IPhone 4 Sales Policy in US for Non-Americans

Hello Folks.
About 2 - 3 monts ago Apple did change its sales policy on the iPhone 3GS allowing non-american (no social security) citizens to buy iPhone 3GS without a contract with AT&T by paying the full price.
Does any one knows if this policy will still aply on the iPhone 4?
Basically... some one from other country will be able to buy an iPhone 4 paying the full price ?

Even if you can buy it, it will be locked to AT&T, so won't work with any other carrier's SIM.

Adding Cost of Sales for Non-Stock articles to POS Inbound Pricing Schema

Hi guys
I'm working on a requirement to derive the Cost of Sales for non-stock items by pulling the current cost for the site and multiplying it by the billed quantity on VBRP. We could create a new condition type using purchase org, article and site in the condition table and manually enter condition records. However it would be more elegant to copy prices from the Purchasing list or deal prices into new condition types in the POS inbound pricing procedure. However SAP standard doesn't seem to allow condition copying from purchasing to sales.

As it happens you need to do this for Non-Stock Articles only.... then you need a routine to do this .
And then in IS -Retail do we not use NETPrice or Final Cost Price to derive the Sales Price ... In that case you get the Cost Price when the Billing doc is getting posted at line level...

Sales order MTO for non-valuated Material type

Hi Friends,
I need to create MTO sales order for non-valued material type, and at the time of save, I am getting an error that, Material "JOBFINISH" cannot be costed
Message no. CK113.
Diagnosis
In accordance with material type UNBW for material JOBFINISH, the material is not relevant for costing.
System Response
Material JOBFINISH is not costed.
Procedure
1. Check the master data for material JOBFINISH.
Display material master record
2. If you have authorization for Customizing, check whether the material type is correctly set for this material. A material can only be costed if the Costing indicator in the material type is set.
Can you please suggest to handel this kind of error.

First in MM03 ,check the Material Type & Costing View whether any cost is there.If it is not there ,then ask FI consultant to provide the Costing.
Then Go to OMS2 > Select Details against your Material Type > Can activate the Costing View ( if it is not there in MM03).

For non valuated sale order

Hi Freinds,
I got the following error while doing customization for Non-valuated sale order. In the Requirement class i selected the 40 and went in to details and have not selected any thing in the field Valuation which means i want to have "Non valuated" sale order.
Only special stock with separate valuation can be marked.
Message no. VT387 Diagnosis It is only possible to price and mark for valued special stock, with reference to a sales document or a project. System Response Procedure Procedure for System Administration
Any ideas in this regards, kindly share with me.

How to Link Sales Order for Non Purchase items to Purchase Order

Hi,
I am using SAP 2007A SP01 PL05.
I am creating a Sales Order for Non Purchase Items where i have 3 companies involved.
1. Owner of the Product
2. Transport Agent
3. Customer
Owner Sells to the Customer non Purchase Items manufactured internally.
Owner buys transports services from the Agent for these non purchase items.
I am creating a Sales Order for the Customer and at the same time i want to create a Purchase Order to the Transport Agent.
How do i Link Sales Order to a Purchase Order for Transport.
The Transport Charges are not to be Charged to the Customer and should not be added to the Sales Order.

Create purchase Item frieght in the purchase tab enter the transporter. include this in the sales order and in the logistic tab of sales order active purchase order check box, you frieght item will have a value of 0. when you create sales order the the system will lead you to create purchase order. there you can enter the price of freight. you can explore options there.
hope this will help you.. by doing this your base ref for PO would be Sales order.

Does anyone know how to print Canada Post shipping labels through Paypal for non ebay sales? I used to be able to do this but cannot figure out how to do it. My link does not work anymore.I called Paypal and they said to type Paypal.com/shipnow into the browser but that leads me to a log in page and after I log in I am at my Paypal summary page.Thanks in advance for your help.

The phones are never "free". You can get an older iphone for a lower price, if available. 2 year contracts are only offered if a phone is mailed to you. 2 year contracts have a higher line fee to recover the cost of the phone. The Next installment plan is available in stores. The line fee is reduced because you are payin for the phone in installments. Either way you end up paying for the phone over time.

IPhone 4 Returns - policy and experience clarification (US AT&T or Apple)

I'm considering returning my iPhone 4 and waiting to see how "issues" sort out before repurchasing. (the issues are well covered elsewhere on the board, would like to focus here just on return policy and experiences of others)
The stated Apple policy for iPhones is 30 days (14 days for other products, but 30 for iPhones), but says there will be a 10% restocking fee assessed (and I assume this would be based on non-discounted full list price of the phone).

There is nothing to be done. Unlocking is at the discretion of the carriers. Apple has no say in the matter at all. There is no law or regulation in the US that requires AT&T to unlock phones. Since they feel that it is not in their financial best interest to do so, they will not do so.
Apple is correct in stating it is AT&T that must initiate an unlock. Unfortunately, AT&T will not do so, so you're stuck.

Which OS, Version, Best Setup on like-new 2008 MBP for non-HD archival DV?

720GB 7200rpm Hard Drive (original 360GB 5400rpm drive also available)

(6GB RAM possible but additional $100+ for 4GB module needed now for software upgrades)
    I first and last used Final Cut Pro 2-3 in film school on a Titanium PowerBook (500MHz!) during the OS9/X transition. Next, was an Aluminum PowerBook (1.67Ghz) but because of life changes, I did little editing other than occasionally in iMovie. Then as an early adopter of iPhone/Pad, I rarely used my AlPB other than for back up, writing, and occasional simple editing.
    Now I'm finally entering the early MacIntel age with a pristine "early 2008" MacBook Pro bought for $250 from an elderly original-owner couple who used it only at home for email and iPhoto. Though at the end of its supported life, it's practically new with a known history of light graphics usage (no video or gaming rendering ever) delivered in the original box with original battery (only 46 cycles!), discs, manual, like-new charger, and no sign of wear. The original internal wrapper was even saved and put back on the device! Furthermore, because the wife was a photo enthusiast, the Apple Store swapped out her internal hard drive for a Western Digital 720GB 7200rpm drive and the husband just gave me the original 360GB drive!
    I want to do several things with this "new" device. I've done a lot of research but the world has changed since FCP 3 and the G4 processor and I'm overwhelmed with all the possibilities. I need guidance and have always appreciated the wisdom and generosity of the gurus here. I thank you all in advance!
iCloud integration: I'd like it since I'm an iPhone/Pad user. I could upgrade to Mountain Lion but Mavericks, under the best of conditions, is doable on my device and may give me improved CPU and battery performance. I realize this is best left for the OSX forums. HOWEVER...
Final Cut Pro: I want to also return to editing in FCP an unfinished documentary using primarily archival film and video converted to non-HD DV. This may greatly impact how I set up my drives and the decision as to which OS is best. So, this should probably be my initial decision.
Hard Drive: First and foremost, I should probably swap the drives and place the 7200rpm drive into an enclosure (Firewire or is that stone-age?) for FCP media, correct?
OS: With Mavericks, I must use FCPX which is beyond my current non-HD needs and will most likely strain my system resources. However, the new simplified interface is appealing and I've read some users are running it on "early 2008" MBPs. If an earlier OS is better suited, then which one? And also...
FCP Version: Which is most stable given my model? And which is best for non-HD needs? What about FCExpress? I want to explore more possibilities than what's available in iMovie and would appreciate the simpler interface found in FCE and FCPX, especially since I haven't used any Final Cut since FCP 3 but will gladly embrace what's best. I want to relearn the program and hope to continue using it for other projects.
Partitioned drive: Finally, what about partitioning my drive, one for daily life running Mavericks or other OS, the other solely dedicated to an optimized OS/FCP for non-HD editing? Even at 360 GB it should be doable if I keep it lean and the bulk of storage externally (I ran FCP 3 adequately on a partitioned 40GB drive back in the day). How much space should I dedicate to an FCP partition?
    Finances are tight and I'll need to upgrade Office, other apps (I know there's Rosetta in Snow Leopard but must weigh that with iCloud integration; decsions, decisions!) and probably locate an older copy of FCP on EBay or elsewhere which could be expensive. I must wait a bit before swapping in a 4GB RAM module and possibly upgrading to an SSD. Meanwhile, I'd like to experience this like-new MacBook Pro now, both as it was during its heyday and with what's still possible today. It seems doable and I appreciate any and all suggestions.

Just to note that there is much more commonality between FCP3 and FCP7 and/or FCE than with the early version and FCP X. IMO, learning FCP X is worth the effort, but it will require some effort since it is so different than traditional NLE's. You could "get by" with FCE for many types of projects and you should be able to find a copy on eBay or Amazon for a few hundred dollars. However, you will not be able to open a FCP project of any version with it. Also, I don;t think I would agree that its UI is simple; it's essentially the same as FCP.
As for partitioning, some people advise against editing from drives that have been partitioned. I use a partition on one machine and I've not had any problems, so I think it is an option.
As you can see from the replies you've received so far, you have reasonable choices. Good luck.

IPhone 6 External Mic not working for Siri/Dictation

I am finding that the external mic on my iPhone 6 works for phone calls and voice memos, but does not work for Siri/Dictation. When I plug in the earbuds, they work for everything (including Siri/Dictation).
Was chatting to Apple support who had me reset all settings. I thought that worked, but realized that after a reset, Siri is off and I was talking to "Voice control" (which works). When I turned Siri back on, it does not work.
I have two questions for the community to see if you can help:
1- I have been assuming this must be a software problem since the mic does work for non-Siri access. But is that true? Is there a hardware component that Siri depends on which could be faulty here?
2- If it is software, what action should I try to address it? I have done a reset all settings already and that did not help.

Hi, everyone. I talked to Apple Genius at Apple Store last week, she said it should be a software issue and I needed to reset my iphone 6 plus as a new device and I can not use the backup restore from my iCloud, it was because the microphone bug or glitch can be in the backup also. Ok, followed her advice, erased all contents and set my iphone as a new device , the microphone worked for an hour, but went bad again. I used "voice memo" app from Apple to test the microphone. It is the best tool since it doesn't involve any provider's network and it doesn't need another person's phone to listen and test. If you can hear your voice recording clearly, then the mic works. I tested it 3-4 times a day for a few days now, half of the time the mic doesn't work. So, set as a new device isn't working. The issue is intermittent and it comes and goes as it likes, so very annoying. I carry my Apple EarPods with me in these past few days ust in case I need to make important phone calls. Will need to go back to Apple Genius this weekend for sure. Will give update after the weekend.

Excise invoice issue for non stock orders

Hi,
We are unable to create excise invoice for non stock materials. When we try to create excise invoice with refernce to the billing document, the following error appears (message no 81681: reference document of 2917 is not delivery document). This process was working properly before updating patches, but after the updation, we are not able to generate excise invoice for non stock materials. (FYI: In the case of non stock order we are using order related billing). Any solution to resolve this error??

For sales with material type NLAG, Item category TAX and schedule line category CX contain the standard settings along with copy control settings (VTFL, item level requirement 004) that suit your case.

Stock Transport for Non Valuated Account Assigned Material

Hi Experts,
I have to satisfy some unique requirement from my demanding FICO team to make certain process work our way.
Following is the scenario...
1. Plant A and plant B belongs to the same company.
2. Plant A makes material X (non valuated, ind/coll indicator = 1).
3. X calls for sub-assembly Y (non valuated, ind/coll indicator = 1) which is a make item in plant B. X and Y belongs to different Profit Centers
4. Sales order placed at plant A for material X.
5. MRP runs and creates a stock transport order in plant A to buy the non valuated material Y from plant B. STO is account assigned to the sales order.
6. Plant B makes the material Y by creating a production order that is account assigned to the same sales order and does PGI to ships it out to plant A.
7. Plant A GRs the material Y and this puts it in sales order stock. No value move, just qty move. Also no FI document created.
8. Plant A issues component Y to the production order created for material X. Cost of Y doesn't show up in the production order as it is non valuated.
9. Upon settlement of the production order in Plant B, the ACTUAL cost gets settled to the sales order in plant A. So at the time of settlement the profit center switch happens for Y (i.e. the profit center for Y changes to match X's profit center)
This is a beautiful process from logistics point of view. BUT, my FICO has unique requirement for inter company sales for our organization. For them to consider a process as inter company sales, the following constraints has to be met...
1. Ownership of material remains with producing profit center until consumption by the receiving object. (with the above mentioned process the profit center switch happens during prod. order settlement)
2. Cost for the consuming profit center will be moving average, standard cost or planned cost. (we are dealing with non-valuated materials and the settlement happens at actual cost)
I need your expertise to help me define a work aroud. I am thinking about a lot of options to somehow make it work but can't seem to get solutions. Following are my thoughts...
1. Is it possible to possible to make the settlement with planned cost instead of actual cost?
2. Is it possible to make a profit center switch during consumption rather during settlement?
3. Is it somehow possible to create an underlying FI document during GR at plant A? (I know SAP does not create a FI doc. for non valuated materials).
4. Or can plant B send an invoice to plant A for the STO? (I believe this can be done for cross-company STO) I am thinking doing an Invoice Receipt at plant A instead of doing a settlement might show up the cost for Y in the production order for X.
An IR with the planned cost would be an awesome solution to get the buy-in from FICO. Can this be done?

Can anyone please help me on this issue for shippable item we can check in material transactions--distributions for cogs account and cost of an item. But how can we check the cost and account for non-shippable items (intangible items) with out using the items and item cost form.

You need to replace the join MSI.SALES_ACCOUNT(+) = GCC.CODE_COMBINATION_ID with msi.cost_of_sales_account(+) = GCC.CODE_COMBINATION_ID to get the COGS account. Currently you are getting sales account not COGS.
