Iphone 4 power adapter

my iphone 4 power adapter is not working, even other power adpter is not working please help

If other apple power adaptors do not work then most likely its not the adaptors its your usb cable. As ocean previously stated your best option is to try another usb cable. If changing the usb cable does not work then you are looking at an issue with the phone itself.

I don't know about that for sure, but my guess is that it won't matter.  Battery technology today is much better.   You should follow Apples battery tips here:

  • IPhone power adapter charge iPod Touch?

Does the iPhone power adapter that came with my iPhone 3G also work to charge up my mom's iPod Touch?

Yes, all Apple iPod / iPhone USB chargers can be used on any iPod / iPhone as they all output standard USB voltages.

  • HT1384 Is it ok to charge my iPod touch 5th generation over night with my iPhone power adapter plugged to the wall?

So yea I'm wondering if its ok to leave it over night plugged in

    Hi Baderk,
Yes, it is perfectly fine. The charger for the iPhone and iPod are the same charger. I charge all of my devices overnight - most of them are plugged in until I use them....(which means that they might be plugged in for several days).

  • OK to use iPod Power Adapter to charge iPhone?

At the Apple Store, they told me that I could use a power adapter and cable for an iPod with my iPhone. Seems to work fine, charges the battery fine. But I notice that in the tiny print on the side of the iPod power adapter it says, "Output 12V -- .67A". The print on the side of the adapter that came with the iPhone says "Output 5V -- 1A".
Wouldn't want to fry my phone battery with those extra volts.

It's not $29.99 + $19.99. They include with the iPhone both a dock/charger and a power adapter/wall plug charger. But only one cable between either of them and your iPhone. So, if you have a computer in one room and you charge your phone overnight in another room, you need another cable.
One solution is to to use some cable you already have, that fits, such as I did once, from an iPod 2 or 3 years old. But I had to use the power adapter that came with that cable/iPod, since the USB cable end was different. It said output: 12V. the iphone power adapter said output: 5V.
So, although the cable fit and the iPhone charged seemingly fine, I was not comfortable charging my $600 iphone with a 12v charger when the one that came with it was a 5v charger. I paid just $19.99 for a duplicate cable to the one that came with the iPhone, used the 5v power adapter that also came with it. Just in case. The apple guy at the "genius bar" agreed: it "ought to work" but, yeah...it's disconcerting...
So, that's the story. I now have a dock on my iMac and a power-adapter from the wall in my bedroom. Both supplied with the iPhone. Both using identicl cables.
What I would like to know, from some tech person, is YEA or NAY. The 5v and 12v iphone and ipod adapters are interchangeable OR they are not and WHY. Otherwise, we are all just speculating.

  • Is the iPad power adapter interchangable with iPhone adapter?

Is the iPhone power adapter(5s) interchangeable with the iPad power adapter, both use the lightening connector.

    The short answer is yes.
You can use the iPad adapter with the iPhone.
    iPad requires more power.
If you use the iPhone adapter for the iPad, it will charge but just very very slowly.

  • Genius told me that my power adapter was NOT covered under warranty. ?????

Not too happy with my Apple store as of late. First I bring in my defective iPhone power adapter for a replacement and was told I had to schedule an appointment with a "Genius". I guess it takes a genius to plug in a power adapter and see that it doesn't work. Of course the next available appointment was 2 days away. So....I leave, make an appointment, come back 2 days later and the Genius tells me that the power adapter is not covered under warranty. Is this correct???? This is crazy. He actually told me that I could just buy another one there for $29 or find one on Ebay.
I don't even really have much use for the power adapter, but I find it very hard to believe that it is not covered under the same 1 year warranty as the phone.
    Is this true?
    Thanks.

I have had to deal with the "genius bar" for 4 weekends straight now, with one more weekend to go. All to simply get my Apple iPhone bluetooth replaced. They gave me a refurbished one which was still broken, and they didnt know how to even use their own software to do the rma. So far my worst experience with a store in a very long time and I have no plans of doing business with Apple through one of their "genius bars" ever again. Heck, I had to show the so called iPhone genius how to pair the headset with the phone. Quite pathetic.

  • IPad / iPhone power chargers

Can I use my iPhone charger for my iPad?  It seems to charge a lot slower than the original charger that I received with my iPad...

The quickest way to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter. When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes.

  • IPad won't charge using power adapter but will charge via USB

I have an iPad 1 that recently stopped charging using the power adapter. "Broken power adapter or cable" I thought and reached for a spare that I have. That didn't work either. The original power adapter however DID charge another iPad without any problems, so the problem cannot be with the adapter or cable.
Now this is the wierd bit - using the original cable plugged into my laptop I get the usual "Not charging" message but the iPad DOES charge slowly this way.
I rebooted the iPad, restarted it in recovery mode and restored the firmware, cleaned out the 30-pin connector port - all those useful bits of advice that you find on the internet but all to no avail. The iPad just will not charge using any of the many  original Apple iPad charger sthat I have been able to get my hands on but will only charge on an underpowered USB port!
The 30-pin connector must work otherwise it wouldn't charge via USB. Can there be some kind of wierd internal hardware defect that might cause such behavior?
I fear that if I take a 3 year old iPad to the Apple Store they might just give me their best smile and show me the latest iPads but this old iPad works fine otherwise and I don't really want to replace it.
    Anyone got any ideas?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
And this - Unplug the charger from the iPad and then replug. May resume charging.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Is the iPhone 5 5W Power Adapter the same as what came with previous iPhone models?

My rep at the AT&T store claims the new power adapter that comes with the iPhone 5 is of a higher wattage, and that using older power adapters would cause damage to the battery.  No entirely sure if I believe him since there were a few other things he was incorrect on.  Anyone else heard of this?

Looks exactly the same to me.
There is a new 12w iPad charger ,he is probably confused
The 5W is shown as supporting all iPhones and iPods from day one

You just need to get an adapter for the plug pins
No need for a voltage adapter, just look for 120/240 50/60Hz on the label and if you do see it you're set for North American power.

    Hi Guy,
Just wanna enquiry is the power adapter that we purchase from online through Apple website are orginal power adapter or it's a 3rd party power adapter?
Can i bring it to the local telco like Maxis, DiGi for warranty where my iphone still under warranty if i bought the power adapter from Apple Online Store?

    Kelv_1st wrote:

Yes, in fact purchasing a power adapter directly from Apple, an authorized Apple reselller, or the Apple Online Store is the only way to be certain it is genuine and not a potentially dangerous counterfeit.

The reseller's return policies would prevail, but Apple will always honor its warranty.
