IPhone 4 ios update times out when downloading in iTunes and won't update
I bought a new iPhone recently and sync'd it with my iTunes. Everything worked like a dream but for some reason, my iTunes has never successfully downloaded the latest ios updates and therefore haven't been able to update my iPhone4. I keep getting to the end of the download where I think it's going to process the update onto the device and instead I get an error message saying that my iTunes network connection has timed out?! Its definitely connected to the internet. Error 3259.
Does anyone else have the same problem and know the fix to this?
This question is asked and answered over and over and over and over and over.......
Use the search box at the top of the page and type in "connection timed out". You'll find the answer to your question.

Internet connection times out when downloading update ios5. get to last 0.01 of data, says processing file and then says connection timed out. Is there a fix?
I am using itunes 10.5. Update didnt work on last software but restore did work. HelpAfter two days of attempts, Google & Apple searches, one Apple post stated to turn off all firewalls and virus software and keep trying since there were 6 gazillion people trying to update. I have Windows 7 & Kaspersky and had to diable every single safety feature in Kaspersky as well as Firewalls and it finally allowed the download and update attempt.
Glancing at the forum, there appears to be numerous other problems with missing pictures, text problems etc after the IOS5 download but fortuneately, everything seems ok so far. Good luck, it is frustrating! Hattie47 -
When the iPhone 4 with IOS 5 is connected by cable to iTunes and check for update results in Error 1630, plz help me to update plz
My Iphone 4 crashed yesterday after a restart and upload of OS 5.0, it will only partially sync. It's not transferring any of my music or ringtones. They still appear when I click open the sync screens on ITunes, but I don't seem to have an Ipod function and only one of my personalized ringtones transfers on the actual phone.

Why does my network connection time out when downloading iphone 4 software update?
Why does my network connection time out when trying to download iphone4 software update?
I'm having the same problem too. I cannot sync or update over wireless or wired connections ever since I installed the most recent iTunes update. iTunes goes through the complete OS 5.0.1 download only to tell me the connection has timed out just when it seems ready to install. I've since reinstalled iTunes, I've ejected and done hard restarts on both my problem devices. I've disabled anti-virus, anti-malware, and firewall. No change in outcome except that, after doing all this, my final attempt to simply sync my 1st Gen iPad led to iTunes crashing and being automatically closed by windows just before finishing the final step. Is this a cruel joke, because I'm certain I can hear iTunes laughing at me for wasting so much time on this.

Why are cs5 updates erroring out when downloading on windows 7?
i have just re-installed cs5 on a new hard drive. my serial number was verified as valid. when i use help > updates, it shows updates needed in all 5 app. after it tries to download them, it errors out with this generic screen:
Some updates failed to install.
Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.5 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Photoshop CS5
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
when i click on the customer support link, it brings me to a "error: this serial number is not for a qualifying product.
Any Help, please? Here is a reply I found on another thread. I went to the Manual Products update Product updates and downloaded some so-call updates but I can't open and run 'em. Adobe has proven to be a company that cares little about customers who have spent $,$$$.$$ with them over the last 15 years.
Another's answer:
I have same problem. After you download updates within the Adobe Application Manager box and get that dreaded Updates failed to install... look on lower left and click on "Customer Support" link. It will open a new window and tell you the error code.
Do you get Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product" | CS6, CS5.5, CS5 ?
That's error I get. 2 chat sessions so far, neither person could figure out why, both said to use forums. Two hours later and I find no clear answer. Best I find googling is CS5-6 is no longer supported. ...meaning if you have less than CS6, you need to manually install updates. The automatic update manager won't update for us any longer, and you need to go here and update all programs manually: Product updates -

Network connection time out when connecting to Itunes store
When I try to connect to Itunes store i get this message:
"Itunes could not connect to iTuens sore network connection has times out Make sure your network connection is active and your network setting are correct"
Can some one walk me through or link me to a site or discussion so i can get this fixedI had the same problem several days with the AppStore. Software-downloads did not proceed, i tryed everything, shut down firewalls, change the host-file, disable proxy-server - no success.
I have Kaspersky-Suite as firewall and anti-virus-software.
Accidentially I find a solution:
- select in iTunes at downloads "Proceed" of a download-entry . iTunes then connect with the server, so it is enough time to:
- right-click on the windows-tray-symbol of Kaspersky and select "stop service" (something like that, i work with the german version).
Now, surprise, the download proceed and starts working again. In case the download is freezing again:
- Reactivea Kaspersky-service with right-click as described above, then deactive the serve again as i described.
Seems this "Workaround" opens a door to an network-connection Kaspersky usually block by itself.
Shutdown the firewall and finishing the Firewall-Software is a good idea, but you never know, which process is running in the background despite you shutdown everything possible...
Hope the "solution" is working for you! -
Error 50 when downloading from itunes and cant get purchases downloaded but i am charged for them
I used a redeem code and it downloaded the extras but the movie portion that appears to be a separate app states error-50 and will not download. I cannot delete the error file nor can I use the redeem code (one time use) to try downloading again.
Temporary fix: I am having the same problem, have been for months. I get sporadic results, sometimes I can download, sometimes not. You need to delete the download from the Downloads section in iTunes, then find your Downloads folder under Users folder (a few folders deep) and delete the folder for the item that failed. Then go back to iTunes and check for new downloads, which causes the download to start over.
Permanent fix: What I've come to understand is that iTunes does not like NTFS formatted hard drives. I am downloading to a FAT32 formatted thumb drive and it is working flawlessly. The way iTunes downloads a file is archaic to say the least. It creates a file container the size of the file being downloaded, then downloads it in one long stream to the hard drive. When the incompatibility arises with NTFS, the download fails and the files have to be deleted to start over. In a day and age when we have p2p technology and Apple can't fix a simple download compatibility issue. It's sad. My advice... get an external hard drive, format it for FAT32 and redirect your downloads to that (under Edit, Preferences, Advanced). You should be fine. -

Windows 7 - Downloaded new itunes and won't open
Just upgraded to the new itunes and every time I click on it, nothing happens. No errors, no issues, just won't open or anything. Even tried uninstalling old versions and now none of them will work?!
Hello and thanks so much for your quick reply. I am at a standstill, because I have done those things already and it has not worked. The repair install procedure seemed to take place quickly, but the same thing happened again when I tried to uninstall it the program after that.... It seems to proceed, then the progress bar goes backward, and there it still is!
When I downloaded the Microsoft Fixit program and asked it to uninstall the Apple Mobile device Support, it started but then got stuck and I had to shut my computer off, as it froze everything up!
I'm hoping you can help..... This seems to be a problem with the new version, and it's frustrating, because I can't use Itunes on my computer at all till we find a solution.
Perhaps if I try to restore my computer to before the Itunes 11.1.4 uodate?
Thanks so much for your help,

Podcast seems to time out when downloading
When I start a download of a podcast, it will download for a minute or so and if the podcast is not fully downloaded, I tunes stops down loading the file.
It should not take 4 hours! That may mean the servers are busy, so come back later.
When I went 3.0.1 to 3.1 I had a glitch and ended up having to Restore my 3GS. The entire process -- download, install and Restore -- took about one hour. Then I had to spend another hour or so reloading all my music, video, apps, etc. from the iTunes backup.
I've not had any difficulty updating the OS before, starting with my original iPhone in July 2007. My guess is that the problems arise from having a new iTunes 9 and OS 3.1 at the same time.
Do keep trying: You'll get there!
