IPhone 4 no sound at all help please

Basically Iv got a iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1 and I dropped it and broke the back I got the back fixed and now to find my speakers or mic don't work at all the bottom one crackles some times Iv blown it out with air and still no luck ??? :(

Seems like your choices are to either restore as new (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137) or have the Apple Store evaluate it to see if it's a hardware issue first. If you choose to restore as new be sure to save any Camera Roll photos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and backup your contacts, either in a supported client (Outlook 2003/2007/2010, Mac Address Book, etc) or using an app like My Contacts Backup, before wiping your phone since these are not included in your iTunes library. No sound form :
- Speaker?
- Headphones?
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have a 4s, and I've had that problem, too. I've tried every method mentioned on the boards. If Ellips's suggestion didn't work, try this, and please let me know if it worked:
(I did the following while the phone was connected to my pc...if that makes a difference.)
1. On the phone, go to Music.
2. Click "More."
3. Click "Shared."
4. My phone lists "iPhone" and my iTunes Libary. Try clicking the name of your music library.
5. Wait until the circle makes its loop.
The synch still failed to complete, but all of my music was on my iPhone, again. Whew.

Do a reset by holding the power and home button until the apple logo appears ignoring the slide to power off (no data loss).

If they were purchsed by your AppleID, then they should Synch.
Nevertheless, if your issue wasn't solved and you in hurry you can try the following:
Download this application http://www.ipod-to-computer.net/ibooks-transfer.html.
Export all books to desktop + uses iTunes to import them into Library + Synch the books again to your iPad.

Oh dear i have heard this one before its not good news what has happened it when you plug your earphones into iPod the earphones must obviously touch all connectors and what can happen to the odd person out is the tip of your earphones,
(The right ear) can push the ipod jack connector forward so now the tip cant reach the connector, yet the bottom and middle connectors cant be pushed in because they are on the side, not the end, this is something you need to take up with apple support if your iPod is still under warrenty

I have the same problem. The mail app doesn't work properly. Either cannot connected to the server or fail to connect. But the network is totally find and work well as i can open website.
Another problem is sync to the software, like Evernote, nustore, fail to connect to the server, cannot sync anymore.

IPhone sound problem! Help please

I bought a brand new iphone 4s yesterday, and downloaded the awesome new game Jetpack Joyride. But after playing it for a few hours, the sound effects stopped working. The music continues on, but there's no more sound. I checked if the sound was turned on in the game options and it was.
So i reinstalled the game and everything was all good, until somebody calls me. After we hung up, the sound effects dissapeared again!! My other games all have perfect sound, only Jetpack Joyride has issues.
I know my problem seems pretty insignificant, but the main reason I purchased an iphone was for the portable gaming. And having no sound effects on my favorite game really throws me off.
So please, if anyone knows how to fix this problem it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Hi all, I have recently been given a new work iphone. It was my bosses. He wants me to keep all his old contacts already on the iphone. However I will also need my old contacts from my own old phone(not iphone). I was wondering how I go about this?
This will be my first experience with iphones and so I know very little about them, however I am worried about itunes libraries. If I try to update my iphone software etc using itunes will I lose all my bosses contacts from the phone since I will obviously be using a new itunes library that is not his!

You'll need to restore your phone from the latest backup you made before he synced his phone.
To check if there is still a backup you can use, do this:
Open iTunes Preferences:
Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences.
Mac: Choose iTunes > Preferences.
Click Devices (the iOS device doesn't need to be connected).
iTunes will show the phone number, IMEI, and serial number of the backed up iPhone when you position your mouse pointer over a backup (iTunes shows only the serial number for iPad and iPod touch). You can use this to find the backup you want to use.
Then restore from that backup by following this article:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
Do the same with his device after that, using his old backup.
If you can't find one, set it up as new device without using any backup.

I have been through it all with setting everything up how it says. YES BLUETOOTH IS ON!

What MacBook Pro year do you have? It has to be at least Mid-2012 per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6337 for Continuity/Handoff to work.

This is my first time and I really need help ......so I got this huge problem on my iPhone 5c well music is my everyday thing and since yesterday I noticed my left earphone was playing extremely loud other than the right and I have the volume on 1 I've tried everything I tried more than 5 earphones and it's the same problem I'm thinking something happened inside the music input I need help I have to go to school putting the hearing mono and the right cause If I put it on the left it will just sound so loud and crapy anyone please help!!!!

5C and all the bits in the box have a 12 month warranty
