IPhone 4 Otterbox cases will be out early August?
You can actually order all three cases on amazon.com if you do a quick search. The estimated shipping day is on August 9th at the earliest.
I don't know about you guys, but what's the point of having a nice case if there is no belt clip for it? I hate digging the phone out my pocket each time I get a text or receive a call. Otterbox Defender and the incase slider(at an additional cost) both come with a belt clip specifically made for their cases....and I CANT WAIT MUCH LONGER!!!!!!!!

I did both. They processed my refund automatically and I just ordered a case through the app. It says "order processed" but it'll likely get canceled eventually. It was worth a shot, I guess.

I was facing issues with both backup and FB integration after the iOs 6 upgrade. Before then I did not have any issues with the iCloud backup service, but after a few days, I noticed that it was continually stuck at the Estimating time for the backup and it never progressed.
As any good techie would, I tackled the most pressing issue first . . . FB integration of course.
I had read in a separate post about this solution so tried it . . .
I deleted the original FB app and hard booted the phone. I then went into settings and entered the data for FB integration. Seconds later, I received a text message to my phone - already listed and verified in FB with a 6 digit code to re-enter instead of my password. Seconds later I was verified and then prompted to download the FB app. All backup and integrated.
Then I went into the iCloud backup, turned it off . . . and deleted the last backup. I then re-enabled backup . . . and although I thought I was going to face the same issue, after a few minutes, it moved on from Estimating time . . . to actually backing up. It is now a small way through the backup and seems to estimate that it will take another two hours to complete.
A good nights work. Backup and integration all sewed up. Good luck.

IXtreme iPhone extended battery case
I have been searching for something like this for sooo long. I have an iPhone 4 and I hate the battery life. Im sure anyone that has an iPhone 4 knows about the battery life as a heavy user!
I came across a place called iXtreme Accessories, that makes iPhone 4 battery cases. I bought a case a week ago to try it out, and it is hands down, the best extended battery case I have seen made for the iPhone 4! Its very thin and sleek, and it comes with replacement back housing. It offers twice the battery life. I figured I would throw it out there for anyone who is looking for an extended battery case that doesnt add a lot of bulk and has to have a different charging cable. I posted a like and an image of what it looks like.
http://www.ixtreme-accessories.commophie makes a couple for the iphone5 - i have the mophie air - works fine but a little hard to get the phone out of the case since syncing doesnt work with the case (only charging - according to Mophie) - it uses the lightning connector- there are lots of others
ivyskin makes a case for the iphone5 with a detachable battery - so you only have the extra weight when you have the battery attached - it also has a buitin screen protector

a company called Third Rail Mobility (www.thirdrailmobility) has a similar case for the 4S and is workin on one for the iPhone 5 but i dont think its available yet

Charging iphone 4s with case on

I can confirm that the iPhone 4S with the Otterbox case will work. You may need a Usb extension cable. I have a IPad 3 with a Otterbox Defender case which will work with a Usb extension cable connected to Usb power adapter and it will charge. Note because of the size of the iPad you have to lean it aganist something when connected to the Belkin mini doc or the dock will tip over. The way I have it setup it works just fine for charging and I don't have to remove the OtterBox casees from the iPhone or iPad 3.

I have an otterbox case for my iphone 4s and want to know if there's a docking unit where i can sit my phone in with the case still on and with a usb connection it'sll charge and transfer data (music, video, etc, to my stereo unit (alpine 910 gps)
Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

Sorry for the practical joke, but really, there are dozens if not hundreds of threads asking this question and the answer is always the same: No one knows exactly, and that's the way Apple wants it. Apple hasn't even announced that there is going to be an iPhone 5; it's all speculation and rumor for now.
My best guess is that you'll see a new iPhone at the same time iOS 5 is released, which should be late September or early October. (Or not... Apple will only say, "Fall 2011 – nothing more specific.) But it might not be an iPhone 5; it could be a slightly modified iPhone 4, or nothing at all. -

So like me, many verizon users in the US are excited to get their hands on a new iphone, i purchased a black and pink defender case from otterbox so ill have it when i get my iphone...well i started to do some research and found out that APPLE wanted to fix the pre-existing problem they experienced at AT&T of the antenna band on the bottom left hand corner and its ablity, when covered up by your hand, to lose service and drop calls. so Apple redesigned just the side as for the verizon iphone, the antenna is now at the top...pushing the volume buttons down more.....THIS CREATED THE PROBLEM OF THE OTTERBOX CASES NOT FITTING. I SPOKE WITH OTTERBOX CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT THE RELEASE OF THE NEW VERIZON CASE FOR THE IPHONE AND THEY SAID THEY WERE WORKING ON THE DESIGN AND THAT IT SHOULD BE FOR SALE IN THE UPCOMING MONTHS......DISSAPPOINTING...I KNOW! you would think, with their cases so high in demand, that they would have already released the cases before the iphone release...they would have made more money that way but hey...what do i know..lol
but i wanted to share this information so that people wouldnt spend their money on a case that wont fit and can wait til the RIGHT cases are up for grabs!!

Will iPhone 5 otterbox mess up Touch I.D. on the 5s
I have an otterbox case for the iPhone 5, does anyone know if the rubber cover for the home button will mess with the Touch I.D. on the 5s? I plan on using the case until i get a new one but i dont want to use it if it will mess with the Touch I.D.
The Otterbox Defender for the iPhone 5 prevents use of TouchID. Otterbox has released an updated version. It's labled "For iPhone 5 and 5S."

i have enabled iCloud on my iPhone. In case i delete the photos from my phone would they still be on my iCloud account or will it sync and delete it on iCloud as well?

Thank you for the question. It sounds like you are curious about how iCloud stores your photos. Photo Stream stores your photos temporarily so that you can have time to sync them to your computer, but the photos will expire after 30 days:

Should you put a screen protector on the iphone if the case is going to be a otterbox defender?
I am trying to figure out if I need a screen protector on my iphone 4s if I am using a Otterbox Defender. The salesman suggested I should but I know a lot of people who do not use any screen protection on other cases/shells.
I never used a screen protector while my iPhone was in the Defender case. The Otterbox case is engineered to protect your device. I'm not sure why the salesman suggested you use both. I used the Otterbox Defender case for a little over a year and my iPhone was flawless when I removed it. Hope this helps.

I have a desktop pc with itunes. I just purchased a Mac Air book. Can I sync my devices, iphone, ipod, ipad, to both computers. Or do I have to pick one? I would like to have itunes on my mac, but i am afraid I will run out of hard disk space. Do I need to set up a seperate account on my Mac so I can load some music on it if I plan to keep my devices synced to my PC? Would it be possible to sync only my Iphone to my Mac?
To get that much storage, you need to look to professional online services. Pro-level hosting accounts may offer you that much (well, many will offer as much storage as you are prepared to pay for), or Amazon professional cloud services. You could also store the files on a home machine and pay for a professional hosting service so you could stream them over your own account (assuming your ISP connection and agreement allows for the bandwidth used). You would still need to deal with the issue of finding an app for the iPad that supported avi streaming.

The black back case on my iphone 3g is cracked. i would like to replace the back case with a new white one. I saw the video on how to do the replacement on youtube and found it complicated. if i take the new back case and the phone to Apple, will the replace the broken back case for me?
Regarding the iPhone 3G, the only repair that Apple Genius does on that device is the Front Screen Replacement. So they could help you get the front assembly back on when you are done with the repair. To give you a better idea, the Genius do not even replace the battery on the iPhone 3G. Apple will not help you with this repair.
