Iphone 4 getting extremely hot, not holding charge and Camera freezing entire phone.... HELP?
My Iphone 4 is 5 months old and is getting extremely hot to the point where you can barely hold it or have it in your pocket
The battery does not last for longer than a 2 or 3 hours and the camera causes the entire phone to freeze
I have already restored original settings with no luck and tried the hard reset
Any suggestions?
Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store.
If none are close to you call AppleCare and arrange to have it serviced.

I've been told that the iphone 4 is having problems with the processor and that it will soon die and there is no way to repair it. I got my phone in CR through Kolbi / ICE which guarantees it only for a year. Belkis YoungBasic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, take the device to Apple or the Apple Authorized Service Center in the country where the device was originally sold. The warranty is not International.
All iPhones come with a one year warranty when sold as new. -

If they determine that your iphone is defective, then they will replace it.
Have you tried basics? restart, reset, restore. -
My 1-year ipod nano locked up and would not start overnight. The on/off button will not work and stopped holding charge. No water damage, no fall, nothing unusual. I restored it (twice) but it will still not hold charge and on/off does not work. I tried to restore it again and charged it in three different locations with different cables. etc but nothing. Suggestions?
- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.
- If no, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

its been like a week that i bought new iphone 5s but whenever i play games or talk in skype for an hour my iphone get extremly hot... idk why?
Why? Because it is working the processors hard. Same as when you work or exercise, your body gets hot, so does the iPhone when it is working. Skype and many games will tax the processors more so than browsing the internet, sending texts or email. So, it gets hot. If it doesn't cool off fairly quickly after you quit Skype or playing your game, or it gets hot when doing less taxing activities, then you might want to have it checked out.

Sounds like a hardware problem. Take it to the nearest Apple Store.

My new Iphone's battery does not hold charge for long; do you have the same problem?
Greetings, I had a new iphone 4S - bought March 2013, died suddenly September 2013. Iphone replaced by a new one, which seemed to work fine. Suddenly, noticed three days ago that the battery does not hold, even for one day, even with very little use. Charged battery yesterday morning, as it was dead, used phone a few times during the day, still had half batery full at bed time; this morning there was no battery at all - had discharged completely overnight doing nothing. Has anyone had this problem?
It means that I will have to travel a long way to the nearest store to have it looked at. Had already done this last September to replace a dead phone. One would have expected better quality and reliability from a Company like Apple.Sounds like the battery needs replacing. Bring the phone to Apple for battery diagnostics.

Very very short battery life - will not hold charge on new ipad mini retina, HELP
My iPad mini retina OS7 will not hold it's battery charge. I have turned off Location services, do not have apps running in multitude task mode and do not have Bluetooth on. I close all aps and the smart case and come back in an hour and find charge will still have gone down 10 to 30%

Iphone 4G gets extremely hot while in use
Hi,I have been using iphone 3G for quite sometime now and recently bought myself an iphone 4G. We very Happy/excited about its appearance and added features, APPLE HAS DONE A WONDERFUL JOB AGAIN!!.
As i am using my new iphone,I am put off a with few problems i.e,I started to experience that my iphone gets extremely hot while using different applications and never experienced that with my 3G and with my friends 4G iphone using at present. My iphone 4G gets extremely hot while;
1. taking a call
2. using any an applications for example; using camera,accessing SAFRI, Skype and even text messaging. Any application that i use the phone starts heating up from the right side of my phone facing towards me and it keeps getting warmer and warmer and eventually the complete back of the phone.
3. charging it gets very hot.
Last but not the least, while taking a call next to my ear its sensors sometime manual functions and it mutes or opens an other application during the call... which is very annoying
I believe that my iphone 4G will not operate for long with this over heating issue and it will seriously damage the circuits inside the phone eventually.
I am trying to take an appointment with Apple in London and would like to have a replacement and at the same time would like to request Apple to investigate this phone, avoid these issues for future iphone production. Thank you

Also as per the packaging it's the Apple iPhone 4, not 4G. The "4" identifies it as the fourth model in the iPhone series. The cellular chip used in the iPhone 4 supports HSPA/UMTS (3G) not 4G. -
Battery shows charging but stuck on 28% and does not hold charge
i am using HP DV6-6107tx, i got a new extended battery from anker which seemed to be running fine untill it discharged while i was playing watch dogs.
now my laptop wouldn't power on just on the battery, everything works fine if it is on charging, but the battery does not hold charge and my system powers off immediately on removing AC adapter. the battery shows "28% Charging" but does not increase or decrease the percentage even after hours of charging both while system is on and off.
i checked the battery in battery test from HP Support Assistant and it says that the battery status is ok, now i have tried the below methods with no luck :
power off and press power button methods.
uninstall and reinstall battery from device manager methods.
battery check from HP Assistant.
updating Bios to F.1b method.
updating the HP Support Assistant.
and all the other methods i could think of or read on HP's site.
can anyone guide me as to what is the issue here ? i don't have another machine to test my battery on, the charging lights are fine except that the light does not change color which it did on full charging the battery. i did try on 2 different adapters.
now if it were a motherboard or IC issue, would it not have said 'not charging' in windows ? in my case it says charging.

That you for provided such a detailed post with what you've already completed, for the issue with your battery. I will try to guide you further.
I would like to provide you further documents for troubleshooting, but you've essentially completed what I have for this issue. The only step left, would be to test the battery.
You can do this with another battery, or in another notebook. I know you mention another machine, but if you know someone who does or someone who has a compatible battery. This would test that. You could even see if a local computer shop could test it.
The reason for this, is if the battery is the problem, it's much easier and more affordable replacement. Also, you mention it being new, might have warranty.
The other possible cause to the issue you've touched on, that would be the system board. Testing the above, would just confirm if this is the problem or not. From there you could decide on what you'd like to do.
I know, there really aren't many suggestions here, but I hope this can provide you with the next step.
Let me know how things go, with the route you choose to troubleshoot.

My iPhone 5 is getting extremely hot, especially when it is charging! It was gets hot when my battery starts getting low. My batteries is also not lasting nearly as long as it used to! It last at max 4 hours if I'm lucky! I don't low what I should do!
Hello landry morgan. Just shared. Turn your brightness to auto. If you just buy this phone. Let the battery totally drain couple of time and fully charge again. It will became great after that.my phone take 2 days to totally drain.awsome. If your location to far away from network transmitter it will became little bit hot at the battery.if you very near to wifi you will feel your iphone5 it surf like a ferrari + no heat at all. P/n; dont look at pecentage of your battery. Just take note how many hour until its totally drain.

i wont charge at all, the ipod acknowledges the power source, battery pic comes up with the lightneing bolt, and a small bit red in the battery pic.

The mdnsresponder will not quit. Consumes above 100% CPU and kills my battery. Also causes my fan to run constantly and my computer to get extremely hot. Force quitting doesn't work. It just comes back. I posted about this earlier and never got an answer. Somebody, please help.
Thanks.mDNSResponder is a background process that runs all the time. If you kill it, it's relaunched automatically.
Please launch the Console application and select "system.log" from the file list. Enter "mDNSResponder" (without the quotes) in the search field. Post a sample of the log messages in the Console window -- only one example of each repeated message, please. -
I upgraded to iOS 5 on my iphone 3gs now phone service (AT&T) constanly goes in and out and battery does not hold charge. Can someone help me?
It appears to be a bug in iOS5. I have the same problem on the 3Gs and my new 4S.
