My iphone 4 on/off switch got struck suddenly when i am about to switch off my iphone. can you help me out in this?

Not really. If the button is stuck it is a hardware malfunction and you will need to seek assistance with Apple Support.

IPhone 5 on off button having problem

my iPhone 5 on off button having problem which sometimes i have to press several times, and sometimes i have to press it hard. Did anyone having the same problem here? beacause i just use for 5 months

IPhone 4 on/off button jammed

Evening all,
I'll keep it short - my iPhone 4 on/off button has been jammed for the last couple of weeks (on within the past few days I have been unable to actually turn it off), previously I was able to but with a lot of force on the button.
I've ad the phone since Dec' 2011 and presumably it's out of warranty? Would Apple replace it for a new one or could it get costly?

Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > tap new white screen button > Device > Lock Screen. This can even be used to turn OFF iPhone. To turn iPhone ON, connect to power, charger or USB of computer.
Apple Store would handle this problem with replacement iPhone 4 exactly like yours for $149.

The iPhone warranty is only valid in the original country of purchase. You would need to ship the phone to someone you know in Singapore. This would be at your expense. Your other option is to look for a local 3rd party repair shop but this will void your remaining warranty.

My on and off button got stuck is there any way to fix it?

I have a Ipod Nano 6th Gen and i was just laying down listening to music when i tried to shuffle it by double clicking and the button got stuck. I just want to know if there is anyway to get it unstuck or will i have to get another one.

I had the same problem with my iPod touch 4th gen.
1. Reset
You can hold the on/off button and the home button at the same time. Don't release until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears. After doing this it should restart your iPod completely.
But depending on the screen problem, this may or may not work.
If the first solution doesn't work, then try this:
2. Restore
You can restore it to factory settings if you sync it with your computer.
If you can do this (sync with your iMac) then when you plug it in, go onto iTunes, and when it reconnizes your device it should have a section on the sidebar that says "iPod touch". Click on that, then click "restore iPod". It may confirm it and you will probably have to enter your Apple ID.
***Beware that with this method, all the data on your iPod will be lost***
If this does not work, and your device is now restored, don't worry, you can get the data back and your iPod will be as normal.

A reset requires a functional power button.
If the device will not power on when external power is connected, take it to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Things just break. The IPhone buttons are basically a thin plastic sticker with a thin flexible metal lining. The simple sticker slips (slides) out of place just a hair (far less than mm) and the alignment of the metal lining cannot make connection, so button does not function correctly. Things just break.

Dear All,
I have recently bought a Iphone 5 with 32 Mb and one feature that I miss from my Nokia is the on/off button on the main display, as I need to do it every day four times when going on the car to use hands free, I have checked in the Iphone 5 and it needs to go to settings, bluetooth and then on/of ( three clicks ) before I can do the operation compared to Nikia one click.
Any idea how to resolve this problem and have the on/off buttom on the main display?

I bought the iPhone 5 Black 9-10 Months ago in Amerika.Now,my phone's on/off button is broken.It does not work most of the time.What is possible to do in this situation by your company.I'm living in Turkey.

You would have to get the iphone back to someone in the U.S, then they would have to bring the iphone to Apple.

Its on its way to completely stop working. The same thing happened to me. The power button worked for a couple of days if i pressed very hard but now its not working at all. So cant lock the phone or power off. If you're still in the warranty period take it to the apple store and they will give you a new phone.

Is it physically stuck in? If it is, you will want to call AppleCare (US)
If it is not physically stuck in, then try backing up your iPhone in iTunes and then restoring it to factory settings. That will rule out any potential software problem. If it still doesn't work, you can go to the Apple Store or call AppleCare (US)

But I bought my iphone in HK, and i work in Tapei now. When I bring my phone to your care center,
they refuse to fix for me because my phone is not bought in Taipei.
As a overseas worker, how can I fly back HK to repair my phone???
