Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

I am so sorry to hear about the situation, lilvtric3bo1! I apologize as we do not have access to the GPS capabilities of the phone. Do you remember downloading any other 3rd party tracking apps?

HT4061 iPhone not turning on

i have a iPhone 4, i was installing a application called istragram, the application not installing & hanged, i switched off my iPhone, after that my phone is not turning on. Now only Apple logo display. i tried switch off & home bottom hold 1minutes, but no result, now only apple logo dispaly.
Pls. help me.
i did i see the apple logo but it is not on .. am afraid that something is wrong with it. pls help me.

Sounds like a hardware problem. I suggest you take it to Apple and have them check it out for you.

You did not describe the problem very well. Go to iCloud.com, log in with your Apple ID, and select Find My iPhone. Click All Devices In the header. Do you see your iPhone in the device list? If not, Find My iPhone was activated using a different Apple ID.

White Flashing Screen, iPhone not turning on

I setup the new itunes software 7.3, and now it cannot play any music back. There is a warning that says audio playback will not work.
Then i went through the activation steps to setup the iPhone, and since i am coming over from Alltel, Apple said i will be notified via e-mail when i can finish activation (in 24 hours).
After that, i started dragging and dropping music and video to my iPhone. when it was done i selected the eject button.
Now when i try to turn my iPhone on, it stalls for a white, and a white screen pops up randomly. I've tried all the reset steps.
The message said i could start using the features, but apparently i can't even get the iPhone to boot up.
Whenever i plug in the iPhone, and try to select the iPhone, the only ting i get is the cell phone message abotu activation, i can't see any tabs or anything.
PLEASE HELP!!

the message in itunes told me you coudl use the features. i just now put it in the docking station plugges into my power oulet, and the same thing happened: a quick white blinking scree, then nothing.

Lost iPhone - Not Turned On

Hi,
I lost my iPhone a few days ago. As far as I can tell, it has yet to be turned on. Calls go right to voice mail. Does this mean it has yet to be reset or jail broken or somehow wiped and resold to someone else?
I don't know how it works when someone finds a phone and decides to use it for themselves or sell it to someone else. It does have the screen locked, so you need a password to get into it once turned on.
How do these things work?

If your phone is turned off or restored, there is no way to locate it. Contact your carrier, see if they offer blacklisting, if so, that will prevent the phone's reactivation, but not locate it. Even though you passcode protected the phone, change all of your passwords...especially your Apple ID & email.
Your phone can be restored, in iTunes, then used by whoever found it or sold to an unsuspecting buyer. If blacklisted, it will most likely be shipped out of the country, hacked if carrier locked, then re-sold.

Original iphone not turning on

i just got the new iphone 3gs and switched out my sim card of the original iphone to the new one, and now my original one won't turn on. it keeps showing the apple symbol then turn back off. i have dropped it but i know that's not the problem. does any 1 know what i should do. i still want to keep the original iphone.

Have you tried resetting your iPhone?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

I went to the apple in Israel, but they told me that the U.S.A guarantee in Israel is not working. what do I do? next week I'm flying to Spain. can I come to apple in Spain or that you advise me?

This is not an Apple forum, this is iPhone users helping other users with hardware problems. Apple does not have an international warranty. Warranty service is only provided by Apple in the country in which the phone was purchased, the US in your case. The phone cannot be mailed internationally to the US, it must be brought in person to an Apple store. See if you can contact someone you trust and let them have it examined in the US.
But perhaps you should try something simpler first. Describe the exact problem you are having with each iPhone (in Hebrew, if that is your native language) and let someone on this forum try to advise you. There are many languages spoken on this site.

IPhone not turning on

I have an iPhone 4 which I cannot turn on. I have tried recharging it but it makes no difference. Any ideas? When I push the on/off button nothing happens.

Did you try resetting the iPhone? Hold down the sleep and home buttons for 10 seconds until the while Apple logo appears on the screen.

Iphone not turning off

this is my second iPhone 4s I have had the same problem with. I try to switch it off, it goes into closedown (spinning wheel), then the black screen then it restarts unprompted.
As my first phone was under 12 month warranty Vodafone replaced it free of charge, I was not told the replacement was a recon and only under a 3 month warranty. Guess what? the replacement phone has gone the same way. Vodafone want £150 to replace a dodgy phone!
Can anyone help?

If the hard reset doesn't work, try forcing recovery mode.
Hold the home button and plug into your computer with iTunes open, continue to hold the home button until you get a prompt from iTunes, "A device had been detected in recover mode".
Restore the device from there.

IPhone not turning on or dying when charged

I just got my phone in February. My phone turned off last night even if the battery level was on the middle. I tried to turn it on this morning and I needed to plug the charger in just for it to turn back on ~ Come to find out it wasn't even dead. It happen again ealier today. I wasn't able to turn it on until I plugged it in. After a while I tried to turn it on again, but it didn't want to. UNTIL I pulled the plug out and put it back in again.
I never been so careful with my phone. Its been dropped once or twice with a case on and it was never too extreme. PLUS its been a long time since that happen.
Whats going on???

Help, just received my new iphone yesterday so I charged it overnight but it won't switch on, all I get is the apple sign but only when its plugged in, any suggestions or do I just have a duff phone.

I went to meteor because my phone wont turn back on when i put charger in it comes up the battery and the apple logo but wont work because its faulty or something ?
