Iphone 4 Problem: Please Help!
After updating to IOS 7, my Iphone 4 will not access the internet (in Safari, Tweetbot, Google Maps, etc.), despite being connected to home wifi. I have tried:
forgetting the network and re-joining
renewing the lease
resetting the network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings)
restoring the phone to original settings
None of those solutions have worked. I don't think this is a problem with the ISP (Xfinity), seeing as I have no trouble accessing internet on the wifi via laptop, ipad, video game console, or even an Iphone 4S (which I tried today). I have looked through the forums, but can't find any solid help. I contacted Apple Customer Service, but they told me it would cost $150 to replace the phone (after trying to charge me a $20 service fee) as I am no longer under warranty. Any helpful suggestions you can give me would be greatly appreciated!!!
hold home/power button for 20-30seconds until apple logo shows.. might not work first time try to do it 2nd time for sure it will turn on again .. make sure you hold home and power at same time for 20-30seconds
had this problem a lot ! returned iphone 4 im really happy using iphone 3gs again

Iphone problem, please help!!!
My 8gb Iphone 4 was saying it was full and wouldnt let me sync any new music/apps, etc. It had nearly 2gb of 'other' so using DiskAid I managed to delete all the 'other' files and have alot more space on my phone, however, after doing this, none of my songs will play. It skips through all my songs without me pressing anything, yet they play on my Itunes libary. I have tried syncing it all again, I have also tried to back up and restore my Iphone but it says there isnt enough space on the phone for me to do so. All my music is illegally downloaded as I cant afford to pay for songs on Itunes, and the songs I have actually bought from Itunes (which is about 5 songs) wont even play either. I spoke to a woman in my local Apple store and she suggested backing up everything and then restoring it, but I'm scared incase I do it wrong and lose everything. She said it is possible that the songs names are on my phone, but the actual track isnt.. How do I sort this? This is very urgent as I am doing a music course at college and I need my music on my phone! Please help me or I will end up smashing my phone with a hammer!
You have to do a DFU on the phone. the other stuff is firmwear and sofware. If you delete this than you must do a DFU. A DFU is pretty much distoying the phone and re-downloading everything. If you do this than you will not be able to restore from any back-up. I am with you man. I have a 64Gb iPhone 5 and the other files takes up 9Gb of space. It is very annoying.

Updating iPhone Problem please help!!
Hi I was hoping someone could help me with a small problem I am having while trying to update my iPhone (16GB 3G). When I go to update it everything goes fine and then when I get to the part of the process involving "backing up" the iPhone it takes a long time and seems to stop about halfway through. Is there anyway I can skip the backup process? I don't have the time to let my phone sit for 5 hours to update! haha so I'm stuck with 2.0 right now!! I really want 2.2

JasonThe last version of iOS to be supported is 4.2.1. If apps require something higher, you will not be able to use them. The only way around this is to buy a new phone. You can NOT install iOS 5 on an iPhone 3G.

Big iphone problem, please help
I was using the internet on my phone today and the iphone suddenly froze, i couldn't move the screen around and i could not use the sleep button to turn off the screen, or reset the phone. eventually the backlight dimmed, and the screen went black. I have tried using the forced recovery on the iphone, it doesnt work. When I switch the silence ringer option, it does not vibrate.I plugged it into my computer(PC) and it did nothing. I have had the phone for about 10 months now and it has never given me any sort of problem. It is like all methods of imput don't register. I am pretty sure it is dead. Please prove me wrong.
Have you tried to reboot the phone. Do that by holding down both the home button and the power on/off button until you see the Apple logo. When you said you tried the force recovery, you mean by holding the home button and plugging it into iTunes on the computer? Hi there, I have had my 3G S for about 6 months, and I had it sitting next to me while I was on my computer. I then tried clicking my home button, and nothing happened. I hit the sleep button, tried to turn it on, tried syncing to my computer and nothing helped at all. Please someone tell me what I can do!

Hi, i had the same problem. Try to find the file "apple" or "itunes" don't know it anymore exactly. Ahm well you need to delet any information or just plug in your iphone into an other computer. important is that your iphone never has been pluged in this computer before. This was what i did, and it worked!

My friend has bougth an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 through OLX . OLX is a website like craiglist where people buy there products directly to sellers.
iPhone 5 when he bougth was good and was in working condition. I had to restore my phone because of some problem and now im stuck at the activation lock. I dont know the iCloud ID of the original user(that could be helpful in order to contact the user) and obviously I dont know the password aswell. So now my $855 worth device is useless. Ive been waiting for three months for some solution but all in vain. APPLE!!! PLEASE help me out here.

Don't worry, just follow these steps to fix iPhone stuck on Apple logo
=> First of all Start your Computer and then connect with Internet connection, now Download the latest version of the iTunes application
=> Now install the iTunes application in your System and connect your Device with computer via Data cable
=> Now connect your Device with iTunes application and then Tab on summary option, see in the left side bar of iTunes
=> Now Select restore option from iTunes and then confirm the Restore Message for better results. After this unplug your Device and Restart it

To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the phone. If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

If you've noticed unexpected behavior with your iPhone camera, start with these steps to isolate or resolve the issue:
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

The error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer". There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone -- you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video. So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS. -

Wow... you seriously over paid for an iPhone.
That probably explains why you have/had no clue you were purchasing a locked device and think it's an Apple problem to get it unlocked.
