IPhone 4 pairing problem

I bought a Monster Cable Clarity HD Micro speaker (bluetooth) and had no problem pairing it to my MacBook Pro or my iPad. However, on my iPhone 4, the phone recognized the speaker, identified it on the screen but would not present a screen to input the PIN ...and pairing failed. Repeated attempts all provided same result. Any help is appreciated. jw

Second if it will, what must be done to make that happen?
It should be in the best interest of the Apple community to assist users of apple products in getting the best possible value out of the products. That would include the use of compatible OEM devices. I have been seeking information from other sources. If that had been helpful I wouldn't be here. My hope was that some kind person would have had a similar experience and would know the answer to my questions. If there is no one out there that can answer the questions, that will not surprise me.

It may be necessary to turn on the aptX codec via Bluetooth Explorer -> Utilities -> Special Options
That did the trick for me.
The bluetooth explorer used to be available by pressing option then the bluetooth button, but now its bundled seperatly either with xcode or here :https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action?name=bluetooth%20explorer

Iphone pairing issue with Pantronics Explorer 360 headset

I've seen some posts with similar issues but I've been unable to find a solution.
I'm unable to pair Iphone with the Plantronics Explorer 360. I'm following Plantronics installation recommendations and have been trying to pair for 2 days. The Iphone just keeps searching and searching and can't seem to locate the headset. Any advice?

Hope you were able to solve your Bluetooth-Plantronics 360-iPhone 3G problem. I had the same problem, and like a dummy, I sat there watching my iPhone 3G search, and search, ...and search. Turned off the iPhone. Turned off the 360. Multiple times. Tried again. No luck. Finally, while both were on, with the Plantronics device blinking red and blue and the iPhone showing "Plantronics 3XX" "searching" "not paired" I reached over and touched the iPhone screen. The Plantronics line immediately turned blue, and the two paired. The iPhone was apparently waiting for me to select the Plantronics 360, which, of course, in retrospect, makes absolute sense. Maybe I was just tired. Or stupid. Anyway, good luck...I hope by now you've solved your problem.

Iphone Pairing in Car

I have a new 8G Iphone. I have attempted to pair it to my car's onboard bluetooth, or uconnect device without success. It's interesting to note that my wife's Blackberry and my son's Samsung paired just fine. My car's device asked for a password that I set. I don't believe there is a special passcode that I used when setting up the other phones. If it matters, it's a 2008 Dodge Avenger. Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated.

I too have an 8 gig Iphone that does not like Bluetooth (BT).
Using a headset does yield a bit of static, with leads me to believe it's from a weak BT signal. I have a 2005 Acura RL the Iphone paired with the pass code and all without a problem. With a strong signal, when trying to make a call it will dial and then hang up, in addition to that I discovered that (of course) it was the phones BT signal that's weak because it won't stay paired. My car is designed to support up to 6 different BT profiles and if one drops offline it will search for another in the stored profiles.
Starting off with the Iphone (not trying to make a call) just BT linked to the car, several miles later I hear the BT signal drop and was picked up by my secondary phone. When I push a button (on my car) and told it "Next Phone" it finds the Iphone and tells me it's linked (and the link then transfers from the other phone). I then try to make a call and the car announces that "no phone available for (I named it) “Iphone” but when I tell it “next phone” the car finds the secondary phone, links it and works as usual. This has happened several times. When I did get two calls (not the same day) before it disconnected also got static and lots of it.
I'm new to this forum so if anyone knows or has the email address to where I can provide more detailed information of BT tests and results. Please let me know.

i have tried this new charset combination specifically for iphone and i m waiting for response from sweden alliance.....i hope this works fine as iso works great for 8-bit characters.

Iphone paired with ipad

Hey all,
I have been an android user for pretty much my entire life. I picked up an ipad mini and it is serving me well. I have the first generation. Aside from its horrible lag and having to restart every app and reload every webpage each time, i am very enjoying the ipad mini for school use and light media consumption and web surfing.
I plan to continue using the ipad mini for school. I might pick up the 2nd or even the third gen(not released yet) depending on how cheap they are during the holiday sales.
What bothers(just a little) me is that I have an ipad and an android phone. I kinda want the continuity feature carrying over from one device to another whether it be from ios to ios or android to android.
So with that being said, is it worth getting an iphone just so i can have continuity between my two devices? What do you guys think? What are the advantages of having an iphone paired with an ipad compared to having an android and an ipad?
I am skeptical because the new iphones are horrible but if the advantage is big, i might just push the trigger.
I thought about picking up an android tablet and just going with pure android across my devices but i recently bought a $100 itunes gift card.

Open Mac Mail.
From the menu bar click Mail > Preferencees then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab then click + to add the account.

Iphone paired with ipad for 2 days and now won't discover it anymore

My Iphone paired with my Ipad2 via bluetooth and was working great for a couple of days then it suddenly stopped. Now everytime I try to connect them again my iphone 3g os3.1.3 no longer discovers my Ipad or ANY devices within range. I have restarted it several times, made sure that the bluetooth on both devices is turned on, and have tried a hard reset but it still no longer works. I am not sure why it suddenly stopped and I have been pouring over forums for hours and gotten no closer to getting my devices paired again!

Iphone 4 problems after 7.0.2 update--Especially with keyboard entries

I am having serious iphone 4 problems after installing the 7.0.2 update. Mostly it is with use of the keyboard. Each key stroke takes about 8 seconds to show. It is truly disabling. Apparently many others have had various problems. The one thing the Apple Tech would tell me was that 7.0.2 cannot be uninstalled. I have restarted & reset. Settings shows I have more that 20 free GB of space, though I don't know if that's important.

May be you have turned the DO NO DISTURB in your iphone settings.
Check as below DND settings
Settings>>Do Not Disturb
If you are iPhone is on version iOS 5.X there was a bug which does not let the DO NOT DISTURB function properly.
SO, its better you to latest iOS version 7.0.4, no other versions of iOS are signed by APPLE hence forth.

try this and see if it works: connect your iPhone and open up iTunes on your PC. Go to your phone's page. Under Summary page, check manually manage music and videos.

You are seeing your old apple id because that was the ID that was used to download the app, you can't merge apple id.
to update the app, you will have to enter the old password.
Any new apps you download with your new id, will use that id and password.

IPhone camera problems.

Ok. I'm running 3.1.3 on iPhone 3G.
Recently my iPhone just decided that it wasn't going to let me take pictures anymore. All it allows me to do is open the camera app and it shows the camera shutter and that's all it shows and a restart of iPhone doesn't work and a restore of iPhone doesn't help. I don't know what the problem could be. It hasn't gotten any water damage or any physical damage to cause this to happen. I really wish someone could help ! I love to take pictures of funny things and show my friends. Now it used to be jailbroken but I unjailbroke it about a week after 3.1.3 came out and it hasn't been jailbroken since. This problem just started with my iPhone about two days ago.

Hello. I have just purchased a used Apple iphone (8GB)from a local salesmen that sells used items for a cheap price. (For example I purchased this phone for the low price of $200.00). After I purchased it I took it home and, with the instructions given by the salesperson, I jail broke my iphone to a Cincinnati Bell Network Plan with my current SIM card. I realized the iphone worked perfectly as if it was brand new, except for one thing, when I went to take a picture the camera didn't work correctly. While researching my iphone's problem on the internet I have not seen a problem quite like mine. I will explain: When you open the app for "camera" on my iphone by clicking on it the camera comes up, but instead of showing on the screen what a normal camera would show, it simply shows a screen that looks to me as what a closed lens of a digital camera would look like if the screen were to show you. It looks like a closed camera lens every time I open up the app with a small icon on the bottom which symbolizes a camera. When you click on the camera icon the iphone does nothing and acts as if you clicked on nothing. To solve this problem I have taken it back to the salesman to ask for help. He took it in for 2 days in which he said he would fix it. When he returned it he sated that he fixed the problem and all I would have to do is put a different camera app on my iphone. However after trying 3 different camera apps, which i wasted money on, I am still left with the same closed lens look on every camera app I have installed. All the camera apps on my phone, new and old, do not react to any touching of the screen after open to open the lens or take a picture. They just simply show the "closed lens" look on the screen, thus NOT fixing my problem. Thank you for any help you can address my problem with. It is much appreciated and if I can fix this problem I won't feel as if I have wasted $200.00 and counting on my iphone and the apps I have installed to fix the issue addressed above.
