IPhone 4 Hard Case\Shield Options & Opinion????

Hi guys,
Ok, recently I've been seeing some of the BlackBerry holders using some kind of a neat colorful hard covers for their BB's, covering the back and snapping on the sides only, WITHOUT covering the front at all...
I've been trying to find some for my iPhone 4 but I couldn't find anything like that, I found a lot that covers the front, but I don't want that, I am looking for a back cover that's slim, and snap on the sides and maybe the top and that's all, with a collection of different colors as well...
any idea about some?? opinions?? choices?? if some are using any?? or can just advise about some!!??
Thank you so much Guys

paulcb, I saw the Incipio ones, they are nice but the colors are kinda DULL, I think that's what i am looking for, that kind of case, that's slim and snap on the sides ONLY without anything on the front, just to give the back a color
0Jojo0 Thanks a lot, but I am actually looking for a hard case\shield\cover, not a protective sheet, I already have "Clear Coat" installed
darkfire.shadows, Thanks bro, they have a very nice collection, I like that, but it gives some kind of a bulk to the phone, from the pictures, i don't think they are slim\thin enough great colors!!

  • Docking an iphone with a hard case

Does anyone make an extension cable for docking an iphone without removing your hard case every night? Or an adapter of some sort to plug onto your dock, and allowing your iphone to dock onto the adapter while still keeping a hard case on the phone?

I got the Splash Alpha II, check it out.

So I put on my deflector case, and now I can't get it off at all. I've tried using  a card, using my fingernails (which are destroyed now) and they don't seem to work. Can someone please give me some suggestions on removing this hard case?
    Thank you!!

Have you contacted the case mfg.?

  • Rubber cases vs Hard Cases

I've had both the Incase Slider and the Incase Protective cover. I returned both after a while.
Incase Protective Cover - stretch at the bottom, but good feel
Incase Slider - doesn't stretch but will crack when dropped unlike the rubber case
So rubber cases don't crack and hard cases don't stretch. I used to think hard cases were better until I realized that they scratch the phone and crack when dropped on impact.
Can anyone recommend any rubber cases that don't stretch? Also, I was disappointed with the Power Support Air jacket that I just trashed it. I threw away the screen protectors too because I could never get air bubbles off. Also, the invisible shield started to crack.

I went to Apple looking for the Speck CandyShell but they were sold out. Instead, I re-bought the Incase Slider (gray this time) and I love it. I also bought a screen protector to go with it.
I'm gonna say I love this case. I should never have returned it in the first place and wasted $35 on the Power Support Air Jacket.
Ah well, this will be my main case from now on and I highly recommend it. I even got a screen protector (some default one at the mall) and it works nice. Though it is noticeable in light, it actually feels better than my old Invisible Shield. It's not bulky like the IS and I can slide my fingers on the screen as if I didn't have any screen protector on at all.
So I actually do prefer cases because the iPhone 3G has a plastic back this time, which is more fragile than the original iPhone.
If it was the original iPhone, I'd just buy a sleeve/pouch. This is just my opinion. So the $17 pouch I bought from Best Buy will sit in my box unused from now on.

  • I Was Told About an iPhone 4s Case that Really...

In an Apple Forum I posted about a protective but not limiting case since I have trouble with dropping, hitting, etc. expensive things like large phones. Someone told me about a case, said he was thinking about getting one, did not sound too excieted about it, but I saw it at Best Buy and after looking for a year for a practical, case I could tell that this one was going to do what I needed in a case.  In this group of cases one really stood out but if it helps there was one that was like a holster.  I have got a major problem when I am carrying something like an expensive phone, laptop, etc. I drop them (my first MBP, it had to go back to Apple because I cracked the display costing me an additional $1000 just from jitting it by accident against the wall)  I wish I could remember the name of this case.  I came here hoping someone would say it because I was so excieted when I saw it, like I said after looking for a year, I could tell that this one was going to help me out a lot save the phone from being ruined after the first week. Yea Otter is OK but it seems like it would collect more dirt than anything else, this one just really felt to me that it would allow me to not have the iphone destroyed in a month.
It was not fancy, but so practical.  Anyway, I will see if someone says the name of it.
I am looking to get a new iPhone 4S (guess why?) and my contract at Verizon was up a year ago. I see that ATT advertises that only AT&T's Network let's your iPhone 4S download 3 times faster?  Is this true?
A friend of mine sent me some emails from his iPhone 4S and his email adress was his phone number.  Is this an app or does the iPhone 4S allow you to send emails and get your emails without an additional app?
Still not sure what carrier is the best.  I know I sound like I am all set but then I hear from someone and they make a good point.
Any idea if the next iPhone will be 4G?
thanks, I am just looking for some assist. in the areas I just have no idea on like what plan.  How does one decide what plan. Is the mobile hot spot one can make the iPhone 4S due allow one to surf on their MBP while on a car trip or do you need another type of MIFI by Novetel for that?

Which lifeproof case did you get?  Does it look pro along with being super durable? I need one that I can take into meetings and leave it out on the desk along with it being super durable like the ones on Ballistic Case Co.com.
Do you have invisibleshield or can't you use that with your case?  some of the durable cases have their own cover so they do not allow the invisible shield to be used.
Do you have a clip for your pants or to clip the case somewhere else?
I think why they don't get better ratings is not because they are super durable and take care of the iPhone  but because they are not the best looking case out there including ones like some on the Ballistic Case Co.com website.  I have heard people say that they look cheap, like a cheap plastic.  I actualy started this post awhile back and I forgot the name but one night it came to me.  I am still looking  for a case that has the durability like LifeProof but a tad better looking and more professional.  Hard to explain if you don't see that but that is why I have not purchased one yet is because I need a case like LifeProof but more professional looking lie the ones at BallisticCaseCo.com.  Speck makes a good looking, classy durable iPhone 5 case too.  I think it is Speck.

  • IPhone 5 Cases/ Bumpers

ok so im sure those of us sporting our fresh iPhone 5s have seen the articles showing how easily sratchable the new back is.
    http://modmyi.com/content/8852-black-iphone-5-anodized-aluminum-reportedly-prone -scratches.html
    terrifying, i know!
after seeing this i immediately jumped onto the apple store to get a bumper, only to find that apple dont actually sell any cases for their freshest product...
anyone else find this a bit strange? i mean they know that their customers are more than willing to splash out £15 on a case, so why not sell them?
anyway if any of you guys know good third party cases id be more than happy, amazon only offer some cheapy things and in my experience these always tend to have a loose fit..
    thanks!

    Minimal Max,
I too am in the same boat as you are mate. I pre-ordered my phone and my otterbox defender. The otterbox has not arrived but the phone has. Except the phone will NOT cme out of the box until the Otterbox is delivered! Hopefully tomorrow....with that said, there are two options I considered. The Otterbox Defender Series and the Life Proof iPhone 5 case. I went with the OB because of 1) I am a loyal OB Customer already. ( My iPhone 3GS has been a) run over my by ambulance. Phone was perfet. OB replaced the case for free. b) same iphone in OB case was left on top of my car. As I drove off I watched the frightful flight of my phone flying, then landing on the side of the road. Except I didn't know it was my phone. 8 hours later, I saw my phone on the side of the road. Intact! not a scratch and again OB replaced the case. So that is why c) I ordered the Defender Series again because of past perfrmance of the prodcut and customer service but most of all becaue it is AVAILABLE.
The downside to the OB Defender case was the 30 pin connector didn't fit non apple equipment and some 1/8 stereo jacks dont fit in it either, unless you take the case off.
I will take a very hard look at the Life Proof Case when it comes out. Truth be told if it was available at the same time the otter box was I would have spent the extra money and ordered the Life Proof Case. I like the fact it is waterproof, not resistant, waterproof case, a rugged waterproof case that can take a beatng. I have seen it first hand with friends and partners who have the Life Proof Case. I was skeptical about the "waterproof" claim...Well it is a great feature of the case. I have seen from these friends, underwater iPhone video. Yes they have taken snorkeling videos with their iPhone 4 and 4S with only the Life Proof Case in 15-20 feet of water.
Either way you are getting exactly what you are spending, $50 or $80 for IMHO, the best rugged protection on the market today for your iPhone 5. they are not the lightest or slimmest cases. They are, again IMHO, the best rugged protection out there today (or soon to be out there) iPhone 5 cases. Life Proof isn't delivering yet but you can sign up on their website for notification. Otter Box is out and selling. Good luck! You can't go wrong with either one!

  • I think I've found the best iPhone 3G case, What do you think?

Just wanted to post some feedback on my experience with the ivyskin Glass Touch-Thru Ultrathin iPhone 3G Case.
Yes I signed up just to write this review after being a perverse voyeur on these forums for awhile now, but I am no way affiliated with ivyskin. I recommend this case hands down, it has all that I was looking for in one. It's hard shell case with real glass touch screen built into the case. All ports are covered with a soft silicon so is the home button. The best part is that they'll be introducing a QuattroPac battery extension that fits into this case later next month.
Putting it on is simple but you need to be careful about the volume switch, you need to insert the iPhone into the case from that side as instructed on the manual because I didn't want to break anything or scratch my phone, anyway it is quite simple.
You should check this case out before you look at anything else, or after you look at all the cases to compare.

    Jean-Michel Massey wrote:
Is a few scratches on the back of the phone going to break it? Technology is there to be used not to pamper, do you guys have a silk pillow to let your phone rest upon at night...
No, but having slippery hands and accidentally dropping the iPhone will. A case will give you a much better grip and a lot better protection (if not 100%) should you ever drop the iPhone. I've seen people have iPhones without cases and dropping them accidentally only to have cracked their screens that they have to fork out more money to fix or replace them.
    Are you really that obtuse?

  • Unable to delete imported photos on iphone 3G - no trashcan option

I recently got an iphone 3G - 8GB model. I wanted to store some of my images located on my winXP notebook on the iphone, and figured as it uses iTunes to synch data and download mp3s etc, I simply dragged and dropped one of my notebook's photo folders onto the iphone icon listed on the left hand menu of itunes while the iphone was connected.
This copied the images and folder over - all 376 images. I wasnt sure if this was the correct way of getting images onto the iphone, but hey! it worked.
I later discovered some duplicate images in the folder on the iphone - they were dupes in the original folder that I forgot about - so figured I could delete the duplicate entries when viewing them on the phone, as some are large filesize.
However no trashcan symbol appears when viewing these imported jpegs, unlike the photos that were taken with the iphone which show the trashcan delete icon when viewing images in edit mode. seems a bit strange to let me copy the images on there, but not allow me to delete them same as the iphone camera roll pix.
The only other option in iTunes for editing photos is to synch photos, or delete the whole folder by unticking it and synching. Is there any other way to delete selected imported jpegs individually, as I dont need to delete the whole folder?
Or is there an appstore app that allows you to edit the contents of the iphone hard drive in situations like this?

hey guys, yes I added my mpeg files to itunes then used its built in iphone video converter.. it appeared to work until I synched the new converted videos into my iphone - on the iphone i get the visual video but no audio. Dammit!
I just tried using an evaluation version of 'Iphone Movie Converter' suggested by Andrew - that worked and when i imported those conversions, the video and audio is working fine on iphone. but of course i get the large 'evaluation only' watermark! guess I'm gonna have to spring $30 for the full app, but its annoying that the itunes converter sort of works but not getting audio.. an issue I've also read in other threads.
thanks for all your helpful suggestions!

  • Iphone 4 case scratch...

Hey guys I have been hearing stories from people that iphone 4 cases leave scratches on the exterior of the phone. I am thinking of buying a case because this would protect my phone in case I drop it. However, I am faced with this dilemma of whether I should because I dont wana scratch the phone either. What do you guys think about this? Do you guys have any suggestions on which case to get (like the rubber ones or the hard plastic ones) in order to prevent scratching?

I ordered ghost armor ( www.ghost-armor.com ). They have it available for Verizon iPhones. I ordered the full body case one. So the phone'll be protected even under the case. It's stronger and more resistant than InvisiShield.
    Also, here's a 10% discount promo code: GA4LAUP
    ;D
Other than that, I'm getting the Waddler Case (it looks like a penguin!) from www.case-mate.com . They're the only site I found (beyond Verizon and Apple) that actually have Verizon iPhone cases available. And they've got quite a variety too! Yay! =D

  • Keyboard Cover and Hard Case on Macbook Pro Retina

I have just heard that Apple suggests to remove palm rest protector on Macbook Pro Retina.
    Reference: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4384
    Now, my question is:
Is it ok to put keyboard cover and hard case on Macbook Pro Retina? Or will it affect the product just like the palm rest protector?
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply.
The keyboard protector that I got is Moshi's. They said it's extremely thin, will it be still a problem? Because as I compared with the palm rest protector, it's much thinner.
Here is the link for reference: http://store.apple.com/us/product/TV901LL/A/moshi-clearguard-keyboard-protector- for-aluminum-macbook-and-macbook-pro
And, the hard case that I mean is something like Kuzy sold in Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Kuzy-Crystal-15-4-Inch-MacBook-Display/dp/B008B09LRY/ref=s r_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1350354859&sr=8-4&keywords=kuzy+macbook+pro+retina)
Any further opinion on this issue?
    Thanks.

  • Iphone 4 case program

Just a quick question I ordered my free case and I see that it has shipped and they gave me a tracking number but it isn't showing up on the companies website does anyone know how long it usually takes for it to show up on their website?

I've had order confirmation but not a tracking number. Its says I should received it by 31/8/10.
I have already purchased 4 cases, although not genuine Apple, of various materials, rubber, hard case x 2 but different textures, and leatherette none of which changes anything.
As anyone any idea what the Apple cases is made out of. Actually, when I downloaded the application to order the bumper or case...because there was a list of various models, I am assuming they have tested all these with this iPhone 4 and they have proven to work... I have opted for the Belkin case - clear, so I hope I am right!
    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I do hope so!

  • HT4528 how can you recover deleted photos from the iPhone hard drive?

Is there anyway possible i can recover my deleted photos from my iphone hard drive for free?

You can't for two reasons: First, the iPhone doesn't have a hard drive. Second, there is no Trash folder, so once something is deleted it is gone forever. If you were foresighted enough to sync your phone regularly the photos should still be in the app you used for managing photos from digital cameras on your computer, and they are also in the iPhone backup on your computer. If you enabled Photo Stream they are also in iCloud. But if you didn't take advantage of any of these backup options you are out of luck.

  • Hard Case for MBA

Very keen on making my MBA purchase soon. However, I am one of those people who like to purchase all my protective accessories before purchase of the unit.
I am looking for a slim, hard case for the MBA that can be then used to slip into my bag. Something that will protect from bumps and scratches too (if possible).
Has anyone seen a product like this on the market?
    Thanks.

    This will work.

  • HT1414 There's no question IOS7 is advanced but the bright white back ground is a step backwards. It makes the iPhone harder to read.

There's no question IOS7 is advanced but the bright white back ground is a step backwards. It makes the iPhone harder to read.
In particular all photos or any slide show since the beginning of time have always had a black background. Not white. At the very least, the viewing of pictures should have a black back ground. I hope maybe you can introduce some gadgets or an upgrade that lets us choose something other than the bright white background. The accessibility option to inverse the video is awful. All your pics are negatives. I would hope you are hearing many similar comments and I look forward to an upgrade soon that gives us options to change that bright white.  If I could I would set my iPhone back to IOS6.
The new IOS also kills your battery no matter it seems how many location services and other apps you disable.

For some people. I find it easier to read.

  • Do unibody hard cases fit pre-aluminum macbooks?

I have an Incase hard shell for my 13" black macbook.  I bought my computer in November 2008, right after the aluminum laptops were introduced, so as to save money.  My hard case has held up nicely, but I just noticed that some of the holders (the things that hook to the top cover of the computer) have broken off so it's getting loose.  I am having a hard time finding any cases that are for this particular model (like...no luck at all).  Do the unibody cases fit my model?  Or does anybody know where I can get a good hard cover (preferably blue) for it?  I appreciate any help you can give me.  Thanks!

In my opinion, you should get a unibody MacBook or a pre-owned MacBook Pro. But if you are only considering a MacBook (and not a Pro/Air), I would say that, even though the latest MacBook model might be a polycarbonate one, the unibody is way more durable and looks a lot better. Regarding performance, you could always upgrade the hard disk and the RAM so that it's faster. I would reccomend upgrading to a 1 TB hard disk (from Samsung; theirs is really good) and 4 GB of RAM (from Strontium/Hynix/Samsung). That way, you would get a cheap MacBook that looks awesome and has good performance. Just check that there are no dents/scratches on your pre-owned MacBook. Good luck!
