IPhone 4 original video resized when sending MMS :-(

Hello,
I was just unhappily surprised upon finding out that the original HD video I shot of my baby was resized to a lower quality when I sent it via MMS. The lower quality video was later imported into iPhoto. Is there a way to prevent the automatic resizing of the original video? I couldn't find a switch for it in Settings.

For an HD video that is larger than the overall email message size limit to be sent and received via email, you can get a YouTube account if you don't already have one and upload the video to YouTube with your YouTube account in full size and resolution - which must be done when connected to an available wi-fi network for HD video. When the upload is finished, you can notify others via email that the video is available on YouTube to be viewed with a direct link to the video.
If you don't want the video available to the public, you can select Unlisted for the video so only those with the link can view it, or you can make the video Private so only specific YouTube users can view the video.
The overall message size limit for MMS is quite small, which was/is a poor man's way for cellular carriers and cell phone manufacturers to provide very limited email exchange with a cell phone - before there were any smart phones or way before phones in the smart phone category became mainstream, but SMS/MMS is a cash cow for cellular carriers which they make a fortune with.

Unlocked iPhone 4S on T-Mobile cant send MMS

Hello,
I gave my wife my who is on T-Mobile my AT&T iPhone 4S that was unlocked by AT&T when I upgraded to my iPhone 5. No matter what we try she can't send MMS. She can receive MMS as well as iMessages, but can't send any MMS's. sending pictures through iMessage works fine and she browse the Internet on the network too, but No MMS.
The iPhone is running iOS 6.
Any idea how to fix this?

Do photos get resized when sending from PSE 6 to PE 4?

Do photos get resized when moving them from PSE 6 to PE4?
I've come to understand that using overly large photos in slide shows in PE 4 can cause lots of issues, and its recommended to resize photos to 1000x750 (http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bb8822c) before including them in a slide show in PE4. I'm trying to understand the implications of working with photos in PSE 6 and then moving to PE 4 vs. just doing it directly in PE 4.
I can imagine (at least) two scenarios:
1. I have all my photos in PE6 and want to work ONLY in PE4. I'm guessing i would resize my photos in the PSE 6 Organizer by using File-->Export and picking a smaller file size (e.g., 1024 x 768) and then import them into PE4 and build my slide show there.
2. I have all my photos in PSE 6 and want to to create a slide show there and then move it to PE 4 to touch it up or do some fancy stuff to it. Will the photos be resized so PE 4 won't have trouble with them or do i need to resize them in PSE 6, reimport them into PSE 6, build the slide show, and THEN send it to PE 4?

for reasons why I think that for your current objectives, working in Premiere Elements (rather than making a slide show in PSE) will be a better choice.

A couple of considerations
1- Where will you establish the sequence of the photos in the slide show?
Are you making an Album in PSE 6 in order to establish the sequence of the slides as you are selecting which photos to use? if YES, we can experiment with sending the photo files in their Album sequence to Premiere Elements.
Or will you establish the sequence of the photos within Premiere Elements?
2- When working in Premiere Elements will you be able to do the 600 slides in a single PE project?
I don't know the answer to this: it will be influenced by your system configuration.

IPhone 6 plus videos choppy when imported to iMac

all of my videos from my iPhone 6 plus are choppy when I import them to iPhoto. They play fine on phone and the choppy parts occur at same spots of playback as if file is corrupt. I tried playing videos in quicktime and opening in iMovie. anyone have same issue? OS X 10.9.5, iPhone 6 plus

So I figured out that Mavericks was not the problem. It still occurred using Yosemite. It played a short video at 60 when I posted last just fine, but wasn't fixed. The problem may lie in your video card not being able to support 60 fps. Its not a common format. I have no problem playing video recorded at standard 30 fps from iPhone. I've read iMovie does not support 60 fps, I don't know why it lets you import it. I only film 30 fps now and it works okay. I noticed that any hiccups in project smooth out on created file.

6500 slide stalling when sending MMS

Just recently, my 6500 slide won't send MMS messages. It just seems to be stalling and then ages later, I'm getting a message saying that message sending failed.
I'm not always receiving MMS messages either - I get the same message - that message sending has failed.
If I try to resend or retrieve, it's just hanging and then telling me that it's failed again.
Can anyone help please?

hey thanks for helping! i appreciate it. well i dont know if my settings are all correct, but it seems fine to me. in my account, i did apply for texting for both sms/mms, and mms works if i put my sim card in my other phone, but for some reason this phone just wont work with mms. i dont think the 6500 slide was a USA phone so could that be the problem?
if i were to contact my service provider about this problem, could they help?
yes, i never did recieve the sms setting from nokia. i entered my number and all that good stuff in there about 5 times and never recieved an sms.

Resize Picture when Sending MMS

Hi,
If I try to send a large picture as an MMS I get a message that the file is too big. If I try to send as email I get prompted to resize. According to the documentation from RIM, I should get the same dialog when trying to send as email or MMS. However, I only get it on emails and can't resize my pictures in MMS.
Any ideas?

IPhone corrupts USB video card when it connects

I just started connecting my brand-spankin new iPhone to my Dell PC and when I do it corrupts the already-installed USB video card.
I am running a StarTech USB video card to drive a second monitor and I have had it about 9 months and it has worked exceptionally well - until I connect the iPhone via USB cable.
It hangs the second video output and after rebooting I find myself in an endless loop of "reboot because add new hardware has completed installing new devices".
This continues even after I remove the phone from the computer. I need to sync with iTunes, so if anyone has an idea on why this is blowing out my vid card I'd appreciated it.
The system gets so messed up the only thing that I have found to resolves the issue is to roll back to a previous restore point.

Given that your post on this conflict is the only one I've been able to find, I'm led to think it is a computer issue, not an iPhone issue. Not a defender of Apple, but I have a Dell desktop and it has its moments of weirdness -- far more of them than my two iPhones put together.

If you had been using the iPhone for a year and then connected the usb video card, would you then have said the video card has an issue? Perhaps so, but I suspect it may be neither the phone nor the card but something about the computer.
If you have another computer, try the 3GS and video card with that and see if you get the same result.

Maintaining original video size when importing into Flash

Hi All,
We've imported a number of videos for a client in order to
stream them via Flash. The problem we are experiencing though is
that flash seems to stretch the video height. For example, here is
the video on Youtube:

We've tried adjusting the height/width settings, but to no
avail.

I am using captivate 3 and I get an error whenever I try to
export to flash cs3. unknown error.
why the hell doesnt Adobe say that flash is required to
export to flash BEFORE I buy the software? I am using my pc for
captivate, but am primarily mac based and was going to edit in

demo version of flash, but the export is coming up with an error.

How can i check my setting details are correct on my iPhone I recevied an error when sending a text this morning and while checking it out noticed my state and city are wrong

How can i check my setting / about tab? This morning I got an error message say something wasn't safe (not sure what) I think it was my common name whcih is ch4iv.myvzw.com and while looking in there I noticed my state say NJ I live in PA, I did not buy my phone in NJ, the city says Bedminster I have never even been there. Can anyone advise?

When sending multiple MMS messages is there a limit to how many you can send in a group? My iphone4 will not let me send more than 10. My 3gs I was able to send over 20 MMS messages at one time. when I try on this phone I get the red exclamation mark!!

When sending text messags from my iphone4 it will only allow me to send to no more that 10 contacrs at a time. On my 3GS I was able to sendto well over 20 contacts at once. When I try to send on this iphone 4 all I get is the red exclamation mark and a message saying message not send and to try again. Is there something wrong with the way I have my setting? I use this feature alot so I am really trying to figure it out. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I understand that the limit is 10 people when sending MMS messages. However there is a much higher limit for SMS messages.
If they would suit your needs, try disable the switch for "MMS messaging" on the Messages page of the Settings app.

Can't send MMS on O2, 4.2.1 - iPhone 4

I am having problems with my iPhone 4 not being able to send MMS, on contract with O2. It is only less than 2 months old.
The guys at O2 have no idea why this is happening as all my settings are correct, even the Apple tech guys are at a loss... could this be a bug in the update? Or something to do with the O2 carrier settings?

I updated my iPhone 3GS to 4.2 last night. This morning, I couldn't select MMS from the photo library or go into my texts and select the camera icon. After doing a few quick searches all I found were posts like these.
Oddly enough, I don't have an MMS option in my messaging settings...it seems preposterous Apple would turn off MMS or make such a weird error in an OS update...and then I thought, duh, restart your phone. I always forget to do that when updating my iPhone.
So, just restart the phone. All the normal MMS options showed up. Hope it works and you all aren't experiencing some other issue.

Can't send mms after updating

What is going on? I updated my Spring 4s to iOS6 and now I can't send MMS's to people NOT via iMessage.

For what it's worth, I'm having the same problem with my iPhone 4S. I can only send MMS to other iPhone users. Attempting to send it to non-iPhone users results in a failure and retry, over and over. There is another thread on here where we're talking about it:

1. Every iPod, since the first generation model back in 2001 (of which I am proud to be an original owner) has always scratched on all surfaces – front, back, you name it, but basically everything scratches and this is nothing new. If you toss your shiny new cell phone into your pocket with your car keys it is also bound to be scratched. Just because the iPod costs about ten times more than your cell phone doesn't mean that the iPod is scratch-proof or will stop a bullet.
If you go out and buy a brand new, scratchless BMW are you going to expect it to never get a scratch or fingerprint on it? Excuse me, but get real or get a case for it.
2. Transferring video to the iPod was meant to be "easy" for videos that you have purchased over iTunes. It gets more complicated when you want to "back up" your DVDs or avi files that you have on your computer. Unfortunately, QuickTime Pro is not the fastest option for converting to m4v format. There are dozens of applications out there that will rip your DVDs to your hard drive and a handful more which will take this file and convert it to an iPod-friendly format.
3. It's possible to use your iPod with more than one computer without it being erased. When you connect the iPod to a computer which isn't the first one you used it with, it will say that the iTunes library is not the same one on your iPod and whether or not you want to overwrite the iPod. Obviously you can click no. In the iPod's preferences (found in iTunes), click "manually transfer songs and playlists". You can now take single songs or entire albums from your secondary computer and put them on your iPod.
