Iphone 4 keeps loosing reception,

I have now had my phone replaced and a new sim, but still have no reception in certain places where I used to be can anyone please help ??? the software is up to date and everything else is in order any suggestions?

'No service means' that your iPhone is not getting reception, due to Carrier problem not sending signal, SIM card problem not receiving signal, or iPhone antenna issue.
Try on iPhone, tap Settings App>General>Reset, near bottom>Reset Network Settings. If this does not work, next step is New SIM Card from Carrier but you say "New SIM".
Next step is Apple for Warranty Replacement of the iPhone.

  • My iPhone 4s keeps loosing reception now and again i have to put it in aeroplane mode for it to come back again sometimes i have to turn the phone off and on again for it to be normal. solution please

i am looking for som answers and am sure other iphone 4s users may have the same problem. this has only started to happen to me since i updated to ios7..

    Rome,
I would try everything that "Diesel" has suggested !!!
I had the same problem after updating to iOS 5.1. I was never able to fix it. I did however find a work around and that was to delete the offending Wi-Fi configuration and then under "Other" manually add back my Wi-Fi connection. This solved the auto re-connect problem. I don't think this is a fix but a pretty darn good work-around.
I talked to Apple about this problem while arranging for a replacement phone (for another problem) and the Technician seemed to be aware of this quirk and suggested that my fix was about the best I could expect.
HOWEVER - when I received my replacement phone not only did the problem that I exchanged the phone for now function correctly but the "Auto-reconnect" of the Wi-Fi worked as expected and as it did prior to the iOS 5.1 update.
    Go-Figure !!!

  • Why does my iPhone 4 keep loosing it's ability to download emails or connect to the Internet?  I can power it off at when I restart I can send and receive but after awhile all I get is it trying to connect.

Why does my iPhone 4 keep loosing it's connection to download emails or go onto safari?  If I power down the phone and restart it then it will connect but shortly after it will loose the connection and then just shows connecting in email or in safari unable to connect to the Internet

I'm guessing it's more likely a problem with your carrier's 3G network in the area. You shouldn't have to modify any settings for 3G to work consistently on a supported carrier.
You can try turning off 3G data, with will switch over to Edge if it exists. If it does, it will be much slower than 3G, but I suppose faster than 0 is better than 0.
I'd contact your carrier about it.

  • Why does my iphone 4 keep loosing charge so quick

I have recently noticed my iphone 4 keeps loosing charger very quick. Im having to charge it atleast twice a day anyone know how to resolve the problem by keeping the charge a little longer

First, I doubt your phone is "loosing" charge.  It's probably "losing" charge.
Second, you need to look in the "More Like This" box to your right or search this forum for excellent tips on how to maximize battery life.

  • My iPhone 5 keeps loosing signal. Saying searching.....

  • My iphone 3gs keeps loosing wi-fi at home

Has anyone got any ideas as my phone keeps loosing the wi-fi connection at home. Its only in the next room but keeps disconnecting. Please any ideas would be great.

    Please try the following:
    1. Reboot the router by unplugging the power cord. Often your phone will reconnect after you do this. If not,
    2. Reset the phone network settings - tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. When the phone restarts, see if it will reconnect. If not,
    3. Tap Settings > WiFi > Other. Re-enter your network name, security, and network password.
A couple of other tips: Keep your router firmware up to date and replace WEP with WPA2.

  • My Iphone 4, keeps loosing sound - including when I have head phones in.

There is no sound to make a call, playing music or when im on an App. The only solution so far that ive found is to keep turning the phone off/on.
Ive tried the headphone idea, plugging it in and back out again, however there is no sound coming from the headphones either. Im baffled to what it could be!!
In the last 24hrs its happened twice and it first started yesterday. After I sorted the problem out this afternoon it worked fine all day until just now.
Has anyone got any advice? Has this happened to anyone before.
Really greatful for any help on this matter.
    Thanks

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have gone through ALL the above steps and are still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

  • My iPhone 4S keeps loosing signal when 3G connection is on how can this be it worked fine until the latest software update

I recently updatedy iPhone 4S to the latest software now when I have 3G turned on it says searching for network and I can not make or receive calls 02 say 3G has to be turned off but that's the reason I have this phone is to access the Internet when away from home l.  Please help anyone?

Yeah, my iPhone 4S sometimes manages to connect to wifi for about 10 minutes now. I think there is a problem related with the antenna because when the phone heats up, the WIFI stops working. I had a similar experience with my older iPhone 4S which I bought from the U.S.A. (unlocked version) but after a couple of days, WIFI icon grayed out and I wasn't able to switch it on and off. Now the phone I'm using was bought in Turkey from a local carrier, (it's not locked I suppose) I'm planning on upgrading to an iPhone 6 and I will try to get my 4S repaired. I hope it is something related with software rather than hardware. Because a friend of mine sent his phone to the local Apple store to be fixed, they sent the phone back claiming that they had repaired it. But in about 2 days, the phone shut itself down and never turned off back again lol. I don't want to experience the same thing. But anyway, thanks for your answer. At least now I know that I'm not the only one that has this problem .

    Resolution
Many Wi-Fi issues can be resolved by doing the following:
    Basic troubleshooting
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware. For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
    Hope this helps,

  • My 5s keeps loosing signal , 02 say it the latest update on ios 7 causing this  , is this true and what's happening about it plz ?

My iPhone 5s keeps loosing signal , I have contacted 02 , and they say it's to do with the latest ios 7 update , my messages and voice mail doesn't come through for a day or two after they are sent or left , this shouldn't be happening to a phone that is only a few months old !

Think about it.  If it were truly the iOS update, EVERYONE who has updated (and that's millions and millions of users) would be having problems.  It would be front page news.
Get a replacement SIM from O2 and see if this improves the situation.  If not, then basic troubleshooting steps are restart, reset, restore from backup and restore as new device.  If those don't work, then you have a hardware issue with the phone (not a problem with the iOS 7 update) and will need to bring it to Apple for servicing.

  • Why does my iphone 3gs keep searching

my iphone 3gs keeps loosing signal and says searching

Hi gdmacguy - I have done a full restore and it still does it... it constantly chucks me out of texting and using apps - its also stopped my iTunes from playing after about 8 mins which is really irritating when I am in the gym!!!
Do you have any other ideas of what I can do please?

  • I keep loosing signal on iPhone 4

I keep loosing signal on my iPhone 4 even though I'm in a good signal area for O2. There are no faults as other people are not having the same issue. I use a case so I don't grip the phone wrong. The issue has gotten worse over the past 2 weeks. I have used another sim card and that doesent work. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be. I look after my phone and this issue is really annoying me.

    reset the phone
    reset network setting

  • I have an iphone 4 and it appears that since i updated to ios6 that i keep loosing 3G network.  is there a fix to this? i have reset my network connections several times.  I have no trouble connecting to wifi when i am home.

I have an iphone 4 and it appears that since i have updated to ios6 that i keep loosing my 3g network connection.  i have reset the network connection several times only to loose 3g again whenever i try to connect to a sight. can anyone tell me what will stop this?

Problem persisted after fixes were done so wife called apple today.           Their fix is to turn cellular off when in the house and turn it back on when she leaves- the 4 doesn't keep the password so she has to enter the password too... This wasn't a fix ...it's just resolving the connection problem... They also said that they made ios6 have security features so nobody can hack into the wifi without having the password and it has to be entered to use the wifi.  My 5 and the iPads stay on with no problems.  It's just the 4.        So far so good...she's had wifi all day when home.    It's inconvenient but it's either completely reboot it with iTunes (which doesn't work for her) or buy a new phone and she won't do that either.
So...Apple is saying that she didn't have to do the updates either and could've stayed with the previous iOS     but !!!too late now!!!  We've updated because we think our phones will run better but the ios6 just made it a pita for users
I wonder if the hackers of the world are having as many issues as the peeps who are just trying to use their wifi??
