Iphone 4 fail?

ive had my iphone since launch day and have been very pleased with it, but today, i was reading an email, the battery was right around 75%, and the screen went black. i tried the usual, clicking the wake button, after that didnt work, held it in as if i were to power up the device, still nothing. tried plugging it in to both my wall outlet and computer, still nothing....... has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know how to correct it

Hello. I was like this yesterday after upgrading 5.1.1. The proccess failed and the iphone only showed the USB cable with the iTunes logo.
What I did was connect the iphone to my wife's PC, and there, with a clean itunes installation, install a clean 5.1.1. Then, went back to my iMac and connect it again, and now it works.
But now, with my iphone working as new, it still cannot be showed up in itunes. I am still working on it.

Hi, so i have never had issues with my iphone before (3gs), i have up to date software, both on phone and itunes, and all of the sudden my phone will not update my music and itunes says copying the disk "jess sweeney" iphone failed. could not be read or written. I am not sure what to do, if anyone has any insight i would truly appreciate.

We have a few users with iphones who are getting automatically generated emails when trying to sync their calendars where they have recurring appointments.
The message itself is as follows:
Synchronization with your iPhone failed for 1 items.
Microsoft Exchange was unable to send the following items to your mobile device. These items have not been deleted. You should be able to access them using either Outlook or Outlook Web Access.
Item Folder: Calendar
Item Type: IPM.Appointment
Item Created: 22/09/2010 2:50:41 AM
Item Subject: Weekly Meeting

Here are some more details:
We are on Exchange 2007
The issue appears to be with recurring meetings
It is only happening for some users, not all
Mail, contacts, non recurring meetings, etc sync normally

Not sure if people are still looking at this post, but we did finally find a fix for the issue.
In the end we figured out that one of our exchange mail box users had something faulty in their profile. By "faulty", our exchange admins attempted to move the user's mail profile from one mail store to another, but exchange returned errors when attempting to do so.
In order to "fix" the issue we ended up deleting the mail profile completely from exchange and then recreating it from scratch - scary prospect when having to do this with someone high up the food chain... (prior export and reimport essential otherwise all data is lost)
(the user dealt with many meetings for multiple staff, and was a common factor between all users getting the issue)
I wouldn't call this specifically a MS issue as prior to ipad/iphones, these issues did not occur, and even while it was occuring, turning off mail on ipad/iphones meant the issue did not occur and other email clients had no issues at all
- so it looks like something in the iphone is not quite robust enough to be able to handle a few errors
(alternative theory: perhaps it is the iphone that created the issue in the first place??? We don't know when the issue with the actual mail account started and not enough resources to trowel through log files looking for a needle in a haystack)
Anyway, not sure if this will help everyone with the same issue, but thought I'd share our experience

Synchronization calender - itunes - iphone failed

Hello everybody,
since I use itunes 11.0.2 it is not possible to sync my calender(s) from my macbook with my iphone. I tried to use other calenders, try to sync with icloud, tried everything which I think is possible. But always with the same result: The dates from the macbook weren't transferd to th iphone during the synchronization. Is here anybody in the community who has an idea how I could solve this problem? For me it is mandatory that the calenders on both devices are the same.
Please, if one has got an answer please post it here!

Wifi connection to iphone fails after replacing sim card

the sim card on my iphone failed and had to be replaced. the phone works fine now EXCEPT cannot get wifi from verizon Actiontec router: says Incorrect Password. other devices (iPad, Kindle) still connect OK. please help.

Not sure if the sim card is envolved with the WIFI connections, But maybe it is.
Try deleting the connection and redefining it.

updated my iphone 5 and iPad 3 to iOS 8, when I try to call from the iPad using the iPhone, I get "call using iPhone failed"

I had this problem between my Mac and iPhone 5s. What is weirder is that I could place a call with the Mac, just not accept one. Reading through some of the docs, I noticed that it said "… same Wi-Fi network."
Now, when my Mac is on my desk, it is using a network cable connected to the same Airport base station as the Wi-Fi my iPhone uses. On a hunch I unplugged the network cable, using only the Wi-Fi on my Mac and it worked immediately.
So, make sure you are on the exact same Wi-Fi network (Not just that they are on the same base station — I have two setup on my Airport Extreme, one 2.4Ghz and one 5Ghz to keep older and newer devices separate [yes, it makes a huge speed difference]), ANDmake sure your Mac (if you are using one) is not using a wired connection.

IPhone fails receiving calls and text messages

Hi everyone, here is my problem.
I have an iPhone 4 32GB. It was on iOs 5.1 (always worked perfectly) untill few days ago I have upgraded to iOs 7.1.
The problem after the upgrade is that phone calls or sms messages fails to be received. Strange thing is I can receive at times calls from cellphones, but I don't receive calls from land line numbers. And text messages arrive all at once after hours.
I have restored the phone in DFU mode twice, set up as new phone , tried a hard reset, network reset... nothing worked. It still fails to receive phone calls and sms messages.
Before you ask, the "don't disturb" is disabled.
I live in Italy and have a contract with TIM, i spoke with their cistomer service and according to them there's nothing more i can do on my end.
Any idea?

Transfer photos to iphone fails - only half of the photos transfer

iTunes fails to transfer all photos (13,000 or so). Only 6,557 transfer. Some albums are also missing. There is plenty (13 GB) of free space on the iPhone (3GS). Retrying and various Resets make no difference.

Typically it should be done like the example below
Main Folder - "Pictures" or whatever you want to call the Main folder
Subfolders - "Album Name Here" There can be an unlimited amount of Sub folders in the main folder, But I do not advise creating subfolders inside a subfolder.
Simply create subfolders like Wedding, Party, Graduation, 2007 New Years Party. Things like that.
So recap. 1 Main Folder you tell iTunes where to look, Then select, Sync Selected Albums. And put a check mark in each Album aka Subfolder you want to sync. Again keep in mind. Do not create another subfolder in a subfolder if possible.

Iphone failing to restore

Hi,
I have just updated to IOs 7 , prior to doing this i created a back up, and this back up shows up on i tunes. During the update to IOS7 my phone went onto recovery mode and is now at factory settings with none of my info or photos on its IOS7.
I have tried to restore through itunes, but its says "Itunes could not restore the iphone, because the back up could not be saved on this computer"
Im not trying to save, im trying to restore from a successful restore point??

I tried turning off my Airport Extreme router for about five minutes earlier today. No luck: restore from iCloud failed after an hour and a half with the message that the iPhone was not connected to the internet. I also tried to connect the ADSL modem directly to my MacBook Air, sharing its internet connection over wifi my my iPhone 4S with the exact same result.

I have an avi file that was created on my Canon camera. When I go to QT and try to export it to iPhone I get the following error "Failed: Export process terminated unexpectedly (11). Any ideas?

YYou probably have to connect your iPhone to a computer running itunes and restore the phone.

IPhone Fails To Sync (iOS 5.1.1)

Does its normal thing when I plug it into computer, brings up iTunes, Sync begins, and then it stalls at step one. Message says the sync session failed to start. I have tried restarting the phone, restarting iTunes, restarting computer. There is plenty of space on the phone, both phone and iTunes are up to date. This has happened ten times in a row. Help!
