Iphone 4 looses battery charge every night

For the last two nights after charging my phone....when I wake up my phone is all the way dead.
I've closed off all of my notifications or anything that draws battery power when phone is just sitting.
It's happened the last 2 weeks.
Phone is an Iphone4...

Yes it does a full charge all the time.
At night I unhook the phone and put it in bed so I can get up when phone alarm goes off.
So at night it starts out at 100 percent then it's 0 percent when I wake up....
So charging cable works fine as I have two of them as I have ipad too...
My new iphone will be here in a month...but I need to deal with the immediate issue at hand now...which is a dead phone issue that works at night. BTW..when I got up I put it on charge and it charged to 100percent in 30 minutes which is very fast. As of now my phone is on 92 percent (apps turned off)...So what does that mean?

  • HT1476 why dose my battery need to be charge every night because it runs out

on my new phone my battery runs out fast why

I have always charged my iPhone every night since day one beginning with the original iPhone released over 5 years ago and the same for every other cell phone I've owned since I prefer beginning each day with a fully charged battery.

  • IPhone 4S is getting warm and loosing battery charge iOS5.1

This happened yesterday and is happening now. iPhone becomes pretty warm to touch and battery charge starts to drop at a rate ~1%/min. This is unhealthy, anybody else having this?

Try to turn off wifi and bluetooth when you're not using it. Try this and see if it helps a bit

  • Battery Charging all night and only reaches 95% - Iphone 5 6.0.2

    Hello
Has anyone experienced this problem. I turn on Airplane mode and connect charger all night to my phone (6.0.2) and in the morning find it only 95%

Original charger that came with the phone and original cable?
Tried charging with the phone switched off? (Hold down power and slide red slider)
Charging icon appear inside battery when plugged in to wall? When plugged into computer USB?
There are a lot of things to check.

  • IPhone 5s first battery charge

I have just gotten a brand new iPhone 5s and just ran out of battery: how long should I keep it plugged-in for the first battery charge?
    iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.2

Do whatever you like. Leave it until it's fully charged if you don't need to walk away from the charger with it, or leave it on charge for as long or as little as you like. The best way to look after the battery is to stop yourself inventing rules. Lithium batteries do better when they are exercised. The only thing which you are better avoiding is to do what most people think is good:  run it down until it dies, then charge it to 100%, then run it down until it dies...   This is not good for lithium batteries.
Charge it whenever a charger is to hand, regardless of the current state of charge, and don't worry about it.

  • IPhone 6 Plus battery charging routines

Hello all, I recently upgraded my phone to an iPhone 6 Plus. I am just wondering how other people charge their iPhones, I want to optimize the charging routines now so I can guarantee the battery will hold strong. I've read different opinions on various forums regarding letting the battery deplete all the way to 0% and charge it fully, and some say to keep it between 40% and 80%. I have tried running the phone and then not charging it at night and letting it charge a little here and there. I use the iPhone heavily from 7AM to around 9PM and around that time I am still in the 50% range despite heavy use, the next day the iPhone almost lasted me through the whole day. With all my other phones I always let them die and then charged them all the way so I would start at 100% the next day. I heard that the phones "trickle charge" once they reach 100% so its not being overcharged. I am wondering how people cycle their phone batteries, and if I should ever worry about this affecting the overall performance and dependability on the battery- Thanks Patrick

My question is: what could cause the phone to stop behaving as it should after a few weeks following a clean wipe and iCloud restore?
You have one or more apps that are using energy in the background. Location Services is not an issue; it uses very little energy. Apps that receive Notifications do. And apps that run in background do. If you have the FaceBook app that is probably the culprit. But there are other possibilities.
    See: http://www.overthought.org/blog/2014/the-ultimate-guide-to-solving-ios-battery-d rain
A couple more things to note:
I don't have notifications enabled for many apps
For the notifications that I do receive, only text messages, calendar alerts (via Sunrise), Slack, TripIt, and a couple other essentials hit my lock screen.
    I don't have Facebook installed
Even if the above weren't true, the fact that the phone seems to do fine for some amount of time after a restore, and then unexpectedly halves battery life is still bizarre. I don't materially change anything about my behavior.
Lawrence, I'll note that I've actually done everything in that guide save for turning off my battery percentage (for obvious reasons).

  • MacBook losing battery charge over night

    Hi there,
I've had my new MacBook for about a week and a half and when I first removed it from the box, the battery wasn't full. 6 out of 8 lights indicated this on the side of the machine. And last night I was using it while I had it plugged into the adapter so I know it was fully charged. Yet in the morning I had the power cale in still and plugged into the power supply with the switch off (UK socket with on/off switch). The thing is that it had gone down to 95% over the last 12 hours that I didn't use it(MacBook being turned off and not in sleep or anything). Has anybody experienced this before? Would it be worth my time sending the battery back?
    Thanks.

he thing is that it had gone down to 95% over the last 12 hours that I didn't use it

  • TS4062 should the battery be replaced after 1 year im using a iphone 4S my battery charging line is RED!

    my battery is showing red

    Is this to be expected?
If I take this to an Apple Authorized center will it get replaced or do I need to buy a battery?
It is certainly not to be expected. However, if you are past your 1-year warranty, it will be difficult to get the battery replaced at no cost to you. It won't hurt to try, though.
Why does this happen? I mostly keep the MB plugged in as I use it with a current Cinema Display. Does charging it all the time this way diminish the battery?
As long as you are calibrating your battery regularly, this should not happen, even if you are plugged in most of the time. More info:

  • My new iPhone is loosing its charge. It doesn't seen to go to sleep?

My new phone isn't holding its charge.  What should I do?

    Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
    Restoring  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If no joy... Restore as New.
If the issue persists... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is suggested... Be sure to make an appointment first...

  • Iphone 4s is loosing battery quickly.

My Iphone is loosing battery really quickly and its bothering me heaps. Ten minutes online or on youtube and its gone down 15% or more somtimes. If i took it to apple would they replace it?

They're going to have you restore your iPhone and set it up as new and keep everything off of it for 24 hours to see if its a software issue before they replace it.
Go ahead and backup and do that first before you take it to the Apple Store to be sure they don't send you away to do something simple and make you come back

  • 1% battery decrease every 5 minutes

Is it normal for my new iPhone 4 to loose 1% battery charge every 5 minutes of surfing via wi-fi?

YEs Lawrence that is the case but it should not be happen when you are just letting the phone sit with nothing running in the background and screen brightness only half ways and many features off that is not how the phone is tested or set up .. you pretty much have to keep location settings off otherwise it drains even fast .. i can prove this because in the case logs i see location log file that shows that something is constantly being taken from the phone even when in standby and using the memory at a high level which contributes to the reduction in battery life.. you can stop sugar coating a massive issue with a vast majority of users ...

  • Iphone 4s not taking charge

Left my iPhone 4s on the charger over night as usual. This morning...10% battery warning. Used a different charger, not working. Plugged into my iMac, iTunes not "seeing" it, nor is it being acknowledged on the desk top.
Latest versions of all iOS, and Mac software are installed.
    Now what?

Make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby since it sounds like there is a hardware problem.

  • My iphone reboots when on charge everynight ?

my Iphone 5 has started rebooting every night while on charge appears since latest software update how do i stop this

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps.
If this does not work, set it up as new device, explained here:
