IPhone 4 running iOS 4.0.1 not loading images

Right so I've been an iPhone owner since the original iPhone and this is the first time I'm having this problem. It started the day I switched from iOS 4.0 to iOS 4.0.1, my iPhone 4 is taking extremely long to load images, if it does at all. It's only even loading images about 50% of the time... maybe less. My phone is saying I have full bars on 3G and I'm in an area I've always had full bars. Also, I do have a bumper on my iPhone so I don't think it's related to the antenna gripping thing.
Anyone else having this problem, or know what's causing it?
Thanks

I've tried restarting, resetting, and restoring unfortunately nothing seems to work. The problem actually seems to be just getting worse. I took my friends iPhone 3G running 3.x and my old iPhone 3G running 4.0 connected as an unlocked go-phone my iPhone 4 running 4.0.1 was the slowest. The friends on 3.x (I can't remember what update of 3.0 it was running) came in first followed by my old 3G on 4.0 came in second. As an example of how bad this is getting, my iPhone 4 took 4min 30sec to open this page!!! It stayed stuck on a blank white with the blue line slowly filling in the URL bar. This *****!!! It says I've got either full (five bars) of 3G or minus one (four bars). I've given up on YouTube, after about 30mins the phone quits and just says the server stopped responding. It seems to be software related as it only started when I moved to 4.0.1 (I have tried restoring and prior to setting the phone up from a backup I've tried just using it, and there is no change in the problem).
I would take it into an apple store but I live on an island without one. I'd have to buy a boat (or plane) ticket, rent a car, and drive 3hrs to one!
I wish I could just go back to my old iPhone 3G running 3.0!!!!!

  • I can see home sharing on my iPhone and iPad both running iOS 5 but when it loads the library is empty. Help!!

The iPad is new today so pleeeease help! I have the latest version of iTunes and both iPhone and iPad are up to date. I have never had a problem with home sharing before 10.5 iTunes. Both mobile devices can eventually see the shared library but load it as though it is empty. This applies to movies as well. I have turned off home sharing on the mac and restarted it. I have also made sure that the username and password on both mobile devices are correct. Help!

This has solved loads of people who have this issue and have used an alternate DNS setting.  Below are instructions for both iPhone OTA and on you Mac
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try an OTA (over the air update)
    Change DNS Servers
    Settings -> Wi-Fi
Click the blue arrow on your connected network
Delete everything in DNS and replace it with 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
    Try again
If this works, you will probably want to remove the WiFi network using "Forget This Network" and then reconnect to it to get your original DNS servers back. Alternatively, make a note of the original DNS servers before deleting them and replace it after you are done.
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try through iTunes
    On your Mac
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Network.
Select the network connection service you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, unless you named it something else) from the list, and then click Advanced.
Click DNS, and then click Add at the bottom of the DNS Servers list. Enter the IPv4 address for the DNS server.
    You can use OpenDNS
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    or
You can Google Public DNS if you want
    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4
I have actually repointed my routers DNS so all my devices now point to OpenDNS servers

  • IPhone 4 (iOS 7.1.1) not recognized by iTunes 11.1.5 on Mac OSX Mavericks. Frustration Station.

iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1.1) not recognized by iTunes 11.1.5 on Mac OSX Mavericks. Have tried all of the recommendations on the apple support site, I am running all current up to date versions of iTunes(11.1.5), Mac OSX(Mavericks), AND iOS 7.1.1 on my iPhone 4 and nothing has worked. Also tried doing some recommendation of deleting some ".plist" files in the preferences as I had seen on this support forum and my iPhone is still not recognized in iTunes at all. I plug my iPhone into my MacBook Pro and it makes the sound like it's connected and charging, but when I go "devices" in iTunes, it is all greyed out. I have had this iPhone since May 2011 and have synced it to this computer numerous times since then, with the last time being before I updated to Mavericks which was sometime in April. Not sure where to go from here, I've tried to delete iTunes and re-install, but when I try to drag the iTunes icon from "applcations", the system tells me I cannot do so as it is required by OSX. So, what gives?

durrrrr. nevermind. re-installed itunes and it looks good for now.

  • IOS 6.1 will not load into ipad

Cannot download iOS 6.1. Get an error message about three fourths of the way through.

Is the firmware in the router up to date?
See here for the latest for v2.2: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT54G
Note: All these ideas are a bit lame since you say that some iPhone 5s are connecting OK and they running the same iOS level 6.1 and, i think, have the same Broadcom WiFi chip BCM4334.
All devices are running iOS 6.1 right not 6.0.1, or 6.0.2?
You might want to try your iPad mini on some other WiFi networks to see how it fares there.

  • My iPad 3 running iOS 8.1 will not upgrade to 8.3. I have downloaded 8.3 but when I press install now and choose agree nothing happens for hours. Any help?

MY ipad3 running iOS 8.1 does not upgrade to 8.3. I have downloaded 8.3 but when I press install now and choose agree, nothing happens for hours. Any help?.

You are in the wrong discussion forum, but ok:
-- You say it is running 8.1 now, but your profile says 6.1.3, plse update your profile.
-- Did you download in Mac iTunes? or directly in the iPhone?
if in Mac iTunes: check the following Finder location:   Startupdisk->Homefolder (yourname)->Library->iTunes->iPadSoftwareUpdates :  the downloaded file should be there and be complete the extension should be  .ipsw, if it is not there or not complete you should download again.
if in the iPhone: notice that the install phase and verifying phase and restarting phase need (good) internet connection.

  • Is there a way to not load images in safari? Like on android you can tick a box to load images or no to the internet?

Is there a way to not load images in safari on ios 7 like in android there is
The option to load or not load images?

My reply here was specific for this thread, but as you noted, I didn´t read careful enough. I wrongfully took for granted that issues in the More Like This box was platform dependent. I tried to apolgize accordingly, I would like to see the post deleted, but that doesn´t stop you from policing obviously.
And instead of arrogantly replying about matters irrelevant for this thread, maybe you should start reading more carefully yourself. The posts you are referring to are related to large images failing to load properly in Safari 7. This is not as you claim "vaguely related". Take this elsewhere if you have a problem with it.
Again, sorry for messing up the thread.

  • In dynamic pages do not load images or styles

MAMP as a local server, when I open in Edge a dynamically generated page (Wordpress) in iPhone or iPad does not load images or CSS. But if I open a static page everything works correctly.
I tried to change the ports from localhost:8888 to localhost and not work either.

    Hi,
This is a known issue with the way Wordpress generates the URLs to included content:http://forums.adobe.com/message/4774943
Wordpress generates absolute URLs to content rather than relative URLs, so the current workaround is to either use relative URLs or, if that's not possible, modify the wordpress configuration to use the IP address instead of localhost.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • ERR "Could not load "image-loading" from icon theme"

Just finished installing OpenBox on a virtualbox
But cannot get nitrogen to set background.
while running nitrogen from command line
    [utkarsh@myhost ~] $ nitrogen
ERR: Could not load "image-loading" from icon theme, this indicates a problem with your Gtk/Gtkmm install

I too had to the same problem. Couldn't find why we get that error. But could set the wallpaper using the command line.

  • Can't export 'Could not load image' in new photos app

Since upgrading to the new photos app I'm having trouble exporting photos within folders where it gives me the error 'could not load image' have tried running a repair on the library but no luck. In iTunes when I go to sync the folder it comes up with 0 which makes me think they could be corrupted somehow.  Please help

For me this problem was caused because I moved my iPhoto library to a different hard drive before converting it to Photos.  I solved this by doing the following:
    1)  Opened the original iPhoto library with iPhoto in the original location, and made sure the Photos/Movies that did not work were working.
    2)  In iPhoto, I chose File->Switch Library and chose the original iPhoto Library
    3) I moved the library to the new hard drive
    4) I held down the Option key while launching iPhoto
    5) I chose "Other Library" and selected the original iPhoto library in the NEW location
    6) Quit iPhoto
    7) Open the Original library in the NEW location with Photos
After it converted the iPhoto library to a Photos library, everything seemed to work.
Steps 1 through 6 came from this article:
    http://appleinsider.com/articles/15/01/25/how-to-safely-move-your-macs-iphoto-li brary-onto-an-external-drive
Hope this helps.  If you don't have your original Library, I am not sure what to do.

  • Safari is loading webpages extremely slow and not loading images...

Not loading webpages a lot of the time and not loading images on sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. I'm new to Mac and I'm running Safari on a Mac Mini. Help? Also deleted ~/Libraries/Safari and it didn't work.

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can.
    1. Have you restarted your router and broadband modem since you first noticed the problem? If the answer is no, do that now and see whether there's any change.
    2. Are any other web browsers installed, and are they also slow?
    3. What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
    4. Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they also slow?
    5. If you can test Safari on another network, is it slow there too?
    6. If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?
