IPhone 4 ios 7 unable to use control panel

Hi I am using iphone 4 and was updated to ios 7 yesterday
I have tried all the possible ways to slide up from the bottom of the screen (outside and inside the screen)
But still nothing happens at all
Now I couldn't lock the screen rotation or do whatever everyone else is doing to the new ios 7
Because I cant even get to the control panel at all and I couldn't find any useful things to help with it in the general option
Please if anyone can help me with it

do you have an "Control Center" option in your settings app?
I've an iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.2), too.
For me (almost) everything is working fine, so no general bug at this point.

You can only create the account on a Mac or an IOS device. Then you can use it on your PC.

Akamai NetSession Interface failes to install client: Unable to register Control Panel. Aborting installation.

I am trying to eval SQL Server 2014 for use on a new BI project that we starting. However, the first step, downloading and installing the Akamai NetSession Interface (download mgr. ) is failing to install on my laptop due, as it raises the following error
message: " Failed to install client: Unable to register Control Panel. Aborting installation." I have tried running it as Administrator, and granting my ID security to run it. Both tasks failed to get it to install.
Can you please help me get beyond this roadblock?

You can start the control panel using the command: +panel+
Type this is the search box and presses enter.
But it seems that there is something wrong with the OS and maybe you should try to repair the OS.
Power up the unit and press F8.
Then choose Repair my Computer and in new window choose the repair option.

How can get the touchpad turned off when my logitech mouse is plugged via usb. when I used control panel to turn off tp it says it is disabled.

I am saying that the touch pad still is active/turned on/ works, even though it is disabled according to the menu screen that I reach through control panel. It works all the time, in any program I am using. My latest attempt is to delete the software (Alps vers. 7.1207.101.225) but I see that has not worked either. I'm a poor typist and need to watch the keyboard and my thumbs touch the pad and send the cursor and current words somewhere other than the line on which I am trying to write. Very frustrating.[

OffficeJet 6500A. Unable to access control panel in Windows8

I have a new laptop and have downloaded the full feature HP software. The test print and scan appeared to work correctly. However I cant find how to access the control panel on my desktop. It hasnt created an icon in my windows8 start pages.
I have a button that says HP Printer Control that allowsme to purchase ink and says my printer is off-line. There are no scanning options.
How do I access the full print/scan control panel or, better still, link it to the Printer Control button.

Hi SaraLK,
I can help you find the scanning program. From the Start screen or Tile screen, without clicking on anything, start typing HP. You should see the Officejet 6500a, if not click on Files and it should appear. When you click on the Officejet 6500a the Printer Assistance will open, you could also right click on the icon and pin it to the taskbar so that it is always available right form the desktop.
Here is another way you can Create Windows 8 Taskbar Shortcuts for Your Favorite Programs. Please take no offense to the referenced site, it helps make everything easier! I use it all the time.

Unable to start control panel for root

Is there a command line to get the control panel back for root? It seems that I have either removed it (inadvertently) or one of the security updates did it for me. I realize that it is risky, but adding users, disk, etc... is much easier with this tool. Any ideas?

Thanks. For whatever it is worth, I need to use this to set up users, network settings, etc.... It is much easier this way. I can then take the time to learn the commands as I need them.

You can't create an iCloud account from a Windows PC.
To use iCloud, you must first set it up using a device with iOS5 or a Mac with OS X Lion.

Click Start , All Programs , Recovery Manager .
Or,just do it from boot. Immediately after powering on the laptop start tapping away at the F11 key.This should boot into Recovery Manager where you can choose to do a Factory reset.

Used control panel to uninstall Norton

This A665-S5187X came with a pre-installed 30 trial of Norton which I uninstalled using the control panel. I have installed McAfee and I am not having problems. This forum indicates there is a special tool that you can download to uninstall Norton. Will I have any problems having done it the old fashion way?

A program called Revo Uninstaller will use a manufacturers uninstall program but then it will also discover if any other files or registry entries have been installed and give you the option to uninstall those as well. Read the reviews, decide for yourself, but the program works very well at removing all traces of any program you wish to uninstall. Plus you can use it instead of Control Panel if you wish.

Cannot unlock iphone 5 ios 7.0.2 using my passcode

Unbelievable. I've had problems with the iPhone before but this is just ridiculous. I've seen other complaints about this, yet there's no bug fix. The only "help" I can find to get back into my phone is here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. So far, the instructions aren't working since everything requires the now useless pass code. Apparently, I should have used ESP to know this would happen and not check the encrypt box. Now I need my pass code to restore my last back up (the one that doesn't work). Important: I did not forget my pass code and I am not entering the wrong one. I just used my phone a few hours ago, but when I tried to use it later my iphone would not accept my pass code. I can't even wipe it clean at this point. So I'm pretty much stuck with a piece of expensive trash. Thanks a lot Apple. Next time I'll buy a different smart phone. iPhones have way too many problems and I'm tired of losing my info and wasting time trying to fix your mistakes. iTunes won't restore and I won't use iCloud after my contacts list went to someone else's phone after a backup.
Strangely, iTunes did an automatic backup AFTER I got this message:
iTunes could not back up the iPhone "my name" because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iphone before it can be backed up. (Try again) or (Cancel).
I'm at a loss...and I hate you Apple.

Thanks for the advice Ocean20, but I didn't have my stuff backed up to iCloud. I had my contact information go to someone else's phone on the same account and that caused some problems, since he had access to my personal information.
I did get back into my iPhone, but the only way to do it was to wipe it clean. When I tried to restore my last backup from iTunes, it only restored the apps, not the data stored. I don't think there is a solution to this problem. I'm afraid to use the pass code lock now and I have sensitive, personal info on it. I just hope Apple fixes it soon.
