical plug. Then it connects Wireless to my network. This Piece of {Content Removed: Language Filter Evasion} is about to find its way back to the store and I'm going to look at another brand. I have had HP for quite some time. I need Help and don't tell me to call Support unless you can give me someone in AMERICA that speaks english fluently

Me too, I have had the same problem.  Numerous hours spent on the phone with HP Support.  Tried sequence to get into special support mode but it didn't work.  This is my second C310 that has had this problem.  I returned my original new one that I bought on HP's shopper site when support determined it was bad.  It had the same issue.  The last call I made to support they told me just ot wait for new firmware that is supposed to fix this.  The do not have any idea when this firmware might be ready.  They said just to wait.  I have used only HP printers for over 15 years because I believed they were the best printers.  I have told several customers, friends, etc to buy only HP printerst, that they were the best.  Not so sure I will think that anymore now.  We'll see if we ever get that firmware and it works how I feel about HP printers.  I really hope it works out but I am tired of waiting.

  • My iPhone 6 doesn't get imessage notifications in sleep mode

I'm having this issue since I bought my iPhone 6 last November 2014. I don't get notifications when someone sends me an imessage, unless I wake the phone up, then the imessage will suddenly appear. Like 'iMessage from someone, 40mins ago'. I'm on wifi btw. It's really annoying. I'm on iOS 8.2. Please help. I've tried resetting the network settings but it did not fix the problem. Thanks.

I Had the same problem with my IPhone 6. It took me a little while to figure it out. I went through all the settings over and over again thinking maybe I was missing something. i even reset all setting, called sprint and followed their advice. I followed most of the suggestions I found online. Nothing seemed to help. Finally just out of curiosity I turned off my LTE now everything works fine. A let it rest a day, then enabled LTE again. And calls quit coming through. It seems on my end to be a network problem or firmware problem. But my phone works good in 3G mode only.

My mac won't wake up from a sleep and I have to unplug it to reboot as the power button doesn't function as well.  Any suggestions?  Running Lion 10.7.4 and sending all reports in to Apple.

    First things first:
Update your profile (equipent, OSX, etc)
In Lion MS office2004 is not compatible, are you stIll using it?
Do the SMC RESET and do the PRAM reset.

  • IPhone 5 won't wake up from sleep/standby!!

Hello, I am having a really strange problem with my iphone 5 for last 3-4 months. Sometime when i want to use my iphone from standby/sleep mode it dosent do anything! sleep/wake button, home button even silent/sound button dosent work. I know the silent/sound button dosen't work cause normally it vibrate when I turn it on. So the problem is my phone wont wake up from sleep/standby mode. The screen stays black and nothing works. If i press the home button and power button for 10-15 time very quickly, then it takes a screen shot and wakes up!! Sometime it stays in this stage for 5-10min.
So here is what i did to solve the problem.
    1. I restore the phone from phone and ituens.
    2. I delete all icloud backup and started as a new phone
    3. I went to apple store and replace the phone with a new one!!
    4. I jailbreak it at last to see if it solve the problem!
    5. turn off the icloud to see if it works
And sadly nothing of all this solved my problem! Now im not sure any specific app causing the problem but it almost impossible to find it out. So if anyone have any similar problem or any suggestion to solve it, then it will be really helpful.

    Hi All,
I hope I don't jinx it by posting this.  Yesterday I changed two of my settings and the issue has not occured again.
I changed the carriers settings and the LTE settings.
I went into "Settings" - then went into "Carrier" - Then I switched the "Automatic" to "OFF" I waited for the the carrier to show up (in my case Vodafone), then selected "vodafone au" manually.
Then I went into "Settings" - Then went into "General" - then I switched OFF the "Enable LTE" option (In my case I have switched this option OFF as I have not been sent the message to advise that I now have 4G service. According to Vodafone support, Not all vodafone customers have 4G only a selected 40 thousand customers accross Australia, I think all customers will have 4G around mid July )
Once this is done, I switched the phone off, Waited around a minute and then switched the phone back on.
I will update in a week if the problem doesn't happen.

  • Hi guys,my iphon 4 doesn't play most of the

    Hi guys!
My iphone 4 doesn't play most of the music what are in the music library on the pc,what is syncronized by iTunes.this problem came with iOS 5.,but previously the phone had different other issues,so it has never worked as it promised by Apple.I have tryed every solution what I saw on the communiti forums, but nothing works permanently, the solutions are only temporary.I went many times to the Apple store to fix the problems but they could not solve the problems. They gave me a replacement handset, which solved the fast battery drain issue,so the hardware seems OK!!!! To be an iphone owner is a struggeling, I always recive different bugs from Apple, like other iphone users. This behaving made the Apple different fom the others,as they wanted.Job done! That is why I ended up at Nokia N8,because it plays every single tune what are in same music library what used by iTunes, no lugs,no skips, no mess up,it has FM radio, free sat-nav,12Mp brilliant camera, working bluethoot,no need online connection for everithing! I find the solution for the iphone problems, this way my iphone turned to a secondary phone,I will use as an emergency phone ,this is not a smartphone!

Got it replaced last week. Turns out the dock was defective.

  • When I take a picture on my iPhone or try to save one from the internet, it acts like it takes it, but when I go to my Photo Album, it isn't there. What do I do?

Lately, when I take a picture with my iPhone or try to save one from the internet, it acts like it saves it, but when I go to my Photo Album, it doesn't show up. Also, if I try to take a picture through an app, the app just crashes. What do I do to fix this?

It definitely shouldn't be that slow, are you using the stock camera?  what mode are you using it in?  what other settings do you have setup? try downloading another camera like "a better camera" or any other free one and see if it behaves the same.  If it does that tells me that either the lens is really dirty or the hardware may have an issue.  Make sure the lens is clean then try either a restart or power down and battery pull and see if that solves anything.

  • MacBook Pro doesn't wake up from sleep mode

My MacBook Pro (late 2011) with OS Mavericks doesn't wake up from sleep mode anymore. Battery is fully charged and the cable is plugged in. I can still hear the ventilator running, but that's all. I never had any problems, but since about 2 weeks this problem occurs. It usually then woke up after 10-15min, but now nothing happened since 4 hours.
Is there anyone who could possible help me? Unfortunately there is no Apple Store in my area where I could go to.

    Step 1
Take all the applicable steps in this support article. That's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. Please read the whole article carefully (some of it is hidden by disclosure triangles) and don't skip any of the steps, including the ones under the heading "Additional troubleshooting." If you don't understand any of the steps, ask for guidance.
    Step 2
If you're running OS X 10.8.5 or earlier, from the menu bar select
               ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Accessibility
If the checkbox at the bottom marked
              Enable access for assistive devices
is checked, uncheck it and test.
If you're running OS X 10.9 or later, select
               ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Security & Privacy ▹ Privacy ▹ Accessibility
If any applications are listed on the right and have a checked box next to them, uncheck all the boxes and test. You may first have to click the padlock icon in the lower left corner of the window and authenticate as an administrator to unlock the settings.
    Step 3
In the Energy Saver pane of System Preferences, uncheck the box marked
Put hard disks to sleep when possible
    Step 4
This and the next step must be taken as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that heading, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You may see one or more reports with a name that begins with "Sleep Wake Failure" followed by a date. Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
    Step 5
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ Diagnostic and Usage Messages
In the search box in the window's toolbar, enter "powerd" (without the quotes.)
You may see one or more lines like this:
    com.apple.message.signature: Platform Failure
If you do see that, and you did everything in the preceeding steps, then you're dealing with an internal hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
