IPhone 4 Reusing Same Picture Numbers

Love my iPhone 4, less a few problems that I have as others, but this one really irks me. Seems that everytime I remove photos from my iPhone 4 that the next set of photos I take start with the same numbers as previously. For example, when I take several sets of photos during the day and save them to my computer they may range from 1001 - 1090, etc. Then when I take additional photos during the day and attempt to save them into the day's same folder, I'm asked if I wanted to replace or copy, etc. It's very annoying and I don't quite understand why my iPhone is not retaining track of how many photos I'm taking. Please don't tell me to use some third party software to rename my photos in batches, etc, or that I'm being unreasonable in wanting top performance from my phone. We're the customers Apple, we make you or break you. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Hey, thank you all for your inputs. Sounds logical to leave one picture from the day's shooting, or just leave them all on the phone until the end of the day or next day. I just noticed that I actually have more of the same photo numbers than I thought when going through my folders! Geez, I'm the kind of guy that likes to keep track of how many photos I've taken. Thank God I don't have OCD or I don't think I'd make it through this.
No offense to those that do have OCD...that do have OCD...that do...just kidding...just kidding...****, 1, 2, 3...

IPhoto emailing different pictures as the same picture?

Our iPhoto recently started emailing different pictures that we select as the same photo. Example- We individually select 5 different photos, select Share, and email them. When they come through on email, its the same picture 5 times. Its odd because the photos all have different file numbers in their title, which makes sense since its different pics we're selecting but getting the same ones in email.
Any idea whats causing this? I did just update to the latest version of iPhoto and didnt have this problem before. Perhaps a new bug in the latest version? I didnt see any other posts about this issue. I'm also using the latest version of Lion.

Yep.
Its an issue with how iOS mail interprets the email templates used by iPhoto.

If you don't care about using iPhoto's templates: iPhoto > Preferences > General > Email photos using > and choose Mail -- This will bypass the templates and iOS devices will see the images properly.

If the DPI(dots per inch) is under 100, the printer will not print the picture because it would be too low in quality. Pull the picture up on the computer, right click on it and click on properties, Check out the horizontal and vertical DPI and see if both of those numbers are least 100. Have you tried to connect the iPhone to the same network as the printer and try to AirPrint the pic? The AirPrint route does not have the same DPI requirements as the ePrint .

Multiple copies of same picture

I have three albums on the phone; camera roll, photo library, and last 12 months. They all have the same pictures, and photo library even has doubles of everything. I want to delete all of this off the phone and only keep one copy, why can't I delete the photos in photo library and last 12 months? I tried using iTunes, but no luck and can't do it right on the phone either. I have mobileme, but I don't think that's the problem. Thanks in advance for any help...

All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library. Sounds like you are using iPhoto with the last 12 months of photos that have been imported by iPhoto selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to be transferred to your iPhone. If so, the photos in the last 12 months are not duplicated. Photos in an iPhoto album or event transferred to your iPhone include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. Just as a photo cannot be in an iPhoto album, event, or in the last 12 months without being in the iPhoto library. Photos in an iPhoto album, event, and in the last 12 months are not duplicated in iPhoto. They include a pointer to the original photos stored in the iPhoto library.
This way you can transfer multiple iPhoto albums and events to your iPhone and when wanting to view photos in an album or event only, you can select the album or event. To view all photos available in all albums or events, you select the Photo Library where all photos are stored.
You can't delete photos transferred from your computer on your iPhone. To remove photos transferred from your computer is done in the same way the photos were transferred to your iPhone - via the iTunes sync process. If you don't want the last 12 months of photos imported by iPhoto on your iPhone, deselect this under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync. If you want some of the last 12 months photos available on your iPhone, create an iPhoto album or multiple albums for the photos you want available on your iPhone followed by selecting the albums under the Photos tab followed by a sync. You can also transfer select iPhoto events to your iPhone and remove an even in the same way - via the iTunes sync process.
Photos in the Camera Roll can be deleted direct with the iPhone and the Camera Roll is for temporary storage as with any other digital camera. iPhoto includes an option to delete photos from any digital camera after the import process is complete including after importing photos from the iPhone's Camera Roll.

My iphone has no pictures on it and my memory usage from photo library is 6.2 Gigs. How can I reset and get back this lost memory?

After resetting my phone, I re-installed apps and connected to my computer. I made sure I didn't sync any pictures. My iphone has no pictures on it, yet the memory usage on itunes AND the phone tells me that the iphoto database is taking 6.2 Gigs. Is there a way to zero that and regain that memory?

It seems like mine as well. The white balance on the camera is wrong. My iPhone 4 has better pics when taking them side by side with my 4s. Something is wrong somewhere.

Iphone V1 taking picture in red

The camera of my iphone is taking pictures in red/purple.
Even before shooting picture just when I run the camera the camera is showing everything as if a there's an effect over it (same thing for token picture.)
all other applications are working vey well.
My Iphone is V1(US), upgraded to firmware 2.0 recently.

HI, then try this and before you do this hold down the command keyboard button and then click the pictures that are duplicated and delete them. then try this -

On your iPad,iPhone keep the iCloud on in settings for Photos.
if you have not opened the New Photos application yet to have it transfer your photos from iPhoto let it Transfer the Pictures.
once you have all the pictures from iPhoto to Photos then in Photos go to Preferences
there is general and iCloud tab and go to the iCloud and only uncheck the iCloud button that will make it so it doesn't sync with your iPhone and iPad for Photos.
Then in Photos go up to View and press show sidebar because with that view you can move your pictures easier to albums snd delete or move any pictures or make new albums
when you are all done with moving around your pictures or whatever go back to Preferences and turn on iCloud and make sure you have the optimize Mac Storage and then you are done! I hope this makes sense and works for you! here are the 2 pictures I'm talking about in settings

You can sync as many devices as you like to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep it all straight by device, including separate backups.

Sync two folders with same pictures

Everytime i synce my pictures to my iphone it creates two folders of the exact same pictures one folder is called Photo Library and the other is Pictures which i named on my computer how do i get it so there is only one folder????Thanks

The reason is because you're syncing a folder that has a subdirectory called "Pictures." For each folder inside the one you're syncing it creates a seperate album. In addition, "Photo Library" contains all your photos in one single set.
In other words, if you want to avoid duplicates, do not have any subdirectories in your Photo folder. In your case, sync your phone to the "Pictures" folder and you should be fine.

Can anyone tell me why this picture changes color when I try to download/upload it? It is the exact same picture I have taken from the same location. The image on the left is via preview and the image on the right is what is shows like when I try to download it. I have emailed it to myself and it shows fine on the computer and in CS4, but when I look at the download via my phone or on another computer it shows the wonky color on the right. I have checked the color space shows RGB/8 bit. Any ideas why or how to fix it? It isn't with any one specific session.... and I've tried it on both my desktop and my laptop- saved image to an external hard drive and to drop box. I've tried sending the image to canvas on demand, my email, mpxipro, POST editing- all the same result. Please HELP!! What am I doing wrong?

Most of the time you see something like that. The image in question has a color profile other then sRGB. Some image viewers/displayers are color managed and others are not. So the image do not look the same in all of the applications you use. So colors seem to change.
Try converting it to sRGB color and see if then looks the same all around. Also I think PC and Mac displays are set to different gamma something like 1.8 and 2.2
Though I'm colorblind I even see color variations.
