IPhone 4 ringback tones?

I just added the ringback tone thing to my data plan, but I don't understand how you get it on your iphone. Do you purchase it on the verizon website and they just apply to the selected line or what? I'm confused because it says they aren't available for purchase online. I've had this feature before on other phones, but have no clue as to how to get it on my iphone etc. I've signed up for it so can someone help me and tell me where to get my tones or how? I'm just confused and couldn't find anything under the support tab. Thanks.

Each line you want to have the ring back tone you have to sign onto that numbers my Verizon account. So if you want a ringbacktone use your screen name and password then you go to media or something and buy a ringbacktone. If another line wants ringbacktones you have to sign into there name to add the fee $1 per month and then purchase songs online too. You can't share the tones so if you each like the same tones you have to buy for each.

  • How do i put a ringback tone to my iphone,

how do i set a ringback tone on my iphone

You would have to ask your carrier if they offer this.
It is not done with the iphone.  Your carrier would have to do this.

  • Iphone 5 users how do you down load and where do you download ringback tones have tried itunes search and all i cane get is ringtones

  • How do you use a ringback tone on an Iphone 5?

I am having great difficulty using my ringback tone on my iPhone 5.  Any thoughts?

    Moenetta,
You've come to the right place for help! Being able to customize your phone and ring back tones is definitely a great way to do that. What specific issues are you having with the ring back tones? have you already bought the ring back tone? How did you purchase the ring back tone? Please provide details so I may better assist.

  • I have paid for ringback tones, renewed license and paid fee, and now none of them are in my media anymore. iPhone 5c.

I have paid to use a number of ringback tones and they were working fine. I had to call my phone to find it earlier today and got the Verizon standard ringback tone, which prompted me to check my media settings and none of the ringback tones I paid for, and renewed the license for by paying the fee again a couple of months ago, are listed. I have an iPhone 5c. I don't know when they disappeared as I never call myself. How do I find them again?

I am unable to view my bill (that's another problem - my husband can't view it either and it isn't going to his email account or phone). Although I appear to be listed as an account manager, when I go to view my bill, it says I am only an account member and won't let me see it. My husband is the account owner, but he isn't listed as such. We take advantage of his employee discount through his employer, but we need to start getting a copy of our bill again in the mail. Neither of us know how the preferences were changed or why we stopped receiving a paper copy in the first place. And once I noticed my ringback tones had disappeared, I had no way to check the status of that either. Thanks for your reply. I look forward to your help with all of this. My ringback tones don't show up anywhere online. I know at one time you couldn't use them with the iPhone, but that changed awhile back.

  • Ringback tones do not play, still just ringing iPhone 4

I've read through the different questions and nobody seems to get the question answered.  I subscribe to the ringback tone feature and purchased 3 ringback tones through the media store to put in a jukebox.  I put the jukebox to the default field but when I call my phone number, all hear is ringing. I've had ringback tones on different phones and had no problems.  Is this an iPhone issue? It shouldn't be this difficult.

You have to go under your Vzw account and that's where you would find how to fix it since it is online only to buy them or change them. Are you still paying .99 for the service? If you aren't then that's why you don't hear them.  I thought hey lasted a certain amount of time.

  • Ringback Tones on more than one phone

I purchased many Ringback Tones for my phone which is the main phone number and administrator of account. I tried loading some onto another phone on my account and even though I can find and hit the number for my wife's phone, after I make a choice for a default Ringback tone, it does not work.
I am sure the answer is easy, but I still cannot do it. My phone is a Blackberry Storm (no comment) and the other phone is the new iPhone. Any suggestions??????????????? Thank you in advance.

Does wife in this case need to be an account manager to be registered to manage her own ringback tones?

You'll have to register a seperate MyVerizon account for your wife's number to manage her Ringback tones.  That account will also manage her Backup Assistant and other media purchases (like apps, ringtones, etc.).

  • Ringback Tone issue

Theowner of this account is my dad, however I log on every now and then to get something. Specifically, ringback tones. In the store, I set the "shopping for" option to my phone, and once I did it said that it would be set for my phone. I called my phone to test it, yet it didn't play (instead, it played my old ringback tone which I purchased through text). I have no way to check if it actually did get sent to my phone because when I look at the options to manage tones, it only shows me the option to manage them on my dad's phone. How do I see tone options for MY phone?

Each phone number needs to have it's own log in and password for MyVerizon - backup assistant and ringtones/ringbacks management is linked to each number exclusively.
Log out of Dad's account - perhaps even close the browser to ensure your are completely logged out. then go to verizonwireless.com and REGISTER with YOUR number. It should allow you to create a log in username and password for that number.
If it tells you the number is already registered, then you'll need to clear the cache and delete cookies, or use a different browser to create the separate accounts.
Once your number is set up with it's own account, you can manage YOUR ringbacks from MyVerizon. If you have the iPhone, you can download the MyVerizon app and manage them from your phone as well.
    Hope that explains it.

  • Ringback tone question

My husbands Iphone is the main phone on our account and mine is the add a line iphone, I keep trying to get ringback tones on my phone and they only go onto his phone. Is this a problem or can somebody help, am I doing something wrong?

You have to sign out of your husband's MyVerizon account for his line. Then clear the browser cookies and history. At that point you will REGISTER your line for its own MyVerizon account. Once registered you can purchase ringback tones for YOUR line and not his.

  • Ringback tone from iTunes account?

Is it possible to put a song from iTunes onto the iPhone 4S as a Ringback tone?

If you convert it correctly you can use iTunes songs as ringtones but not as a ringback tone. A ringback tone can only be purchased through your provider (in our case, Verizon Wireless).

  • Ringback tone problem

I m having a problem putting a ringback tone on my new 4s iPhone. Can anyone help

I love ringback tones! Whomever invented it was a genius.
In addition to what Adam E. says, you can go to ringback tones frequently asked questions.
I think #17 will help you set the ringback tones for you.
Again, if we haven't answered your question, tell us what you need help with and we can provide additional information.
    Thanks!

  • Ringback tone announcement

I really do not like hearing someone's ringback tone being announced when I call them and I equally do not like my Verizon Ringback tone app announcing it either.
I prefer having the same control over my ringback tone application in the same way that I have control over my ringtone announcements.
What can I do to change this setup in my droid?

My contract with Verizon has expired, I am considering whether to keep the
phone I currently have or renew my contract and upgrade to a newer version
of a droid, get an Apple iPhone or some other newer technology.
I have 2 other cell phones on my account that are also eligible for
upgrade. I spend what Verizon may think is not a lot of money but to me it
is a significant amount for 3 cell phones, and Verizon's services.
I have been in sales long enough to know that:
    1) The customer is ALWAYS right.
    2) That reminds me, the CUSTOMER is always right.
    3) Did I mention that the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!
When a sales person tell me that "That's just the way it is".
That tells me a few things about that person and the company he or she
    works for:
    1) They did not hear a word I said
    2) They have no interest in hearing what I said.
    3) What he or she is really telling me is:
We really don't care. Take your business elsewhere.
I get a 20% discount because of the company I work for, who has an account
with at least one other cell phone provider.
I can take my business some where else if it pleases Verizon who seems to
have no interest in listening to my concerns.
    No that's OK, I understand. I recognize that you're a representative of
Verizon and you're just doing you job.
Now I have a choice to make.  I'm going to go to my local Verizon store and
give them an opportunity to hear me. If they can't or won't, that will seal
    my decision.
Verizon has a number great services and products that I like and have
enjoyed but consumer loyalty is very thin and it only takes one issue for
the consumer to recognize, there is a need for a change.
