Iphone 4 MacBook Pro

Hi! So I just bought a MacBook Pro how can I transfer just my music from my iPhone 4 to my Macbook without deleting anything?

well airplay is suppose to be broken or not supported so
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2577754&tstart=90
that could be a part of the problem
but that passcodes are not displayed sounds more like you're atv is not on the same subnet as
your friends computers
so it's a network setup issue

  • Same iMessage/ Facetime for iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro

    Hello everybody,
I'm having issues with my iPhone / Macbook Pro and iPad as I want to have the same iMessage and Facetime for these 3 devices.
(It means receiving a message/call at the same time on my iPhone, Macbook Pro and my iPad.)
I tried to enter the same ID but it says that my email is already in use... =@
For sure it is in use !!
I've configured my iPhone with my Apple ID and my Gmail account (+ phone number) and I want to use also my Gmail account on my iPad and my MBP so as to receive on my 3 devices the same message and sync at the same time...
If someone is trying to reach me, he won't know if I'm near my iPad xor my iPhone xor my MBP... !!!!
If we can't have the same process running on these 3 devices and sync at the same time, it's very stupid and unproductive... !
Please, could somebody help me out ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Firstly, I logged into my apple id a/c and cleaned up, deleted, the email accounts that were associated with the account that were several awaiting verification. I then added and verified from within the apple id the relevant emails that I needed.  The tip here is to create the emails first, google lets you create multiple emails, as do others i believe.
I  had set up gmail accounts for mynameipad@gmail, mynameimac@gmail, mynameairbook@gmail, so basically you need to have a separate email for each device.
Then within Face Time settings on each device, use same apple id but under "you can be reached by face time at:" you add the relevant email  that you want people to use to call you on that device.
Also I tuned off some settings within mackeeper, like safe browsing (if u have this i'd suggest you deinstall it first, see other topics on mackeep) as this was causing the face time connection from my macair to fail.
I hope this gets you sorted.
    Regards

  • Iphone macbook pro trouble

Cna you help me understand how to pair my iphone 4 with my new macbook pro running lion via bluetooth.  I have tried the same connection technique that I have used to successfully pair my bluetooth headset, mouse and keyboard and this isn't working.  What am i doing wrong?

Use the cable instead. You can't sync the iPhone and Mac or exchange files between them via Bluetooth anyway, so there's little point in pairing them at all. And the cable is far simpler.

  • What bussiness apps for link my ipod, iphone, macbook pro

hi, i really need help. I want to build a little retailer shop. and i want to use my ipod, iphone 4, macbook pro, imac and ipad 2. as my tools for printing, accounting, print invoices. and i want all that device link each other. so if i leave my shop and i trust it to my employee. i still can keep monitoring them through my iphone 4 or ipad 2. please any expert of this situation ?

iOS devices require different software for printing then does your Mac computers so you would need printers that are compatible with both the Mac OS X (drivers) and for your iOS devices.
For AirPrint enabled printers... Apple - iPad - Print right from your iPad with AirPrint.
Note.. not all applications support AirPrint.  iOS: AirPrint 101

  • Does iCloud calendar get wiped when my iPad/iPhone/MacBook Pro dies or gets wiped?

I have a simple question but I couldn't find the exact answer for it.
What happens if my MacBook Pro/iPad/iPhone gets wiped (recovery or reset) by accident or dies and if I try to remerge to the calendar on iCloud?
I assume that iCould will retain all the old information and an iDevice will automatically download the calandar events from iCloud when I remerge, since it seems like the same process as adding a new iDevice to the iCloud account.
Or will it also delete all the events on iCloud calendar when a device gets wiped?

  • Bluetooth and Iphone/MacBook Pro

I am so curious of why I can't transfer files (bluetooth) between an Iphone and a MacBook? I find lots of comments saying "...its not possible.." This is so frustrating...
I get an error message when trying to pair the two items (Iphone and Mac), even if I accept the code on the Iphone and they "see" each other (bluetooth sharing is on and both are discoverable). Any ideas of what I am missing out on?
    Thanks in advance, anyone!

The only Bluetooth profiles present on the iPhone are Headset, Handsfree, A2DP (stereo BT), and Personal Area Network (PAN). It does not have any profiles for file transfer.

  • Just a general comment, I've gone totally Apple--iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad and iPod.  I'm seriously thinking of going back after a few years since I've spent a fortune and can't change now.  If Apple is so bloody wonderful, why do they suck so badly?

As a continuation above, who are the people who have been praising Apple to the heavens?  For those of us who aren't tech-savvy, Apple totally blows.  There is next to nothing intuitive about their products and they seem giddy about giving their customers extra steps for everything.  Why can't I sync my iPhone seamlessly?  Why do I always run the risk of deleting my music when I want to sync?  Why are there so many steps in creating ringtones?  Why does the right-click on the mouse have so few options?  Why do I have to click upwards of twenty times on desktop icons to get the file to emerge?  Again, I'm not a techie but it seems that Apple is made for people with master's degrees in software programming.  I've spent a small fortune on Apple products because Microsoft has become a lumbering dinosaur populated by zit-covered nerds with no concept of how the general public works.  Do I go back, especially with that abortion, Windows 8?  Or do I wait for the next iteration since Microsoft can only create a decent product with every other release?
I'd like to know what others think.  Granted, I'm upset right now, but I've been getting more and more frustrated with Apple.  We need a third company out there, kinda like a third political party.

why do i even bother posting on this.. i just got a correct response from the help team. yes i can do something about it. get a new processor, exchange, sell or replace. that's the answer i was looking for.
i CAN do something about it, just like i could with my windows laptop, iphone and old ipod. It's sorted.
I got the response I was looking for. It's not an issue. New models come out all the time, i agree, but i have exchanged and sorted this out every time, like my iphone 4 to the 4S. and an apple advisor helped me with this.
My question was a genuine question - and funnily enough - the Apple helpline thought it was too.

  • Back up iPhone to iCloud and Macbook Pro?

I recently had to restore my iPhone, and it was from my MacBook Pro cause I don't know how to restore it from iCloud. Is there a way to back it up on both devices?

Well I haven't updated my signature. I think all of my contacts got swiped from iCloud when I was trying to sync them all to my iPhone, Macbook Pro, and iPad 2. So I'm hoping if I restore, they will come back. How do I restore from iCloud?

  • Not able to sync iPhone, iPad, Macbook Pro

I have followed all the inforamtion that Apple has to do with syncing the ipad, iphone, Macbook Pro, but they don't seem to read each other by wi-fi. All of them work just fine on their own but not together. The ipad does sync somethings such as contacts, email etc. with my iphone but I cannot get them to share photos or videos I have taken.
I have iphone 4s using the current OS updated
I have iPad 2 using the current updated OS
I have a Macbook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 OS 10.9 Maverick all been updated
I have enabled photo stream on all. Any ideas what may be wrong?
    Thanks- Todd

All devices are on wifi and it has been several days since I took the photos/videos I want to share. I have done everything the way Apple says but the photos/videos are not sharing. I'm guessing I overlooked something... Not sure what.

  • Using Internet Sharing on Macbook Pro 17" (intel) with the iPhone

    Hi,
i like to use Internet Sharing on my Macbook Pro 17" (intel) with OS X Leopard.
Enabling Internet Sharing on Leopard works just fine. I share my Ethernet Connection with the Airport.
I can connect to the Airport sharing the connection with multiple devices.
It does however not work with the iPhone.
The phone can see the network. It even connects and gets its lease (IP Adress / etc)...
I did open a terminal and did ping the iphone. Doing that i disconnected the iphone from the wifi network and connected again. I found out that immediately after connecting the connection is working (ping reply) for about 2 or 3 seconds and then there is no reply... Sometimes it is working... but 99% of the connections dont work... (working for 2 seconds and then no reply)
This is only with the Internet Sharing on the Macbook Pro (intel) in combination with the iPhone. I did not have any other wifi problems with the iPhone or with Internet Sharing on my Macbook Pro.

    Hi,
    thank you for your posts!
Nathan C: Did you notice this issue occurring when you were using Mac OS X 10.4?
Yes! I did not get it to work with Tiger also.
mucmac: just solved the issue by setting the channel for airport under Airport Options in sys prefs>sharing>internet sharing from Automatic to a specific channel
    lazarus: Doesn't work for me.
    and not for me
Richard Cartledge: Maybe it is a Leopard issue?
I think its a Macbook Pro / iPhone issue. Because other clients work well also the iPhone works on a Powerbook using Internet-Sharing.
Aaron@SODE: No luck for me! Tried every Channel and every MacBook Pro and MacBook in the company. The only Internet Sharing working is a PowerBook G4 running Leopard 10.5.1. iPhone works with the Powerbook without any problem.
The same applies to me! I really think it is a problem with the iPhone / Macbook Pro.
mucmac: what model of macbook Pro do you use? I cant get it to work on a Macbook Pro 17"

  • How do I have my notes that I create appear on all my devices? Or when I change a note it adjusts them. (iPad, iPhone, Macbook)

I have tried looking on how to have my notes "sync" to appear on all of my devices (iPad, iPhone, Macbook Pro). When I create a note on my Macbook Pro it does not appear on my iPad or iPhone. I also read several posts about an "On my Phone" notes section on my iPhone. I don't have that on there either. My default email for my notes is my iCloud account. Why are none of my notes there either. Help

  • Late 2006 MacBook Pro and Lion

Late 2006 MacBook Pro (2.16 Ghz Core 2 Duo w/ 3 GB RAM).
I'd like to run Lion on it so I can use iCloud to sync calendars, contacts etc between it and my Mac Pro, iPad and iPhone
MacBook Pro is old I know, but I'm not at the stage of being able to replace it. It's currently running Leopard. I'm getting different answers from Apple as to whether it could run Lion or or not.
Anyone had experience running Lion on an older machine like this?
    Thanks!

    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • HT4968 can't delete events on my MacBook Pro iCloud Calendar

Have iCloud; have iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad.  Can't delete event from iCal with MacBook.

You haven't said what system you are using (please do when you have a query). The upgrade to the new MobileMe calendar produces different results, and different problems, with different versions of OSX.
Lion: the 'Calendar sync' checkbox has been removed from System Preferences>MobileMe>Sync as iCal no longer uses this method to sync and it's therefore redundant. Calendar 'syncing' (actually iCal reads the calendars from the MobileMe server) is now handled in a new Preference Pane, 'Mail, Contacts & Calendars' - please see this Apple Tech Note for instructions on setting this up:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4758
If you have upgraded to Lion and are having trouble syncing you should try removing your login details and re-entering them.
Snow Leopard: during the upgrade process your iCal calendars should be moved to MobileMe (this can take some time and you have to wait for it to happen). Once done, your iCal reads the calendars from MobileMe so any changes made in either place will be visible immediately. If this has not happened then this Apple Tech Note provides instructions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3397
Leopard: when the upgrade is completed iCal on Leopard will not be able to see the MobileMe calendars until an additional process is carried out, detailed in this Apple Tech Note:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4330
Tiger: iCal on Tiger cannot read the MobileMe calendars, period. The only workaround is to upgrade to Leopard, or Snow Leopard if possible (Intel Mac required).

  • I have a macbook pro version 10.7.5 and my mailbox will not open at all and comes up with a quit message even though it is not open. how can i get into my account. it works on my iPhone an i have internet and all other functions working on my computer

I have a macbook pro version 10.7.5 and my mailbox will not open at all and comes up with a quit message even though it is not open. how can i get into my account. it works on my iPhone and i have internet and all other functions working on my computer

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports (not "Diagnostic and Usage Messages") for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. I know the report is long. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.
