IPhone 4 in store reservation - no email entered/received?

Hi iPhone 4 Fans,
So, I got through using an in-store reservation (preferred method anyway as I won't be home for FedEx). Clicked the iPhone 4 banner from the main page, the pre-order button, reserve-in store. Entered my AT&T info (phone number, billing zip, last 4) and got to the page "We'll see you at the store". An email address wasn't requested/didn't have a place to put one, but if I don't receive a confirmation, should I just assume they'll look my information up by phone number, etc. at the store?
This is my first Apple in-store reservation and wasn't sure how it all was supposed to work. I printed out the page wit the "We'll see you at the store" but there's nothing personally identifying on there except that I was eligible for the lower upgrade price. Any thoughts?

That happened to me when I got past the name/address/phone/social security screen. The first time I was just asked to select a store then a new page appeared that said "see you at the store" along with the details. I thought something was wrong, because there was a message to the left column of the "select a store" that said "unable to process your request." So I did it again, and this time after I selected a store, it asked me for my apple ID. I provided it, and in 5-10 mins I received an email regarding my reservation. I will call the Apple store that I reserved it at to fully confirm. I made sure to screen print the pages just in case.

    I just reserved my iPhone 4 through the Apple Store App and it showed 299 for the 32gb when I reserved it, but the email I received showing I reserved it, says I reserved the 32gb iPhone 4 at a price of 699.00.     Same thing happened to me. Used the app and entered my info (cell no zip code last four of ss). Didn't get any kind of confirmation in the app that my order was placed but got the email. I'm thinking that the fine print is just Apple covering their butt in case something happens (natural disaster, launch delayed, etc). I thought a reservation is just that - a phone is held and reserved for you. Is that the way it worked for previous launches of iPhone and the iPad? I am assuming that I can get the 199 price at the store when I pick it up

    Was shipped today, October 8, but I don't know if this "GSM-CAN" means taht is locked or unlocked!
    I BOUGHT AN UNLOCKED! 

    "GSM-CAN" means that it was a GSM iPhone sold in Canada. It doesn't indicate anything regarding lock status. If you purchased the iPhone from the online Apple Store, then to the best of my knowledge, they don't sell anything other than unlocked iPhones.

    It happened to me as well. Once in App Store and once in Flight+ app. It happens where the keys QWERTY is on the keypad. I assume it is a software bug in the OS. However, I don't eliminate the possibility of a hardware issue with my device since I dropped it on a hard carpet floor from waist height. No appearance damage but not sure about any internal damages. I will update this thread when I get more updates

    I cant find anyway to reseve the iPhone 4 for store pick up, in the iPhone reserve options it only gives you the option to reserve the 4S. and on the iPhone 4 page their is no button that says reserve.

    Why would you need to reserve and iPhone4?  There are no supply issues with the 4, only the 4S because it is new.

  • I keep having to change my itunes password because it doesn't accept it on my iphone, even though I got an email saying it was changed.

    I have both an Iphone and Ipad. I just switched and got a new iphone and am having problems--I go to the App store but when I enter my password, I get an error message. I have changed my password at least 3 x this summer and get an email saying it is changed, but then the App store doesn't like it. I am SICK of fiddling with Itunes.

    yes I have the same problem. I can't download any apps on my phone because itunes won't accept my apple ID password. I don't want to change it anymore or else I won't remember. Who can help?

  • Tip: Unable to Install or Update Apps Using the iPhone's App Store?

    I had a problem today where I found myself unable to install updates, or install new or previously purchased apps using the App Store on the iPhone. However, I had no problem with the installation of apps when I plugged my iPhone into my computer, opened iTunes and dragged the app I wanted over to my iPhone. So, I did the usual: I tried a reboot, and, when that didn't work, I powered my phone off and waited a few minutes before turning it back on. Still no love with the updating or installation of apps using the App Store on my iPhone.
    Here is what I did do to fix it:
    I keep backups of my iPhone on my MBP and I back up my phone regularly. If you do not, you should start doing so. Anyway, I went ahead and plugged my phone into my computer and launched iTunes (I also update my MBP daily if necessary, so the most current version of iTunes was used).
    Once my phone showed up in iTunes and I could select it, I right-clicked on the iPhone's name (I use a MBP, but I know Windows users might view this, too, so universal language is what I will use - for Mac users, right-clicking means using two finger tap on a touchpad or using the good 'ol Control-click) and selected "Back Up" from the menu.
    Once the phone was backed up, I right-clicked again on the iPhone's name and selected "Restore from Backup...".
    I made sure the value for "iPhone Name" was correct and that the "Last Backed Up" day and time values were correct and I clicked the "Restore" button and let the restore process finish completely (wait until your iPhone shows up in iTunes again before doing anything else with your phone).
    Once the restore was complete, I was extra cautious and powered off then powered on my phone. Finally, I went ahead and plugged it back into my MBP and made sure that the phone showed up in iTunes.
    Following all of that, I launched the App Store on my iPhone again, entered the password for my Apple ID and updating apps, installing new apps, and installing previously purchased apps from iCloud all worked again.
    Please note that this process is much different than just simply clicking the "Restore" button on your iPhone's homepage in iTunes. That will prompt you to backup your phone, completely restore it to factory defaults, and, then require you to restore from backup to get all your settings and such back. This is not the route I took - I simply restored from an existing backup. I want to make sure that this point is clear. Although, if restoring from an existing backup does not solve the issue at first, then perhaps a restore to factory defaults followed up with a restore from a backup will do the trick, too. I just did not want to waste my time taking the much longer route first and was happy to find my iPhone's App Store working again by simply restoring my phone using an existing backup.
    I have seen a lot of posts regarding this issue in the support communities, with none of them having an answer (even after calling Apple Support). I hope this helps anyone else that has had, is having or will have the same issue! Feel free to post comments regarding other solutions you have found for the same issue - let's have one discussion where all possible solutions can be posted so iPhone users do not have to sort through a bunch of unhelpful discussions just to find a solution that was not yet documented (like I had to).

    If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
    If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

  • Cant view my purchased on my  iphone 3GS app store ever since the io update 6 and 6.1 didnt fix the issue

    I have noticed that my iphone 3GS app store crashes when trying to view "purchased" apps. I never had that problem since i updated to IO6. Now I have updated ot IO6.1 and still have the problem.  Its only in my main itunes account [email protected] that it crashes when trying to view the "purchased" apps. With my other itunes accounts I can see my purchased apps. I dont understand why this is happening, this is extremely frustrating! I have been using my main account ever since i bought my iphone 3GS over three years now.  I used to see every app ive purchased with my main account. but with mmy other itunes account i really havent download much apps so it doesnt show all my apps since the day I purchased my 3GS.Please help. I know there are many other out there that have the same problem, why isnt this problem fixed yet?????

    Everytime I go to update my apps some other persons email or AppleID comes up and I have to cancel.  its annoying enough to have to update all the time but now I have about100 update notifications (don't judge, you probably have a ton of apps too..haha) that are sitting idol, what's up how do I fix?

    I'm sorry Allan, I should have clarified, your answer is improbable (well the first part atleast).
    The apps I have had since the first week of purchase of my iphone back in 2011,  I have not added any apps until 2 months before the last software update.  This starting happening when the new software was implemented but I have not updated to iOS6 yet.  Unless this person was able to hack into my account & transfer them to their account, I do not see how that is possible.
    Prior to seeing this other AppleID, I have a popup to prompt me for my AppleID each time I download content.  Each time I would see mine and enter my password.

    That depends on what you mean. If you mean two iTunes Store accounts, no. Only one Apple ID can be logged into the iTunes Store at a time and if automatic download, iTunes Match or re-downloading of content is used the ID can not be changed for 90 days.

    If you previously had been using the same Apple ID for iTunes Store purchases for both of you there is no reason to change what you've been doing. If this is your wife's first iPhone, and you want to share the iTunes Store account just don't use the new Apple ID you created. As long as there are no purchases on it there's nothing to worry about.

    I need to access advanced setting on my iphone whilst setting up a pop3 email account.  I have entered all of the required details but when it comes to verifying the account it does not progress any further and remains at the verification stage.  I need to go in some how and change the security type and the port numbers.  I believe this is in advanced setting but I dont know how to get there.
    Any help appreciated

    Can you clarify whether this is a POP or IMAP account? I suspect it is POP (and that messages have never been deleted off the server for the life of the account) but I'd like to make sure that is the case.

    On your iPhone go to Settings > Store.
    Select the Apple ID at the bottom.
    Select Sign Out at the menu selection provided.
    Follow this by signing in with your new Apple ID/iTunes store account.
    All apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account that was used to download the apps. In order to install an app update for the apps downloaded with your previous Apple ID/iTunes account, you will need to use that account and password.

    It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.
