Iphone 4 OS5 bluetooth in car only works with music no media any advice?
Hi, I have an iphone4 connected to my car bluetooth and its fine when playing music but the audio connection is paused when i try to play other audio (like VLC media player) through the system. i had no problem doing this before i upgraded to OS5.any ideas or has anyone experienced this? I already repaired and still not working. When I switch between 'music' and the media player the audio plays for about half a second but then it stops as the music automatically pauses and mutes the audio.
By the way the media player is an app in the iphone to play videos.

Iphone 4 7.0.6 internet only works with wifi
I use an iphone 4 ios 7.0.6. Last week i got stuck on Apple logo and i restore from backup after that I can't connect to the internet or access any apps that need to connect with mobile internet unless I am using wifi. I can't find anything online that talks about this. Phone calls and texts sms still working but imessage and facetime usable with apple id only (my phone no. disappear). Also i have done 'reset network', 'cellular data is on" and contact my mobile carrier( they are trying to straighten out). I really need to get my phone back to normal. I can't find a troubleshooting checklist anywhere. Help me please.
This is definately an issue relating to your cellular data connectivity. iMessage and FaceTime both need an active data connection (or wifi) to activate the phone number as well as fully functioning text messaging service.
It looks like you have tried a few things already to remedy your issue. Once thing I would do next is backup your iPhone via iTunes (not iCloud) again and then restore it via iTunes and set it up as new and see if it can access the internet via cellular data (wifi off). Also, test to see if you can activate iMessage & FaceTime with your phone number. If all is working well at this point, then pplug it back into iTunes and cick Restore Backup (not Restore iPhone), then select your backup and continue.
If the issue does not go away when set up as new, notify your carrier as there is an issue occuring connecting service and it's not software related. It could be something on the carrier's end or your SIM card.

It works fine through my macbook, can't find anything in settings on iphone to resolve problemThe headset has to have A2DP capability, which most (I believe) do not.

Roadster 2 does NOT work well with the iPhone 5 s, has to be unlocked for Seri to work. An older Motorola blue tooth device the T 325 does work fine, speaker is not as great as the Roadster. It is cheaper and simpler. Verizon, who sold me the iPhone and Roadster does not seem to know this, I'll be returning the Roadster ASAP. This was the second unit Verizon sold me, the first only announced the number calling and could not access my contacts.

I bought this iPhone from Apple Retail Store (from Fifth Avenue, NY) for the full amount. Now it does not work with my SIM card only works with AT&T. I restored the phone several times, but I have not received "Congratulations your iPhone has been unlocked". Please activate my iPhone to work with different SIM cards

Apple did not begin selling an unlocked version of the iPhone 4S in the US until 11/11/11. I believe it went on sale only through the online store at that time. I'm not sure if it's available at retail yet.
What you purchased was a phone without a contract commitment. It is still locked to AT&T. AT&T will NOT unlock iPhones for any reason. Return it and get your money back, then use that to purchase an unlocked phone. -
I had an iphone 4s and it worked nice with facetime and imessage using my phone number but it was stolen on December so I buy a new iphone 4s using the same cellphone number but now imessage and facetime does not work with my number, it only works with my apple ID. No. Return it and get your money back if still within the 30 day return window. All US iPhones are carrier locked and cannot be officially unlocked.

I have problems with outgoing call no audio, only works with speaker. I bought my iphone on december 2011.
Had the same problem, no audio on incoming or outgoing calls and only could hear the conversation of the call if I put on speaker. It seemed to start after I did a recent IOS update this past month. I tried restart, reset and restore of my iPhone but nothing changed. It appears not to be a software issue but a hardware problem. I got my phone this past summer so it was still under warranty and got it replaced.

Comcast came to fix my internet. My AIRPORTWIFI now only works with desktop. it doesn't work with my IPhone or IPad. Why? What can I do?

It sounds like your Wi-Fi network is working if your desktop works with it, we just need to get the Wi-Fi on your iPhone and iPad connected to it. I found a couple of resources to help with not being able to connect to Wi-Fi on an iOS device.
I recommend following the steps in this tutorial first (the steps should work on the iPhone and iPad):

Siri on Iphone 5 only works with headphones
I have an iPhone 5 64 gig gsm, factory unlocked phone. Siri only works with headphones or when you use raise to speak. When I attempt to use it without it doesn't seem to hear me. I read a few threads on the subject and it seems this is a known issue. Most of the time the threads end when someone finds a solution without the solution being disclosed. Apps like Soundhound and Shazam seem to work fine so it appears the issue is software related. I have notice Apple texting does not work with the mic either. This is a very strange problem and I would appreciate any help you can give me as my iPhone is no longer in warranty.

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you may have a hardware issue with one of your microphones on the iPhone (three in total). To help isolate the issue to software or hardware, it may be best to back up and restore your iPhone to factory settings. However, before doing so let's first try a simple restart/reset of your device:

After erasing and setting up as a new device, your device is now in a factory configuration. Test to determine if erasing and setting up as a new device resolved the issue. Content on the device may have caused unexpected behavior.
