my iphone 4 is not staying connected to the m1424wr router. how do i start the process with FIOS to check the rouret or get it swapped out?

What version of code do you have on the IPHONE? So, you could be in the middle of downloading email and it will disconnect? What are you seeing? The reason I ask is I have had different rev's of Actiontec, different apple devices and never really had a problem outside of some software fixes I've seen.
Do you live in a house or apartment? Is there interference from other wireless LAN deviecs?

When Yosemite came out I downloaded it to my Macbook Pro with retina and I've had no problem with it. Now when I did it to my dad's non retina Macbook Pro, he seems to be having trouble staying connected. Whenever he's online he keeps telling me he keeps getting booted off and has to go and reselect the wireless only to be kicked off again. As of lately that same problem has carried over to my iPhone and sometime it will jump back on the wifi or it will eventually prompt me to select the network again and it will reconnect. I'm not sure why this is doing this all of a sudden and wonder if their's any solutions. Also, I have another question up following the same type of question but it has to do with the wireless and I'll leave that down below. But I wonder if it's too many devices? There's my iPhone, my mom's iPhone, her iPad, my Mac, my dad's Mac, his phone, his work laptop, an Xbox One, a PS4, and possibly his cell phone. You could say we're pretty connected. Out of all those devices connected, only my mom's iPad, my phone, the Xbox and PS4, alongside my dad's Mac are the things mainly being used. The other iPhone and work laptop and cell phone aren't on the network frequently and are usually in sleep mode, if not turned off.

Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

Blue Light In Center of Router - Not staying connected

Hello - We bought the N Ultra Rangeplus and it's been a nightmare. Have spoke with Tech Support 3 times and all they want to do is charge you $10 to get into your computer instead of tell you what to do over the phone. Have 3 computers - 2 laptops (an XP and Vista) and a desktop (XP). Last night all were fine.
Today the laptop Windows Vista will not stay connected and on the router the mysterious center button now has a blue dash where last night it didn't. Of course they include NO instructions and you can't just type in this question as it asks everything but what you need. Sometimes this button turns orange and the Vista keeps connecting and disconnecting.
What's going on?

The button in the middle of the router is WPS...
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is a standard for easy and secure establishment of a wireless network. iPad 3 and iPhone 5 will not stay connected to wifi although I am close to router and have strong signal. I have to keep joining the network or restarting devices or forgetting network and rejoining it. As a side note my 1st gen iPhone which I upgraded to iPhone 5 yesterday always stayed connected!

The steps to try would be to:
1. Restore the iPhone to Factory.
2. If that does not solve the problem replace the iPhone.
If Verizon is offering to replace the iPhone for free under warranty I would go with that option.

Why is my ipad3 not staying connected to and remembering my password to router

After upgrading to ios 6.0.1 my ipad3 has a few problems.
1. The internet is slow slow slow...to connect to even common websites, like Apple, Google etc.
2. It is not staying connected to my router for wireless and is forgetting the password for
   connection to the router.
Other computers(ipad1 and pc's) in the house do stay connected and do not have the slowness to
connect to sites.
I have done resets, cleared history and cookies and so on but nothing seems to make any
difference.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I have an iPhone 4 on the telus network running the latest version of the os 4.3.3. My phone will not stay connected to the Internet most of the time. It looses connection and won't reconnect until I turn on airplane mode and then turn it back off. It also looses connection if I have wifi on and it detects a network but choose not to connect to it. I have restored my phone and it fixed the problem for half a day before it started again. I only have a couple months warranty left, is this covered do you think?

Iphone does not stay connected to wi-fi.

When using apps or when in sleep mode my iphone does not stay connected to my wi-fi. All other items within the house have no issues with staying connected to my wi-fi.

By design, when entering sleep mode, the iPhone will disconnect from WiFi to conserve battery. If you want the WiFi connection to remain persistent, plug your phone into a power source.

IPhone 5s can connect to wireless WIFI router but can not access internet.

The admin says the router lets my iPhone connect to LAN, but the iPhone does not have server IP to access the internet. I entered the server IP and port number in the HTTP PROXY fields but I still can not access the web. Any ideas?

You IT person should be able to sort this out. But, they seems to be too busy or disinterested to do this. Suggest you provide the it person with an iPhone to get interested.
Any could be lots of things.
The best you can do is to get access to the admin setup for networking on a pc? The internet settings are all the same. Only what names the manufactures change from OS to OS. Check and compare parameters.
Phone works to internet at home, I assume?

Iran uses GSM, so the iPhone 5 will work. It is already unlocked. Just put local Iranian SIM in phone.

Iphone will not stay connected "invalid response received from the device."

I have an older iPhone (8gb) and for some reason whenever I plug it into the usb port on my computer it will not stay connected whatsoever. Itunes freaks out, it'll come up for a little bit and then just as soon as it appeared, 'Josh's iPhone' disappears. When I say "won't stay connected" I mean you'll hear the "new usb device" sound over and over again continuously and the iPhone goes crazy too. Like it's connected, disconnecting, connecting, disconnecting, etc.. Also I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I put ringtones on the phone as well, I tried adding about 5 or 6 of them through itunes and it only uploaded two of them, except one of those two appears FOUR TIMES.

Okay, after the updates I am still having the same problem. I'll try explaining it as detailed as possible, hoping somebody has an answer because this is pretty weird to me.
-I have 5 files, Ringtone1.m4r, Ringtone2.m4r, Ringtone3.m4r, Ringtone4.m4r and Ringtone5.m4r.
-I add them to the "ringtones" section under "Devices"
-ON ITUNES they show up perfectly fine. In order, and if I play them through itunes, all the ringtones are correct, just how they should be.
-I eject iPhone, go to settings > sounds > ringtone, and under custom, what I see is:

I am so flippen ticked. I have been a iPhone, 3, 4,4S user for ever. I now made the mistake of going to an iphone 5 with update to iOS 6.0.1.
I cannot keep a wi-fi connection for the life of me. Nor can I keep even the weakest of signals to my cell carrier even if the phone sits still in one spot. While at the same time my ipad 3 with iOS 6.0.1 sitting right next to the phone has been up on the same carrier and wi-fi source for hours.
I am about to through the phone in the river and swear off Apple. This is frustrating after I use to talk about how good an iPhone was. Very Very disapointed.

IPhone 4S not staying connected to wifi?

I have both iPad and iPhone connected to same wifi, but my iPhone 4S does not stay connected. I have tried to reset network, restart iPhone and they do connect but disconnects shortly afterwards. Can anyone help me?

Did you solve this problem? My new MacBook Pro 15" running 10.8.2 has exactly the problem you describe with our new Netgear N600. The other devices in our house (iMac running 10.5, a PC and an iPhone 3Gs) have no connectivity probelms at all.
I have no problem connecting with my MBP at work or elsewhere. The problem is just at home with the N600.
