IPhone 4 keeps focusing and refocusing in video

When shooting video with my iPhone 4, the image keeps focusing and refocusing as I move the camera causing the picture to pop in and out of focus. It's happening in all video apps so I'm suspecting the phone.
Ideas?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, resest, restore from backup, restore as new.
If you still have problems after going through ALL the recommended troubleshooting steps, then you likely have a hardware issue.  You'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

    My iphone keeps crashing and turning itself off.....even though battery life is fine...as soon as i plug charger in it comes bcak on....help very frustrating...3g

    absolutely that is frustrating. if the battery life is fine there could be two things software or hardware. to find out if your back up your information in itunes and import pictures and then restore the phone as NEW then you can test it out. if it is still shutting off it is hardware related

    I tried removing all the pattern validations on the field and added this below code in the validate event of the text field and it works..
    var strCode;
    var f = /^([A-Z]{2}[1-9]{5}[A-Z])$/;
    if(this.rawValue != null && String(this.rawValue) != "") {
                        strCode = String(this.rawValue);
                        if (f.test(strCode) == false) {
                                            xfa.host.messageBox("Invalid pattern!");
                                            xfa.host.resetData();
                                            xfa.host.setFocus(this);
    xfa.host.setFocus(this);

  • My iphone keeps connecting and reconnecting

    I'm trying to connect my iphone to my pc.  It keeps "connecting" and "reconnecting".  Its getting very frustrating.  I'm not sure why its doing this.  First an error comes up that says "iTunes cannot install apps to iPhone "Ryan's iPhone 4S" because the apps installed on the phone could not be determined."   another error is "The iPhone "Ryan's iPhone 4S" cannot be synced.  The required disk space cannot be found".
    what should I do now??

    Clean iPhone Dock Port with a clean dry toothbrush. Try different USB Cable. Try different USB port on computer. Try different computer.

  • HT201412 iphone keeps freezing and touch screen wont work

    the touch screen on my iphone keeps freezing up and won't respond to any touches. I have restored my phone two times and then it will work for awhile and then freeze up again.  if i restart the phone several times it will start working again, but only for about 1 hour, and then it freezes again.  any ideas how to fix this?

    Leaving it in rice only overnight usually isn't sufficient to dry out an iPhone. It usually takes at least a couple of days before you can risk turning the iPhone back on. And with seawater infiltration, drying it out probably won't help since seawater will leave a lot of residue.
    If resetting the iPhone doesn't bring the screen back:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
    then the iPhone probably has suffered hardware damage and you'll need to take or send it to Apple and pay their out-of-warranty replacement charge, or the AppleCare+ fee if you had AppleCare+ coverage.

  • Iphone keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

    Greetings,
    I spent nearly 3 hours this afternoon figuring out why my iphone crapped out after upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2. I actually had a problem upgrading after the first update to the iphone firmware as well (on the first update way back in july/august, miraculously it just started working after about 2 hours of messing with it). I would get strange error codes such as the ones in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275 such as error codes 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 13, 19, -18, -48, -50, 1002, 1011, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1608, 1609, 1611, 1612, 2003, 2004, -9808
    Problem:
    I would try and run the 2.2 update but it never successfully finished because my iphone would reconnect and then disconnect shortly thereafter. It would stay connected from anywhere between 10 seconds and 5 minutes. Naturally, 5 minutes was just enough time to give me hope, only to have my iphone bricked and forced me to do a restore.
    Problem was, I could not do a restore because since the phone was disconnecting every so often, nothing would work.
    I uninstalled and reinstalled my USB drivers according to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 but with no dice. It did not work.
    I also uninstalled iTunes and all associated applications according to this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    My system is a P4 2.4 GHz with Windows XP SP2 and 2GB RAM. Motherboard is an Asus P4PE.
    Solution:
    What finally fixed my issue was disabling the USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller in the device manager. To do this:
    # On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
    # In Control Panel, open Administrative Tools. Note: If you don't see Administrative Tools, look at the left column in Control Panel for a link that says, "Switch to Classic View," and click it.
    # Double click the Computer Management shortcut.
    # In the left column, click on Device Manager.
    # In the right column, click the plus icon next to Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand this selection.
    # Right click on "USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller" and choose Disable.
    Unplug iphone from system. Reboot your system.
    Now launch iTunes, wait a minute or so, and plug in your iphone.
    Voila!
    No more reconnecting and disconnecting. I was able to restore and copy my data from my last backup. Unfortunately I did lose several pictures I had taken on my camera as I did not manually back those up like I usually do. Since I had so many problems updating my iphone you would think I would have remembered to back up all my photos BEFORE I did the update...
    Anyway, I hope this helps someone out there that may have a similar setup to mine.
    BTW, the actual chipset USB drivers I have are Intel 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller - 24CD on my P4PE motherboard.

    Hi! Wow am I glad I found your post. I had the issue with the iPhone disconnecting/reconnecting. It is infuriating. I couldn't figure out what to do, but when I disabled the same USB 2.0-enhanced host controller that you disabled, my syncs seem to work fine.
    The problem is that this also disables USB 2.0. I don't really want to do that. Can anyone comment on why this works and if there is alternative? Are there alternative drivers for USB 2.0 that might work?
    Thanks!

  • My iphone keeps rebooting and going to recovery mode. HELP

    Okay, so it all started about 2 months ago when I let my iphone die. I put it on charge, then went to sleep. I woke up and found out my iphone wouldn't stop rebooting and going to recovery. I have dug so deep into forums just to find a solution but nothing has helped. Most of all I think this is a hardware issue.
    I have done the DFU restore, I have restored (around 20 times.), but my iphone has a broken power button so its hard to get around some things.
    It will show the apple logo, then the "connect to itunes".
    Please if you have a bite of information or you have had this problem, PLEASE help me out!
    Thanks in advance.

    If you are restoring from a backup that could be a reason why your issue is still there
    Restore your iphone using itunes one last time, this time setup as new.
    Try it for a couple of hours or the amount of time it usually takes your iphone to reboot and go Into recovery mode.
    If issue stops then is something in that backup
    If it continues or if you have already set up as new in those restores you have done before
    call apple so they could look more Into It (1800 692-7753)

  • HT201412 What if my iphone keeps freezing and I have to restore it to solve the problem?

    Three times in about two weeks, my iphone has just frozen. Apps. recently put on it disappeared or quit responding. Now the power button doesn't work and itunes doesn't pick up my phone to restore it. Restoring it seems to solve the problem for a few days then, it freezes and becomes unresponsive again. This time none of the buttons work. I can't even make phone calls. I keep my phone in an otter box to protect it. At this time, I cannot replace it. The earliest is May. It is out of Warranty.

    Keep holding power and home until apple logo appears.

  • My iphone keeps crashing and everytime i have to restore. what is the case of this?

    i just got this phone from amazon and everytime it keeps crashing on me. i am so disappointed and please i need to know why and what to do

    It is $199 to do an out-of-warranty replacement of the entire phone at an Apple Store, they do not repair screens on the iPhone 4s. Make a Genius Bar appointment before you go.
    You can take it to a 3rd party repair site and probably get it replaced for less.

  • HT201412 why does my iphone keep freezing and when i keep going on to settings it comes up blank and shuts down the app

    i would like to know why my iphone 4s keeps freezing alot and everytime i go on settings it goes blanks and shut the app down?
    i cant use setttings at all

    Why?  Not sure, could be lots of different reasons.
    However, if you'd like to know how to fix the issue, then have you tried the troubleshooting steps listed inthe article that you linked from?
    When in doubt: Restart, Reset, Restore from Backup, Restore as New.

  • IPhone keeps playing and pausing on its own unless its locked!?

    Hello everyone.
    I have had a host of problems with my iPhone since I got it, but this is just one I can't ignore any longer. It just starts playing music, randomly, without prompt or instruction. Then it pauses from time to time. If I'm playing music without the phone being locked, it frequently pauses for a time, then starts again randomly.
    Has anyone else experienced this problem before? Any suggestions?
    The second problem, and this is one I've literally just started experiencing, is that it keeps fast-forwarding/skipping THROUGH songs - I don't mean jumping from one song to the next, but actually jumping about twenty seconds or so through the song, for a bout a second, then continuing to so until the song is over. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd like to think it's bad files, but this isn't the case - songs I've bought off iTunes are doing it as well, for no good reason. And this began minutes after I had just backed-up and restored and updated my phone. I'm clueless! And frustrated...
    Please somebody help!

    is this happening while you have the headphones plugged in? if so, you have either a bad set of headphones or a bad headset jack. the headphones can be replaced at the apple store or through the web (sorry, but i can't find the link i used to do it a few months ago). a bad headset jack probably has to be fixed by replacing the phone at an apple store. you might be able to do the headset replacement by calling apple.
