Messages will not download when I am not connected to wifi

I have an iphone 4 and my wife has the one having the problems. Both have the same settings. My 32gb works ok but my wifes 8gb doesn't. Both are with Telstra (carrier)

That doesn't sound like you bought it from a legimate source with a receipt from the Apple store.
that sounds like you bought it off a person either thru craiglist or ebay.

It doesn't sound like the Exchange environment is configured in a manner to support these types of clients very well. Have your Exchange team look at the following

From the latter article: "Communications applications can connect to a corporate Exchange service
configured to require certificate-based authentication. User authentication certificates can be provisioned to Windows 8.1 devices by administrators or end-users can browse to certificate and install to user certificate storage."
You might want to:
Ask your Exchange team the public URLs (ExternalURL) for Exchange OWA & ActiveSync
Open the OWA URL in your Internet Explorer from your Surface
If you get a Certificate warning, open the certificate and select Install (NOTE: You may have to install the entire certificate chain). Your desktop support team should be able to support this because it is the SAME process for standard Windows 8x
desktops.
Confirm that you can open OWA on your surface with no more certificate or security warnings. NOTE: The Exchange team will have to configured OWA properly.
Once confirmed, repeat the same steps for the activesync URL that they provided.
When done, try using the OWA OR ActiveSync URL value in your settings of your Mail client.

Its very disappointing that bbm is not working on bb.

Can you try sending a BBM friend a PIN message, not in BBM, but in your Compose Message > PIN.
You will need that contact's BBM PIN number...
Do you see the message sent, and does it hae a D beside or R afterwards?

After a while it tells then me that it cannot verify my email address because of a network connection ("Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again. ")
Does anyone have any ideas?

I wasn't trying to access the internet. I was trying to back up I cloud. It said it would back up when connected to Wi-Fi. Also it will not down load software updates.

Email on iPhone 4 will not work on wi-fi

iPhone 4 will not use wi-fi for email and I live in a mobile black spot.
My iPad works ok over the same wi-fi network.
Browsing on the iPhone is ok on the same network.
The settings on iPhone and iPad are identical for sending and receiving mail.
If the wind is blowing in the right direction and I set my phone in a south facing window (as soon as I pick it up the signal goes) it works over the 3G but it is very flaky.
Latest iOS loaded 4.3.3 (8J2)
Anybody come across this?

Go to Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. If that doesn't work try Backing up and restoring the iPhone with iTunes on computer. If it still not working then you may be having a hardware issue ..you then will want to call apple and find out your warranty status

Iphone 4 will not work

I have an iphone 4 that i bought about two weeks ago from a cell phone repair place. It was working fine up until this morning. I woke up this morning and unplugged my phone from the charger. It was fine then. I went to go to work this morning and my phone would not work. I tried restarting it, but when it gets to the screen where you have to hold and drag the icon it freezes. when i try to shut it off the power button won't work forcing me to restart it. When I plug it into a charger it won't even go the the first screen, it just restarts itself over and over again. I don't know what is wrong with it but I have no idea what to do. please help.

Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if it appears.
If that will not work, then you need to take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs check it.
You could take it back to the store where you bought it but it sounds like they do not know exactly what they are doing.

Volatile DLU will not work over wired interface.

I've got a weird one that has me stumped. We've got a DLU policy that is working well for our teacher accounts. It is set to user user source credentials, is not volatile, and hasn't caused us issues.
We're starting to move over and get new Windows 7 machines on the student workstation side. For our students, attempting to get a volatile DLU user set up, with a cache. In testing on desktop machines, it is failing. I'm working now on testing with a laptop and the weirdest thing keeps happening. The DLU policy applies and logins work great with a test student user - but only when attached to the wireless network. Over the wired interface (with wireless completely off), it will not work. The novell client login works, then the dreaded Zen login box comes up, with the name of the volatile login account (that should be local) in the user box. It will not go forward from that point unless I put in a local user name/password. If I do this, I can login thru the zen icon all day long, over the wired interface. This is very similar to the issues we are having on the student workstation machines, or I would just call it odd and move on.
I've simplified out my network locations to just be one network for now, so that is out as a cause. Completely disabling the wireless adapter, so that it does not show in the zmg-messages log at all did not help either. I can remote control it in that state, and it talks to ZCC.
The servers are 11.2.2 - Vmware Appliances, have not applied the monthly updates but have them in the queue. Agent the same on the workstation. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

OK - Got this solved. Had applied a registry edit for teacher laptops in the summer based on this TID Support | How to configure "Computer Only Logon If Not Connected" functionality . The login issues only occurred after a teacher account had logged in. The student workstation image had the wired interface listed as 'Public', which caused the novell client to passthru and silently not attempt the login, hence the odd behavior. Oops. Have now limited that regedit to only applying to the teacher laptop workstations. Since these are some of our first student workstations, its not reared its head before. Oh well.

IPhone 4s will not join Netgear wireless network at home

Since my upgrade to iPhone 4s & OS 5 my phone will not connect to wireless network @ home via a Netgear router: asks for password & then tells me it's an incorrect password. My iMac, iPad & MacBook are all able to join this network, as is my husband's iPhone (one generation older). In addition, my new phone will connect to wireless at work. Any help would be so welcomed!!

since you join with iphone 4s? you mean upgrade to iOS 6?
