Iphone 4 hangs upon updating ois 4.3 from itune!! urgent guys!!!

hi guys pls help! after i downloaded the os 4.3 to my itune it suppose to update my iphone 4.. now that the phone hang half-way during updating(on the apple icon)what should i do. i dont dare to pluck out the connectors.. i-tune cant be close, iphone cant be off on the off buttons! urgents guys.
i haven come into the timer where it tells me the time needed for updating.! help

I downloaded to my PC first, then attempted to upgrade. My phone AND iTunes are hung, indicating different amount of progress. iTunes shows the bar at about 90% full, my phone has the bar at about 10%.
NOW WHAT?!?? Do I disconnect and trash the phone entirely????? This isn't acceptable!

The itunes setup on the macpro was completely with the download of all music from a previous external backup and the creation of new playlist - on the first sync with existing phone it did ask to overwrite all phone itunes data with macpro itunes data which i did accept - no different result - no changes on phone.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the problem continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

You need to upgrade to the next OS 10.6 Snow Leopard by purchasing the DVD online.

- to update to 10.6.8

I recently got an iphone 5S and my songs not purchased from iTunes are grayed out (phone only) and are skipped past when playing them through my iPhone. i have tried the following:
1) Removing all music from phone and resynced to iTunes PC library.
2) Erased phone and restored from back up
3) Erased phone and started as a new iPhone
4) Reformated the music files in my library that weren't playing
5) Deleted songs from iPhone and computer and re-imported CDs
6) Tried to redownload my COMPLETE MUSIC LIBRARY from iCloud.
7) I have also turned it off and turned it back on several times
8) I tried syncing through my macbook (only moved partial songs to it to see if it would even work).
9) I have tried to get Siri to play them, did not work.
10) All music does play fine on my iPod Touch 3rd (iOS6 i think) gen and iTunes on Mac and PC
11) I added a CD to my roommates iTunes and it plays on their iPhone 5S but not mine.
After all of these things it is now WORSE!!! My iTunes purchased songs are now experiencing the same issue along with some (not all) of the original music files that were skipping and grayed out. My conclusion is i have no clue at this point! I have done everything i have found online in EVERY discussion, i have spent over 60 hours trying to get this to work and i am asking myself, i bought this product why am having to fix this when it worked just fine on my iPod touch (3rd Gen) and iPod Classic!!!! PLEASE APPLE FIX THIS ISSUE FOR US!!!!

I had this problem too after i upgdatd to OS X Mavericks... only the songs on my iphone 5s that i purchased from itunes would play.
i read something about it being a syncing issue. when you plug your phone into your computer with the usb cable, the person said to switch from automatic syncing of itunes to the "manual" option. mine was already set to manual so i wasn't sure anything would work. BUT, when i plugged my phone into my computer, it started to sync all of my music on my phone again (top of itunes bar where song playing/time is listed said "now syncing 123/534 songs to x's iphone"). once that was completed, i checked the music app on my iphone and everything was back to normal!
so, i would suggest setting your music syncing settings to manual if you haven't tried that yet!

I hope this post helps my fellow iPhone owners avoid the frustration that I experienced last night. My iPhone was acting up, not charging even when it was seen by the USB 2 port on my Powerbook G5 and not being seen in the latest version of iTunes. I did the not destructive to your data Reset and the iPhone started charging and was seen in iTunes. The problem started when iTunes told me that my software was out of date and would I like to install iPhone software version 1.1.2, which I had already installed. I said OK but a few minutes after the download of the "new" software started, the iPhone screen displayed the iTunes disk-with-musical-note logo with an image of the power/data connecting jack that comes with your iPhone and the phone locked up totally! I was then confronted with a screen saying that iTunes had detected an iPhone in Restore mode, which destroys ALL your data on your iPhone, and that I would have to Restore the iPhone before iTunes could connect to it!!!! I became furious, both at myself for not having backed up everything on my iPhone recently, and at Apple for making such a buggy product/software that didn't do what it was supposed to either, but in the end I bit the bullet and pushed the restore button. To my horror, iTunes wouldn't even Restore my iPhone! I got the "Unexpected Error (1604)" message! I assume that whatever bug caused the iPhone software update to screw up on its way from iTunes was either in the iPhone or iTunes and maybe the hang had produced iTunes' inability to do the update. So I downloaded a pristine copy of iTunes on my SONY VAIO PC and the Restore worked!!! If you don't have an extra computer that doesn't have iTunes on it and you have this problem then I would suggest backing up all your iTunes stuff according to Apple's instructions, trashing iTunes, and then reinstalling a pristine copy of the latest version. You won't get your iPhone's information back, but at least you'll be able to make a call.

Google basically told me that its a bad connection to the computer. Everyone suggests to try a different cable and different usb port. I tryed all that. Nothing wants to work for me. Other people suggest taking it back to apple, but my phone is out of warranty.

Iphone 4 wont restore or back up from itunes properly?

i tried to up date my iphone 4 but crashed so had to restore it, so i backed it up from itunes but when its finished it reconects to itunes but only stays on the summary page and gives me a choice of restore to factory settings, or restore from last back up, which ive done now 4 times. i cant transfer from itunes to iphone like music, but managed to keep contacts and pics. any idea how to get off the summary page and put music on? or will i have to restore to factory settings and start again?

theres the article to uninstall itunes properly. follow the step 1 completely and then reinstall itunes.
if that doesnt work then the problem is either antivirus on ur pc or its ur phone.
