IPhone 4 not receiving emails.

My iPhone 4 stopped downloading emails last Friday.  I have never had any problems before and have not changed any settings. I have received several hundred emails since then; I can get them on the PC but not the iPhone? Any suggestions?

Lewis011, wondering if you ever figured out the magically fix. I am having the same exact problem. Everything mentioned here has been tried. April 12th was the last day I received mail in my Inbox (Go Daddy) account. I switched to an IMAP account the end of March and got everything set up on my Mac and iPhone with the intention of adding an iPad shortly. This happened and now I don't know!
I have deleted the account numerous times. Not only deleted the account but then restarted and the added it back in. I have been working with an Apple advisor and we have tried various port settings which I had also tried before contacting Apple for support. I can send mail from the account but cannot recieve in the Inbox.
Here's the kicker, on the Mac, I can move an email from the Inbox into one of my various folders I have made. Then go to my iPhone and go to that folder and there is the email. So I can see recent emails if I move them into folders but I cannot see those same emails in the Inbox.
I would be so grateful for any extra advise from anyone.

  • Iphone will not receive emails

I recently changed my password on both my yahoo account and itunes account.  i have an ipad and an iphone.   My ipad is receiving emails under my old password, and my iphone will not receive emails under the new or old password.  when I try to enter password for email under setting on iphone, it gives me the message that the yahoo server is unavailable.  again, my ipad has no problems receiving emails nor does my wife on her iphone.

I don't have any other email accounts on my phone and I don't get any type of error message.  It just says "Checking for Mail" and I receive nothing, so I know that it is accessing my work email system.  I haven't made any changes to my account.  I only accepted the message to update my carrier system.....I do have an appointment with the local Verizon store to see if they can help.
Just FYI, my Exchange email account still works on my iPad, so I'm pretty sure the settings are correct.

  • IPhone 4 not receiving email

Yesterday my phone stopped receiving email across all my accounts (iCloud, gmail, and a corporate Exchange account).  I did a full restore but used the backup from this morning (the backup was from after I stopped receiving emails).  Still not receiving emails.  Do I need to set up the phone again without the backup?  Or is there something else I can try?

  • IPhone 4s not receiving email/push notifications?

I have two hotmail and one gmail account on my iPhone and for the last 3-4 weeks I haven't been able to get new emails automatically without having to actually go into the Mail app to refesh. I've seen on other forums that I can move all emails to a subfolder and resend myself an email and this has not worked. Please help.

The easist thing to start off with is to check your mail fetch settings.
HT4146 About cellular data usage has step by step for a setting up your fetch settings.
Basically you want to do this:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars > Fetch New Data >
Ensure that "Push" is enabled, I think hotmail supports Push now.
    Then below, see Fetch:
Set to a time you think is good for you, remember, more often means more battery usage.
    Then below that: see Advanced,
Click into that, and click "Gmail" and ensure that is set for Fetch and not Manual.
Another article sugguests that you may also need to register the device with Hotmail.

    I hope this helps.

  • My Mac is not receiving emails, but my iPhone receives emails. How can I fix this?

I have a MacBook Pro Retina with OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. I recently tried to send a large file through the iCloud email drop. The email stayed in my outbox for a day and made my email app extremely slow. The email never sent, so I deleted the email from my outbox and restarted the program. Now, my email is no longer receiving any emails. The same email account on my iPhone receives emails, but my Mac email program will not receive emails. I've restarted the program and the Mac, but nothing has resolved the problem. Any suggestions???

  • Not receiving emails on iMac, iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and macBook Air.

When we purchased our MacBook Air a couple of months ago, we could not receive emails. We have spoken with Comcast and they made sure our settings were okay on their end. In my screwing around on my iMac password, we now are not also receiving home emails. We are set up in iCloud.

    Hey there Wolfeden6,
If you are still unable to get your email on your iPhone, and your iOS devices, I would first recommend using this article to help with your Mac Mail program. It walks you through using the Connection Doctor to help diagnose the connection issue.
OS X Mail: Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages
And for your iOS devices, this is the article I would recommend:
Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
To make sure that you're connected to the Internet, open Safari and go to www.apple.com.
Log in to your email provider's website to make sure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Make sure your settings are correct using Mail Settings Lookup.
    Restart your iOS device.
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Tap the affected email account.
    Tap Delete Account.
    Add your account again.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • TS3899 Since I updated my iphone, I am not receiving email on my .mac account.  What's wrong?

Since I updated my iphone to I0S6, I am not receiving email on my .mac account.  What's wrong?

Tim, I was speaking generally. Obviously the iOS upgrade didn't remove the ability to charge on ALL 3rd party devices, else my iH9 wouldn't charge it either.
What I just can't understand is how an old iHome model works just fine with a new iPhone, yet a new iHome model will not. If anything, I would think it would be the other way around.
Anyway, I emailed iHome explaining my situation and I asked if they had planned on releasing a firmware update to fix the problem. I got the typical generic response about unplugging the iHome & removing the batteries for an hour then trying again. And if that doesn't work, send it in for repair in which I would need to pay for the shipping.
If I decide to go that route, I think it's just going to be a waste of time as I would get the iHome back "repaired" and it would have the exact same problem. But I guess I'll never know until I try.
I remember reading on these forums about several others having the same problem. So what are the odds that the iHomes these other people got who are experiencing the same problem are problematic as well? Unless the "repair" iHome is referring to is a firmware update, I don't really buy into this.

After accepting the carrier update yesterday my iPhone 5s will not receive emails via my work Exchange system.  I can send emails, but can not receive.  I deleted my account and added it back with the directed provided by our Corporate IT, but I still can't receive emails.  I've hard booted and soft booted my phone several times to no avail.  What else can I do to help remedy this situation?

    Hello kurt142,
There could be a few things that could be causing your issue with not able to get mail. To get it sorted out, take a look at the article below to go over some troubleshooting options to get it back up and running again. You may need to remove and add the email account back in.
