Iphone 4 issue - yahoo email can't connect to server on 3G

I find my email not updating in 3G...i get Connection to Server cannot be found or some such thing.

I reset my network connections and that did the trick.

I've started having this issue as well. First time about a month ago I deleted Yahoo mail from my phone and added it back. Didn't help. Then one day the mail account just started syncing again. Now I'm having the same issue again. Keep getting the 'cannot get mail', 'connection to the server failed' message.Not sure what I did. How about nothing? Do I just wait it out again like last time? Or is there a fix for this? And why does it keep happening?

It is a known issue with Yahoo mobile mail.

Dot mac email can't connect to server...

hey all.
So i have an old .mac email as my main email address for work. I've obviously had it for a long time.
I want to update to iCloud, but my older G5 Power PC is not compatible, and I'm not quite ready to buy a new computer, financially.
And so, my Mac Mail on my G5 still works with my .mac email just fine.
Yet, in the last month or so, on my android phone, it constantly tells me that it cant connect to the server, but yet, it does receive email, but only once every 5-6 hours. It used to work fine till about a month ago.
Is this because of the switch to iCloud?
Being that my .mac has been my main email for work, and I'm constantly on the go, and need my email on my phone, and in a timely fashion, is my only solution to buy an iPhone?

It also works fine on iCloud, (when i use a computer that is new enough to use iCloud).

Email "can't connect to server"

My email was working fine and then suddenly stopped last Friday on my Droid phone. All other email apps are fine. I'm able to get online, etc. I've disabled and enabled the app. I've reset my phone to factory settings. I've checked my settings in gmail to be sure IMAP is enabled. No help. Ideas?

After update to IOS 6.0, on the iPhone 4 and 4s, emails can not be forwarded. I tried to resync, but the update does not show the forwarding buttons anymore.

my phone was updated via itunes.
some hours ago the phone charged up to 5% but than directly draining to zero...

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Try resetting your modem. Power it down. Wait a moment, then power it up again. While it resets, do not change what is connected to it.
In another, though unrelated article, Apple recommends the following:
If you have configured your Wi-Fi base stations in the past, it may be helpful to do a factory default reset of each Wi-Fi base station that will be part of the wireless extended network before you begin.
This step really ought not be considered optional for the configuration you propose. If the problem persists after resetting your modem, reset everything else too.

Iphone 3 and 4 can not connect to server

We have been syncing e-mail to IPhone for 2 + years, Last night we stopped getting mail on our Iphones and other smart phones.
Using Exchange 2003 server.
Rebooted twice today - not seeing any sync errors in event log
Deleted my account, hard boot of IPhone and recreated account - still getting error “ can not connect to server” in mail
What is strange it is only mail – I can move an appointment and it updates my outlook calendar
Any suggestions much appreciated!

after upgrading to ios 7, icloud is not working on iphone 4S—asks me to accept terms and conditions, but then says "can't connect to server" to do so.

Feel so foolish. After deleting as you suggest, I realized that the mail I'm reading on my iPad is, in fact, the mail from the cloud. I was expecting an iCloud web page like I see on my computer. Apparently, that's not the case. If I've been receiving email on my iPad, then I'm already setup properly.
