IPhone 4 phones calls interrupted by music

When I'm making a phone call I will suddenly be cut off and the Phone starts to play the music that is on the device. I'm not doing anything to the phone, not pressing buttons shaking it or anything. I can be talking to somebdoy and then suddely they are gone and the music is playing. Sometimes it takes me four or five attempts to get the call back , as the music will interrupt the dialling and can cut in at any time.
I checked and the music app is not active after this happens. The iPhone is hardly usable as a phone noew the problem has got so bad. Anybody know if this can be fixed?
My next move will be to delete all the music on the device, pretty poor for a $600 phone.

I'm on ios 6.1.3 .
Frankly I would consider anything as the phone is almost unusable (as a phone) at the moment. I only have one paid app that cost 99 cents and I don't care about that.

Phone call interrupting video recording

Just a quick clarification-
I've noticed that while recording a video, if a phone call comes in (even if it is declined), the video is ended. This obviously does make sense as incoming calls should have priority, and I suppose means that airplane mode is the way to go if I'm recording a video that I don't want to be interrupted.
My question is: Is the above statement correct or is there an option or setting I'm missing that would allow a call to be declined during video recording and have the video continue? Using Airplane Mode isn't a huge problem, but it would be nice to be able to monitor incoming calls and have the choice whether to accept the call and end the video or decline the call and have the video continue.

I had a iphone 3g and had static during phone calls - mostly on the person who I was calling. I hoped that when I upgraded to the iphone 3gs the problem would go away (thinking maybe I had a faulty speaker). But the problem still persists with this new phone (just a month old). I read where I should reset the phone, recharged the phone and reset the phone. But you would think buying a new phone would have done those same things. Perhaps it is an AT&T issue. That makes more sense since both phone have the same issue. But I would take an answer from Apple if they would like to share the definitive answer to this problem. Apple, your turn.

Phone call interrupted my video

While shooting a video on iPhone 4 a call came in that I declined. However, it turned off the video and I had to restart it. I read a few other questions about this but they were from over a year ago and I was hoping something had been instituted to stop this. I understand the idea that phone calls have priority, but when I'm using my iPhone's video camera I would like that to have priority. Anything besides airport mode?

This is absolutely rediculous. Why is it that my call doesn't show up as an alert superimposed over the video recording view. If it's possible that when I'm on a call, a second call does not cut off the first, it stands to reason that the same option could be offered to me while watching a video. (e.g., "Accept call from Joe and save video?Send Joe straight to voicemail?)
Otherwise what you are saying is that whever I want to record something, assuming it's important (and I think it's safe to assume that whenever I'm recording something it's important and potentially VERY important), you're saying I need to first go into settings and enter airplane mode. But that's of course insane. What if I'm witnessing a crime? What if there's a precious moment happening between my children? Etc. Etc.
This should be fixed. I just had a very important moment ruined. The fact that it's a phone primarily is by the way not at all correct anymore. It's a computer that makes calls.

Does anyone know of an iPhone app that allows you to make a note to an incoming or outgoing phone call and works with iOS5? Callog was an app that I used daily, but it won't work on incoming calls since the update to iOS5. They say there was some kind of change to the logs and they aren't going to update the app to work with iOS5.

Copy your whole iTunes folder from the old computer to the same location on the new one. It is trying to erase the phone because the phone is synced to the library on the old computer and does not recognize the one on the new computer. You can transfer purchases from a phone to a computer but otherwise file transfer is one direction, computer to phone.

Prepaid cell phone call interruption O.o

Every now and then I try to call my girlfriend long distance on a prepaid cell phone. About one minute into the conversation our call is interrupted with a voice that comes over my phone saying how much cash is on the phone and when the next pay is due. Is there any way I can turn this feature off? It gets pretty annoying being cut off all the time and having to call back explaining what happened.

This has something to do with the Messaging Alert levels. Try this
Go to verizowireless.com/myverizon
Click on the My Profile tab.
Select Low, Medium or High (choose Low) from the Messaging Level box and click update. Hope this works for you.

As far as I know you can't, which sort of makes sense, it seems logical to pause whatever you are doing while you take a phone call, which after all is the primary function of a phone.

My iphone 6 connects to the car via bluetooth, the music works good, but the phone calles does not work. It looks like it is working but doesn't. I have tried in my Hyundai and a Dodge rent car and get the same results. I updated the last 8.0.2.

It worked the first day i had the phone, and then i updated to Ios 8.0.2 and it quit working.
Now when i get in the car, it acts like it is connected and makes the same call it was on after syncing to bluetooth, but it really isn't on a call. This is happening on both cars.
Does anyone know if this is the phone and i need to take it to Apple or if there is an issue that Apple is working on getting a fix for?
My son in law has the exact same phone as me, we both got the on 10/6, he had a Dodge Dart and his is working via bluetooth.
Someone HELP please, as i consider this a safety issue by not having my calls go to bluetooth.

We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE! After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!

Not knowing what steps were included in "all the troubleshooting possible with Apple people," I'll suggest you give the phone a chance to reprovision your cellular account.
First turn off Wi-Fi. Then power off your phone. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the power off slider. Then slide to power off. Turn the phone back on. After the phone starts watch to see if No Serive is displayed. Hopefully after 15-30 seconds that will change to the name of your cellular service provider and finally indicate LTE or 4G as well as include some dots indicating signal strength. You can then turn Wi-Fi back on.

When my iPhone 4 is connected to the car's radio, with a usb cable, and playing music, at the time I answer a phone call, the music stops but a few seconds later it starts playing whatever song, during the phone call. Hi I use my phone for conference calls and use the microphone jack to connect to speakers. It doesnt work when making phone calls but when i play music on the phone the jack works with the external speaker.

IPhone Voice Memos Interrupted By Incoming Calls

I notice that every time I use my Voice Memos software on the 3G(s), if an call comes in, the Voice Memo stops recording and I won't know it till I look at the phone later. Is there ANY way to stop that for that not to happen and you can have perhaps the calls go directly into voice mail so that the Voice Memo feature doesn't get interrupted? It's useless to me otherwise.

The voice recorder application - just like every other iPhone application, native or 3rd party - will shut down when you receive a phone call. The iPhone operates under the assumption that the device is first and foremost a telephone.
As far as work arounds go, you can always put the phone in airplane mode when you need to use the voice recorder app uninterrupted. This will send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.
