IPhone 4 Mic Problem - Receivers and/or callers can't hear me
Hi everyone
I'm using iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1. I've noticed lately (not sure since which software updates) that my phone sometimes wouldn't be able to hear the person on the other side (the caller when they called me or the receiver when I called them). I have to turn the power off and back on to be able to hear again. And sometimes it takes more than one time reboot to get it back.
Yes, I did drop the phone numerous times and I suspect this is the cause? I've done some googling myself and found some options to 'fix' the screw next to camera. But problem is, I don't see any screw near the camera. So I'm guessing that wasn't for iPhone 4? I don't know!
Is this common problem in iPhones or just mine (and very few others)? Has anyone found the solution? If you do please share.

I upgraded from a 4S to a 5C and didn't realize that I was holding the new phone differently. In my situation, my little finger would cover the microphone (on the bottom near the ear jack) during my calls. I had no idea I was the cause for my callers not hearing me. If you're reading this it's because you have tried everything. You might as well try this too. :-)

Ok so I got the 5c and all was fine until I updated it to 7.0.2. Now when I am in a call people can bearly hear me. I have completely restored the phone but it is still the same. It must be a software issue as I have realised that if you cover the small hole on the rear by camera people can then hear me. Seems others may too have the same problem?
Is there another update due?

Hello i have a unusual problem,anyway my iphone 4 wont turn on and when someone calls they hear ringing,but my phone doesent ring.So i poen simcase and now ring off. Screen is just black,because it's turned off..Please help me to solve this problem..Thanks
As far as trying to power up your device, make sure it has a good charge and then hold the button on the top of the phone and the home button on the faceplate together until the apple appears on the screen.

When I connect my iPhone 5 to my laptop and iTunes, I can't play movies from the iPhone on my computer.Why is that? Can I do this or it's not possible with iPhone5? With my iPod it's no problem.
Reinstall iTunes. Make sure you follow the instructions in this support document to the letter. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.
You may have some problems because Apple has not certified that everything works with Windows 8 yet. -

IOS5 on iphone 4 - Callers can't hear me!

I had just installed iOS5 on my iphone 4 recently. All was working fine but now suddenly my callers can't hear me on the phone but I can hear them very clearly. The same happens when I plug in the earphones too. The microphone in the phone is working cos I have tried and I can still record voice memos.
It seems like the phone is on constant mute. Can anyone help? Thank you!
LingI'm having the same problem with my iPhone4 S. First, I'll dial out and the I hear absolute silence but my phone indicates that it's sucessfully calling out (oh...and the party on th other line can hear me but I can't hear them). I thought my phone wasn't connecting to the caller. I'll call again and but this time the callers cannot hear me but I can hear them perfectly. I hang up and make repeated attempts and then reset my phone. It works but then I have the same problem with my next call. I don't want to reset my phone before every call! Very, very irritating.
Is anyone else having these specific problems??? -
i have an ipod touch 4th genereation and have problems when i record you can barley hear the voices and sounds recording i don't know what the problem is?
sounds like ur ipod's mic is blocked with something check the back on the ipod near the back camera

My fiance logged into my iphone with his apple ID and now I can't switch it back to my username. When I go to buy an app his username is in an editable format to beable to change it back to mine. How can I change it back to mine? (when I go to setting,icloud my un/pw are there) Can someone please help? Thanks!
Had you looked in the User Guide, you would have found this: Settings>Store. Tap on AppleID to change.

After the 6.1.3 download, my iphone 4s has no itunes and a new hard-of-hearing blue screen SIRI after the 6.1.3 download. Where did the itunes app go? How do i get it back? And how can i switch back to the old gray SIRI?

Iphone6 doesn't play music (have tried obvious things like volume etc and plugged in headphones, connected to a speaker via bluetooth, and tried to play from the inbuilt speaker). Does anyone know what the problem is and how it can be resolved?
You can't buy the part from Creative as a spare.
I'm not sure how compatible other parts might be, but that would be a question for someone who really knows a lot about this area of electronics.
The Creative repair for this is likely to be expensi've, but the problem is most likely a broken solder connection than an actual new headphone socket. So if you know someone experienced in surface mount soldering you could probably get it repaired just with this. -
My iphone 5c went black screen and it still can cut on and off and it went black screen when i was on facetime with a friend and could still talk to them perfectly fine. What is the cheapest way to get it fixed or can i fix it myself without any money? I also didnt have the chance to back up my data because it went black screen out of now where.
If your phone is not covered by the warranty anymore, Apple will replace it for a new device, same model and size, if you are willing to pay the service fee.

I can't hear on Facetime for Mac and other people can't hear me. I recently downloaded Boom and I'm not sure whether it's the problem or not.
Remove it according to the developer's instructions and see whether there's an improvement. Back up all data before making any changes.

My son had the same problem with his 4 after updateing to 5.1.1. Apple would not replace it and he ended up getting a re-furb for £119.00.
He was 100% sure it was the upgrade that caused it but apple said it was the motherboard. -

Try plugging it it to see if the screen comes on. If not then you're screen is damaged.
